Time Is Finite
Description
The photo of the three of us with our arms around each other—tousled hair, flushed cheeks and bright eyes—was my favourite. I traced the wide smiles wistfully, remembering how I had fallen down right after that and cut my knee open. Jongin had helped me stick on a cartoon Band-Aid he had been saving, and Sehun had given me his favourite toy to comfort me. Both of them always gave to me freely, generously, without much thought.
There were many other things Jongin, Sehun and I had exchanged over the years, things lying forgotten in dusty corners that we had yet to return. But there was really only one thing that mattered and I feared I would never get it back because technically, I had given it away a long time ago and it was already all bloody and battered anyway.

Author's note:
The idols Sehun and Kai that we know and love are wrapped up in pretty packaging, marketed to us as products, but so much more. They are real people who hurt and love and laugh and live. And as much as we admire and support them, they are people we will never really know. This is the same for all the other characters, Krystal of f(x) who is Jung Soojung, Sulli as Choi Jinri, RV's Wendy and Seulgi as Son Seungwan and Kang Seulgi and many others.
But the Sehun and Jongin of Time Is Finite are the characters we have created for the boys, imbued with all the hopes and fears and flaws and quirks I imagine they have as people. They are very real to me, and so is Arang who is in many ways, a reflection of myself.
I love them very much and I hope you do too.
