After the carnival

 

"Its almost 7 now,.. Dinner?" Jonghyun asked

"Dinner!!!!!" Yoona instantly screamed in reply

 

Jonghyun took yoona to a small ramyun shop.

"Jongie-ah, you seemed to know cheonju quite well" yoona said refering to jonghyun's choice of dinner place. 

Jonghyun nodded and then answered "i've got an uncle that lives around here. I come and visit him from time to time, let order!"

 

So the pair proceeded to have a lovely dinner that evening

"Ahjusii!!! Seconds please!!!!!" Yoona asked the shop kepper happily

"Cominnggg!!, aigooo, what a lovely young girl you are, hahaha!" He replied

"Yahh!! Dont talk with your mouth full!" Jonghyun scolds yoona

Yoona shots a deadly glare while pouting at jonghyun before turning to the shop owner and grins

"Kamsahamida!!!" She screams as she receive her second bowl.

Jonghyun smiles and ruffles her head

"Aiiwwsshh!!! Im eawteng wehre" yoona said as she stuff the noodle in

 

CLING CLING

 

The door swings open

 

A middle age lady walked in carrying a young girl on her hand.

"Annyeonghaseyo agashi!" The shop owner greeted the lady

"Annyeonghaseyo" the lady replied

 

Yoona suddenly froze... She turned slowly to face the lady that has just entered... And their eyes met almost instantly

Yoona dropped the chopstick shes using....

They both looked like that just seen a ghost.. Frozen in shock...

 

Suddenly the lady rushed out of the shop...

Jonghyun noticed something is wrong...

He grabs yoona's both hands and said "whats wrong?..."

 

Yoona suddenly stood up.. 

She quickly ran out of the shop, Jonghyun followed her in shock

When he got out, he sees her running around left and right.. He sees tears running on both her cheeks

Jonghyun grabs her, hugs her and said "hey.. Hey... Whats wrong...."

 

"Jongie.... Omma.... Omma....." She stutteringly said

"!!!!! Omma!! cheongmal??" jonghyun asked

Yoona nods as she buries her head in his chest and cry some more

 

The evening dinner ended rather abruptly.. Jonghyun and yoona left the dinner shortly after the incident... 

But not before asking the owner few questions

 "Ahjusi, do you know that lady that came in earlier well?" Jonghyun asked.. Yoona is still too shokced to do anything

The owner knows something is up, anyone would.. Yoona was all cheery one second and the moment that lady came in, she's practically nerve wrecked.

"Uhmm... Not really.. She comes every now and then.. Sometime with her daughter.. Sometime with her husband... Thats all... We never really talk" 

 

Jonghyun and yoona greeted the owner goodbye before leaving

 

In the car, yoona is engrossed 

"Daughter.... Husband....." Yoona thinking in her mind...

"Omma... Wae....." She continued thinking when suddenly she feels jonghyun's arm grabbing hers

She looked at jonghyun and sees him giving her the warmest smile

"You're not alone..." Jonghyun said softly

"I know..." She replied... Finally showing a little smile

 

Yoona looked outside and see a forest road way"Where are going?.... "

"Mt uam" jonghyun replied

"Jongie-ah its almost 9pm, isnt it a bit late to go to Mt Uam area?" Yoona asked

Jonghyun just smiles in reply

 

Mt Uam is famous for its ancient fortress thats overlooking the whole city, its o normally full during the day but at night it is quite.

 

Jonghyun parked his car near the fortress site. He said to yoona "kaja"

Yoona just followed him blindly

She sees that jonghyun is walking on the direction of the fortress she asked him "isnt the site closed at this time?"

"It is" jonghyun answered without turning to her

 

"It is? So why are we going there??" Yoona thinks to herself, looking puzzled

 

Finally they both arrived at the Fortress. It was closed. Jonghyun knocked lightly and the keeper open the gate.

 

"Annyeonghaseyo, my name is lee jonghyun. We spoke earlier on the phone" jonghyun said to the keeper.

"Ahh dae.... Come in" the keeper said

"Make sure you leave before ten and dont leave any rubbish, ok?" The keeper continues

"Dae" jonghyun answered shortly

"Good luck!" The keeper said as he winked and gives jonghyun a meaningful smile

 

"Kaja, lets go up" yoona reached for yoona's hand and hold it. She just followed along

"Jongie...why did he wished you good luck?" Yoona asked

Again jonghyun just smiles in reply

 

Finally the couple reach the top of the fortress. The night view of the city is magnificent. For a few minutes after they reach there, both are just quite, marvelling the beauty of cheongju at night.

 

Jonghyun moves closer to yoona before finally hugging her from the back.

She smiles as soon as she feels him hugging her..

 

"Yoongie-ah! Show me your fingers..." Jonghyun finally said as he lifted yoona's right hand.

She complied.. Showing him her beautifully manicured fingers..

Suddenly jonghyun fitted a ring into one of her fingers

It was a silver colored ring with a beautiful red gem on it..

Yoona was surprised "!! Jongie!! What is this?!"

"Its a garnet ring"

"I was going to give you this for our one month anniversary.. But considering.... I thought it would be more appropriate to give it to you now..."

"I've got one too, see" jonghyun lifted his fingers to show her.

Yoona smiles as she intertwined her finger with his..

 

Jonghyun hugs her tighter and said while resting his head on her shoulder...

"Do you know what garnet stone means...." He asked

"Garnet stones represent loyalty..." 

"It means that no matter what happens in the future... No matter hard things gets or how bad things turned out... We will always stay true to each other..."

 

"Remember this... Each time you see this ring..."

"Remember what it means..."

 

"It means you will never.... ever.... be alone... Anymore...."

 

Jonghyun touched yoona's face and felt it wet from her tears.. He turned her to face her and kiss her gently...

 

And at very moment... Fireworks began to shoot in the sky...

Yoona was surprised... Her eyes widened in awe..

 

"Jongie.. Did you kno..." Yoona was about to asked when jonghyun said

"Its a spring festival fireworks,... I know it was happening.. I thought this would be the best spot to show you.."

"How did you get them to let you in at this time??" Yoona asked

"I told him i was going to propose to you" jonghyun smiled and said

"Yah!! No wonder he said good luck earlier" Yoona smacked jonghyun arm lightly as she blushed hard

 

The fireworks display was amazing full of colors and majesty... Both jonghyun and yoona are captivated by it...

 

"Jongie-ah...." Yoona said softly

"Hmm?.." Jonghyun replied

 

"Im glad you came into my life....." She said as she smiles and grabs jonghyuns arms and tighten his hug on her

 

Jonghyun cupped her head and replied

 

"Me too..."
