Minseok’s POV

I stared at my cousin with a raised eyebrow. My stare was a little apprehensive and judgmental but I was mostly amused to be honest.

Junmyeon was drunk – dead drunk to be exact, and he’s a funny and clingy kind of drunk. His arms were tightly wrapped around the waist of Yixing and he was also spewing a lot of nonsensical words. I just couldn’t help but amusedly look on.

After our dinner, the six of us moved to a karaoke place to hang-out more. Jongdae was vehemently against it since going to a noraebang was Luhan’s idea but since everyone was going, even his dear best friend Baekhyun, he had no other choice but to come along.

He was grumbling and sulking during the first hour but soon he loosened up and decided to just enjoy himself. Well, everyone was tremendously enjoying themselves at this point. Blame it on the beer we’ve endlessly consumed and the nonstop singing we’ve done to be honest. We’re clearly feeling the effects of alcohol in our system by now.

“Isn’t he supposed to be clinging onto Jongdae?” I voiced out as I continued to stare at my drunken cousin, my face scrunched up in confusion.

Yixing looked at me with his signature dimpled smile. He then nodded his head towards another funny duo, a kitten snuggling onto a very smug deer. “Well, Jongdae’s a little busy at the moment,” he quipped.

I looked at my best friend and Baekhyun’s best friend. It was an amusing sight to be honest and it was one of those moments you just have to capture on film. So I quickly took out my phone and sneakily snapped a picture of the two.

Unexpectedly, or maybe expectedly, Luhan and Jongdae were in each other’s arms. Jongdae was on my best friend’s lap and the other had his arms securely wrapped around Jongdae’s waist. They giggled like high school lovers and they talked silently with each other, as if they’re afraid everyone in the room would hear their flirting. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at them.

I wonder what’s going to happen when they sober up. I internally mused.

“Well it’s good that they’re getting along quite well,” I told Yixing with a cheeky smile. The Chinese male chuckled and nodded his head. “Yeah. This is good material you know. We could tease them about this until we’re seventy!” he commented. I merely nodded my head and laughed along with him.

I then felt Yixing staring thoughtfully at me. “Speaking of getting along well,” he drawled out. “How are you and Baekhyun?” he cautiously asked. I stared at him inquisitively. “What do you mean by that?” I asked back.

My eyebrows furrowed together at his words. I was a little confused to be honest.

Yixing stared at me, curiously and closely. I was starting to feel a little self-conscious because of the intensity of his stare. I tried to look I was not affected by him at all.

He was about to say something when Junmyeon abruptly got up from his position. He looked like he was about to vomit as his cheeks were puffed. The two of us stared at my cousin worriedly.

“I think I’m going to puke,” was all he said before rushing out of the room with Yixing following suit.

I stared at the door that slowly and quietly closed behind them. I blinked a few times as I processed Yixing’s question.

My head then turned towards the person in question. I stared at him, observing him carefully and closely. My mind has slowly started to sober up.

Baekhyun was sifting through the song book, his lips jutted out into a cute pout as he tried to choose a song for his next performance. A small amused smile then adorned my face.

He had always loved singing. Even from back then, singing was his favorite pastime. He would always hum along his favorite songs or sometimes he’d just suddenly belt out a random verse in his head. Singing was indefinitely a part of him.

He has an incredible voice too. He could honestly pursue a career as a singer but singing was only and simply his hobby.

His head suddenly snapped up and our eyes then met. His gaze felt like I was being drawn into them. There was this undeniable pull inside of me, a tug at my heartstrings as we continued to stare at the each other. I could feel the intensity, the gravity, the electricity, and the force between us. It was strong – excessively and tremendously strong.

I nervously gulped down the lump on my throat. My heart has started to race in my chest.

Jongdae then grabbed the song book in Baekhyun’s hands, hastily searching through various songs. Our eye contact was then broken.

“What do you want to sing, Baek?” the troll asked his best friend. Baekhyun pursed his lips in thought. I saw his eyes lit up in excitement. I supposed he has thought of a good song. He got up
