A drop of melted ice fell from the tip of a gigantic glacier onto an icy boulder. Long crack lines began to form from the boulder at the point where the water droplet has fallen onto. A loud 'crack' reverbrated into the surroundings. It was as though there was an earthquake and now, the grounds start to tremble. Fear filled the air, along with tension and suspense. 

The boulder started to break apart, big blocks of ice covered rock pieces fell to the ground, which results a large hole of shattered rocks to be formed due to its huge impact. Animals fled to places far away from this source of danger, those who stayed are mainly the injured and the submissive ones. 

More rocks start to fall from the boulder. It is catapulted to places so far that it disappeared like a speck of dust when the wind blew. The ground shooked violently. Trees began to fall, mostly uprooted. Thousands of birds flew away, in a huge flock of black.

And then it halted. The ground stopped shaking. No more of falling boulder pieces. It is just silence. But in a cave not so far, drops of fresh water continued to drip.

Drip... drip... drip...

These drops of water dripped onto a gigantic statue carved by black ice. The features are prominent and realistic, it was almost as though the statue is alive.

Ice started to crack off this mascot of a reptile, a loud cackling sound echoed. With every passing moment, the ice slid off this majestic creature.

At the every last moment when the final piece of ice slide of his body, he opened his black eyes. Alert, wary and searching.

It was of no doubt that he is awake and hungry. He hummed a long low note. His smooth pure white scales glistened in the dim light, his long mane of snow-like fur cascaded down his long body; his sharp talons scratched against the uneven surface of the ground.

He felt empty; physically, emotionally and psychologically. He laid down on his stomach, his tail curled around his long body unconciously. His eyes widened at the tree that stood tall before him. Sturdy and firm.

It has been a while since he last woke. His icy breathe came in contact with the tree trunk before him. Ice encased the plant almost immediately. He felt his eyes getting blurred by the passing minutes, a sharp pain attacked his abdominal area. His heart wrenched.

He roared a long tune of pain. Alone.

They heard him, fear was evident in the still air. They have no doubts now, he is awake.

The Pyry is awake...

Hey there friends! Yes, I regard you people as friends cos I like to make friends and all:P But anyways, I thank you for reading this fanfiction of mine. This is just the prologue for this story. I cannot guarantee that I will update often, but I will do my best since I do have some other fics to update and all. This is my first attempt in writing this kind of fanfic (as in set in olden times); It is not my forte but I was inspried by some fanfic on other fanfiction websites (read them a few years back and I still couldn't find the fanfic) but definitely, I will do my best!
