    CHAPTER 3     “Hey TAENG! You okay?!” Yuri said panting, a worried expression over her face as she tries to catch her breathe after visibly running to get here.   “Psshh, What are you doing here Yuri? I thought you’re hanging out with your personal zoo?”     After the fateful prophesy, the rest of the group immediately exited the tent, saying things like “She must be a hoax, no way dateless Taeng could worry about love problems” “Yeah, I mean can you worry about nothing???” “Hahaha Yeah possibly, if you’re dateless Taeng!” “But ewwww now she’s DATELESS and GAY Taeng” I hate those girls, it was just a blessing in disguise that they didn’t come from our school, otherwise, I would’ve been the talk of the town again tomorrow when school officially starts… I… And I wouldn’t want to go back to that dark time of my past again…       I shook my head back and forth as if doing so would release the throubled thoughts that have began to seep into my mind…   Tsk Taeyeon stop it! Stop thinking about the past!!!   Sigh…   But yup… unfortunately for our little group here earlier… cat is out of the bag. Thankfully though, Fany didn’t seem to be much disgusted that I was into girls. In fact in a few occasions, she’d even defend me saying things like they shouldn’t laugh about something like that or that all forms of love are valid.   Sigh… Fany, you make me fall for you more.         “Huh? Zoo? Are you going bonkers again Taeng? If you’re talking about the girls I ditched em in the roller coaster queue” Yuri said while knocking on my temples. “After all you make me so worried about you!”   “Yah! Just because you’re taller doesn’t mean you can make fun of my head like that!”     “I need this baby to think” I said while blocking Yuri’s multiple attempts to knock on my head and ruffle my already messy hair. Sorry, I forgot to bring my comb so I just put my hair in a donut style hopefully making it seem “like a style”.   “You mean you need your head to think dirty thoughts about girls, you byunTAE!”   “YAH! ing shut up Yuri! What if Fany hears! And WHAT! NO I’m not a Byuntae!”    Yuri just looks at me with that amused face that screams “Uh-huh Sureeeeee lie to me.” I’d swipe that smug grin outta her pretty face if I can. Sheez that’s what you get having true friends. They know you inside out like an old worn story book. Not that I mind really.   “So why ARE you here anyways?”   “Oh yeah! Hey I got a plan, you see… what if I deliberately spilled your confession to Fany what do you think? Won’t it be easier that way?”   “What??!!! YURI You -face why would you do that?! Are you insane?”     “See profanities, and not even a minute after I said you’re a Byuntae.”   “WHAT???!! I’m going to check on Fany in the restroom. It’s a waste talking to you like this”     “WAIT!!! Okay I’ll be serious, please hear me out Tae. Promise it’ll help” she said, grabbing my hand and stopping me from taking another step.   “Okay you got two peas” I said, narrowing my eyes and turning back to face her. Hands on my waist waiting for whatever stupid thing Yuri decides to throw my way.     “Huh?”   “Two peas! Two minutes! One pea usually measures to a centimeter the basic building block of a meter, which translates to a minute the basic measure of an hour! You didn’t know that? What is wrong with you?!” Exasperated I retorted. Jeez this people?!   Yuri just stares at me with a dead pan expression. WHAT??!!     “I’ll never understand how your brain works sometimes Taeng. Anyways, earlier we went to the fortune house right? And that seer proclaimed in front of everyone that the one you like is inside the room right?”   “SO?” Why are we even reliving such awkward moments of my life?!   “and Tiffany was also in the room right?”   “Yeah SO” I swallowed my saliva, blushing in embarrassment from the earlier incident.   “Can’t you see?! That’s the perfect opportunity! I’ll tease you and say something like “Fany, I think Taeng has a crush on you” then if she looks uncomfortable then it’s a no-go but if she looks happy then you tell her! Perfect huh?! That way we’d be able to know her answer beforehand and you won’t feel humiliated or awkward if she says no”   … …   “Damn, Yuri you’re a genius”   “I know right. And you get to use my expertise because you’re my buddy!” Yuri says flashing that signature arrogant grin of hers.   , gotta admit the plan really sounds nice.       “Yeah Yeah Okay, you’re amazing but, do you think it’s really okay to test Fany like that? I mean-“   “What do you mean Taeyeon! Now hurry up and bring her to that hill over there, it’s a nice and peaceful place to talk to. I’ll watch over you from here, and when I see the atmosphere is already comfortable, I’d go spill your secret to her”   “Wa- Wait let’s think more about this Yul!”   “See you later Taeng!!!” Yuri says waving her hands and hiding behind some bushes far from view.     Sigh… “I guess Mission: Spill the Peas is now in action.”   “What’s mission spill the peas?”     “Huh?! Oh!! Fany, umn, you startled me! My legs are aching a bit how about we go to that shade over then by the hill to rest?” I shifted my legs left and right to make it seem like it’s really strained.   Well, with her so close in front of me now… it kinda was.   “Okay!
