Surprisingly, it’s not the sound of thunder and the flashes of lightning that wake Lu Han up in the middle of the night. It’s the sound of whimpers beneath those noises that jolt him awake. He can feel himself rolling onto his back without his consent and part of the blankets lifting up until they collapse back next to him on the bed. And when he opens his eyes against the darkness of the room, he can see his boyfriend hovering above him, twisting and turning in mid-air, and he frowns at the sight.   “Yifan?” Lu Han gently whispers, still watching as Yifan flies higher still until he’s bumping into the ceiling. Another whimper leaves Yifan’s mouth and Lu Han’s gaze softens at the sight, using his power to try and bring Yifan back down to their bed mentally.   It’s a struggle, Lu Han grunting at the sudden exertion after just waking up, but he finally uses enough of his energy to bring Yifan back down to him.
