6.   Suspicion

Luhan:: 19 years old

Sehun:: 15 years old

Luhan poured himself a glass of warm water and gulped it down in seconds.

He placed the glass into the sink and glanced at the clock. It was already 11:47 p.m. and he wanted nothing but to lie down on his bed and shut the whole world out for a good eight hours right now.

He strolled his way through the kitchen and reached the bottom of the staircase. He raised his head in fatigue and gave the stairs a weary glance.

He sometimes dread this moment: the moment when he was already tired but still had to go all the way upstairs to get to his room. He always felt like the short journey would drain his life out. Still, he unwillingly moved onto the steps.

He was currently working over a school assignment that was due on the next Thursday, and the amount of effort he put in was making him feel even more like a stranded whale on a beach.

Luhan could see the door to his room not far away from his reach, and he could see the light peeking out from the space under the door. Sehun was still up.

"Hey, hyung." Sehun looked up from his phone. He was sitting on his bed, the quilt covering his thighs and the pillow supporting his waist.

"Hey, Hun. What are you doing?" Luhan closed the door and yawned.

"Checking my phone. Why?" Sehun shrugged.

"Nothing. But you have been texting so much these days," Luhan paused, yawned again, "Even at time this late."

"It's not that late." Sehun said.

"Are you in a relationship?"

"What? No." Sehun let out a nervous little laugh. "No, hyung."

Luhan raised his eyebrows as he climbed into the bed. He puffed the pillow a bit and lay down with a satisfied sigh. "You sound nervous."

Sehun placed his phone onto the nightstand next to his bed, "I don't."
