Wendy stared out of her bedroom window with the same absence that had been written on her face for a year now. No one could name what it was that made the girl so unnaturally quiet; seemingly submissive of the world. It had happened so suddenly that not a soul had been a witness to her unravelling - no one except Mama. 

    Wendy knew that Mama had seen it all, felt it all and caused it all. And she knew that Mama liked it. Mama enjoyed the fact that the space her creations could exist in was getting infinitely smaller; so that they would have no choice but to come together. And Wendy could feel they weren’t strong enough to stand on their own anymore. 

    They were in the eye of the storm.
