Chapter 11
Forsaken Dreamscape11
I open my eyes when I see bright lights flickering above me. I blink repeatedly, trying to clear the blurriness from my eyes. The light blinds me instead so I look to the side and I see a monochrome silhouette of a human being. I blink again and try to focus so I can finally see who it is.
“You’re awake, V.” he says in a deep voice and taps on the monitor beside him that continuously beeps since wires from it are attached to me. I realize it’s my heart beat monitor.
Once the image clarifies, I let my mouth wide open because the doctor looks very familiar and fear engulfs me. What’s there to fear? The fear of knowing nothing, but the dread lingers and I suddenly wish to disappear soon because this guy scares me.
I dig my nails through the gurney I’m currently lying down on. “Let me go.” I say lowly and I honestly wish I said it with authority instead of it being weak and helpless.
“You were honestly a hard patient to deal with.” he confesses and clears his throat, “But not impossible. I dare not to say such ridiculous thing.” he shakes his head and puts a hand on my forehead. “Do you remember?”
I spit at his face and glare at him, “Let me go, mother er.”
He wipes the spit from his face with the back of his hand before slapping me accross the face, “Is that how you repay someone who fixed you?”
