“You look disgusting.”
Yifan doesn’t even look up from his book, full of inspirations and false dreams of owning his own little Groot plant one day – Lu Han is still trying to get over the fact his husband is reading a comic book before bed – as he gives his well-rehearsed response. “And you are ugly.”
Lu Han frowns as he stands by the side of their bed, staring at the younger man in a red ginseng face mask that makes him look like some ugly, wet monster thing ready to drown him in his sleep at any given moment. “Seriously? What makes you think you need to bring out that mask tonight?”
“You do realize it’s not even night, right? It’s nine-thirty in the morning.”
“But still!” Lu Han exclaims, waving his arms in the air dramatically, “Last night wasn’t even a stressful night!”
“For you maybe,” Yifan responds back as he flips a page in his ‘book,’ “But your poor husband had four difficult patients all night and two who walked out on him because he was apparently ‘being a douche.’”
Lu Han sighs in defeat as he climbs into bed next to his husband, burying his way under the covers because it’s winter and Christmas is next week. He goes nowhere near the younger though. That mask is creepy. “How much longer until your mask is done?” he whines as he feels his earring digging into his head. He should’ve taken it off before he got into bed.
