The morning of their last day on Jeju Island

 

Nichkhun was staring as Victoria was sleeping and all he could think about was how happy he was at that moment. It’s been a long time that he had experienced such happiness in his life. The kind of happiness that can only come from loving someone and being loved in return. He was looking at the sleeping beauty next to him, looking at her calm and beautiful face. He couldn’t help himself but to kiss her forehead lightly so not to wake her up. It was a light and tender kiss but carried with it all his love for her. His heart was expanding inside his chest, it wasn’t a heart flustering kind of moment, it was a feeling that your heart is literary expanding at the thought of someone you love or just by looking at them and your heart feel complete. That was what he was feeling. Looking at his girlfriend sleeping right next to him was more precious than anything else. He would rather be sitting right here for all eternity than be somewhere else

 

Victoria opened her eyes to find Nichkhun staring at her with a loving smile on his face. The way he looked at her was as if he was looking at the most precious thing in his life. Victoria was captivated by his stare, she wished that time would stop and that they would stay in this moment forever.

 

“Good morning honey” said Nichkhun with a loving voice then proceeded to lift Victoria’s chin up and kissed her lightly

 

“How was your sleep? Did you have a good night sleep?” asked Nichkhun gently while fixing her rough up hair

 

“It was the best night of my life because you were sleeping next to me” said Victoria in her cute voice while snuggling up to Nichkhun

 

Nichkhun just wrapped her in his arms, kissed the crown of her head and gently her arm and said

 

“It was the best night of my life too. When I woke up this morning and saw you sleeping next to me I was so happy I want to stay in this moment forever” said Nichkhun in a dreamy voice

 

Victoria turned her body to face him and rested her chin on his chest and said

 

“I’m sorry about last night Khun. I shouldn’t have asked you that question….I didn’t mean to pry on your past. If I had made you feel uncomfortable then I’m really sorry ok?” said Victoria in an apologetic tone

 

“No, honey you don’t need to apologize ok? It doesn’t matter anymore. It’s all in the past. Right now all I care about is our future together. You understand?” said Nichkhun looking straight into her eyes then he kissed her forehead again

 

Victoria smiled and nodded her head to indicate that she understood him

 

“Hurrrr…..I don’t want to go back….I want to stay here with you forever, these past few days have been so magical that I feel like I’m living in a dream and I don’t ever want to wake up” sigh Nichkhun

 

“It’s not like we’ll never see each other again Khun. We’ll still see each other at school right?” said Victoria smiling brightly trying to comfort her boyfriend

 

“Actually I will probably be able to come to school with you for the next couple of weeks, but after that I’ll be quite busy honey.….I’ve got some CFs I have to shoot in Korea, Japan and overseas and some photo shoot for some magazines too. Then I’ll be traveling to Japan to promote my previous drama that will begin to air there and hold a little fan meeting there. Then I’ll have to travel to China and Taiwan to promote the same drama that will begin to air there as well and I have to begin the preparation for the upcoming drama too. We’ll be going through script reading with the whole cast, clothes fitting, poster shooting, media conferences and lots of meetings. Then in November I’ll be hosting a fan meeting which I haven’t had one in over 5 years so I have to begin preparing for that.  I’ll be pretty busy honey” said Nichkhun sounding apologetic

 

Victoria was a bit heartbroken to hear that Nichkhun will be busy and probably won’t be able to be with her at school as much anymore, but being the supportive girl that she was she tried to shake off that feeling and pretended that she was ok with it

 

“It’s ok Khun. I know you’re really busy guy. I’ll be ok” said Victoria while giving him a bright smile

 

“Really? You’d really be ok not seeing me?” said Nichkhun with a sad looking expression on his face

 

“Oh come on Khun~~ I’m trying to be strong here. Of course I would love to see you and be with you all the time” said Victoria pouting a little

 

“I’d love (light peck on her cheek)….to see you (light peck on nose)….and be with you (light peck on her eye)….all the time too (light peck on her lips)” said Nichkhun lovingly and teasingly at Victoria then proceeded to give her a little pecks of light kisses on her neck

 

“Oh god you smell so good!” said Nichkhun in an over exaggerated voice

 

Victoria started laughing at his attempt to praise her

 

“What do you mean I smell good? How can I smell good when I haven’t even taken a shower?” asked Victoria while chuckling

 

“Of course you do!! No matter what you’d smell good to me! Even when you’re drench in sweat you’d still smell goooood” said Nichkhun with serious mocking face and an emphasize on the word “good” in a deep teasing voice

 

Victoria burst out laughing at his playfulness

 

“Hehehe. I don’t believe you Khun” said Victoria while sticking out her tongue and scrunched up her nose at his cute and adorable cheesiness

 

“Oh you don’t believe me huh? Now do you believe me now? Say you believe me or I won’t stop” said Nichkhun while started to tickle Victoria at her waist

 

Victoria started screaming and squirming in bed trying to avoid his hands from tickling her to death

 

“Arghh Khun stop!! Please stop…hahaha…please…kekeke….stop tickling me!!! Ok ok ok!! I believe you can you stop now?? Hahaha” said Victoria laughing and screaming at her boyfriend who continued to tickle her non-stop

 

“Hahaha that’ll teach you a lesson! Hehehe” said Nichkhun and continue to attack her

 

Outside the door all the other friends were standing in front of the room listening to the sounds of the two love birds enjoying their time together. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear listening to their friends expressing love for one another. After a while Luna motioned that they should all leave and give them some privacy. They all started heading back to their own respective room when Wooyoung said

 

“Aigoo these two” smiling and shaking his head while proceeded back to his room

 

Around 9:30 Nichkhun and Victoria walked down hand in hand to join their friends at the dining table for breakfast. When the two approached their friends they were met with more teasing

 

“Oh Khun~ stop tickling me!!....kekeke….please Khun stop it~~”teased Wooyoung in a mocking tone and everyone just started laughing so hard at the burning red face Nichkhun and Victoria

 

“Hahaha if you guys don’t want to be teased then you should have kept it low…hahaha sorry you brought this on yourself guys…hahaha” said Krystal

 

Nichkhun knew he had to divert the attention from himself and Victoria and there was only one person whom he could think of that would make a perfect scapegoat

 

“Yeah?? What about you Wooyoung ah?? I saw you followed Luna into her room last night looking all happy and awestruck…something you want to share with the rest of us??” said Nickhun smiling brightly while getting revenge from his best friend

 

Wooyoung and Luna immediately blushed at his comment while everyone else suddenly turned their attention towards the now-looking-all-flustered Wooyoung and Luna and began teasing them instead

 

“Oh he did huh?? I didn’t know that? Hehehe what’s going on Wooyoung ahh why did you follow her into the room??” asked Teacyeon while eyeing his friend and wiggling his eyebrows at him

 

“Aisshh nothing happened….she just helped take all those makeup off for me that’s all aisshhh” said Wooyoung and glanced over at Luna who also glanced back at him smiling shyly

 

Everyone noticed the two gave each other a quick glanced and immediately suspect that something happened last night behind closed door.

 

“Omo…something’s definitely going on…I can tell….spilled it guys” said Krystal smiling accusingly at her friends

 

“Nothing happened guys~~….I just helped him with those makeup that’s all~~” said Luna pleadingly at her friends to stop teasing them

 

Flashback

 

Luna took Wooyoung’s hand and led him into her room. Wooyoung was already flustered at the fact that Luna is holding his hand and that was enough for him to lose his mind. Luna led him into the bathroom and sat him down on the edge of the bathtub while she turned around and grabbed a pack of makeup wipes. She sat down next to him on the edge of the bathtub and hold his face in one hand while using the other to gently wipe the makeup off from his face. Wooyoung was sitting there looking at her with a warm smile on his face and feeling of gratitude at her gentleness.

 

“Stay still ok…I’ll help take them off now” said Luna smiling her little smile at him

 

Wooyoung continued to stare at her beautiful face while she was cleaning his face. He was touched at her kindness and he couldn’t help but smile. Wooyoung suddenly reached up and hold Luna’s hand, looked into her eyes and said

 

“Thank you so much Luna….you really are an angel” said Wooyoung in a loving tone

 

Luna began to blushed at his word, but didn’t attempt to pull her hand out from his

 

“You’re welcome Wooyoung” said Luna blushing and smiling shyly

 

End of flashback

 

“Ok, ok, ok…come on guys enough teasing already. We’re just playing with you. Don’t worry Wooyoung ahh, we love seeing you guys happy” said Victoria with a warm smile at Wooyoung and Luna

 

“ok ok We’re just pulling your legs that’s all~~” said Nichkhun with a bright smile to his friends

 

“Thanks Vic” said Luna to her best friend shyly

 

They all proceeded to the dining table where they had their breakfast. Today’s breakfast was consist of different brands of cereals, French toast, bagels, muffins, pancakes, hash browns and virtually every kind of egg dishes available to human kind whether it’s boil, fry, scramble, poach or omelet.

 

After their delicious breakfast they all head out to the table under the tree to take their morning coffee. The sun was bright, but the wind was blowing constantly. Sitting under the shade of the tree listening the sound of the waves and the birds chirping, it was paradise. Nichkhun decided that it was a perfect moment that should be captured on camera and proceeded to take out his digital camera and his mini instax camera and began taking pictures of Victoria and their friends.

 

Teacyeon immediately scooped up right next to Krystal and Victoria while Wooyoung and Luna stand at the back all smiling brightly. Next up was the individual pictures and then it was couple pictures. Wooyoung and Luna both put up a “V” sign next to their faces, Krystal and Teacyeon smiled brightly at the camera, then it was Nichkhun giving Victoria a back hug while Victoria put up a “V” sign next to her cheek and smiled brightly at the camera.

 

“1,2,3” counted Wooyoung, but at that moment Nichkhun suddenly turned and gave Victoria a kiss on the cheek. Victoria jerked her body up in response to the sudden kiss. When they looked at the polaroid picture they both roared into a loud laughter because the picture came out really ugly…… ugly to be exact.

 

Nichkhun’s face was smooched into Victoria’s cheek, his nose squished and bended size way, his eyes were half shut and half open. Victoria’s expression on the other hand was a mixture of shock and scare like someone had just pulled down her pants in the middle of the street with her eyes bulging while still putting up a “V” sign next to her face.

 

“Hahahaha oh my god!! You looked soooo ugly in this picture Khun” said Victoria laughing at the picture of them

 

“Hahaha well you aren’t looking so hot yourself honey hahaha” said Nichkhun

 

“I like this picture can I have this?” asked Victoria still amazed at how bad the picture turned out

 

“Of course honeeeyyy” said Nichkhun teasingly

 

They must have taken at least a couple dozen of pictures. Everyone was laughing smiling giving each other hi-five and hugs.

 

Afterwards Wooyoung suggested that they put on some music and proceeded to pick out the music and then press play and suddenly The Killer’s “Mr. Brightside” blasted out of the speakers. Wooyoung started jumping up and down to the beat of the music and pulled Luna up to join him. Then Nichkhun dragged Victoria and Krystal up to join Wooyoung and Luna and Teacyeon immediately followed. They were all jumping up and down shaking their heads and sing along to the song as if they were a bunch of college kids at a rock concert. Songs after songs and they continued on with their dance marathon until slowly they began to lie down on the grass panting and trying to catch their breaths.

 

Nichkhun was lying down next to Victoria holding her hand in his. He turned his face towards her and gave out a bright smile to which she replied with one of her own.

 

“Do you want to go for a ride?” asked Nichkhun smiling brightly at Victoria

 

“Really?....Yes I’d love to Khun! hehehe” said Victoria nodded her head with a big eye staring at her boyfriend

 

Nichkhun couldn’t help but laugh at her cute and adorable reaction. He took her hand to help her get up and walked over to Krystal

 

“Hey Krys do you mind if we take the car out for a spin?” asked Nichkhun

 

“Of course not! Go ahead guys have fun~~” said Krystal smiling at her friends and wave goodbye at them

 

“Thanks Krys” said Victoria and Nichkhun as they began walking towards the car while waving goodbye at Krystal

 

Nichkhun and Victoria got into the black MINI and Nichkhun put on a baseball cap and sunglasses and said

 

“Let’s go!!” exclaimed Nichkhun enthusiastically while Victoria started clapping her hands

 

Nichkhun took off from the Jung estate and sped out onto the road. He his iPod that is connected to the car’s stereo and the music of Al green’s Let’s stay together came out from the speakers. Victoria immediately recognized the song and began tapping her hand to the beat of the music, while Nichkhun started swaying his head along to the beats as well. He reached out and held Victoria’s hand in his and they began to sing along to the song

 

“I’m…I’m so in love with you~~ whatever you want to do is all right with me~~~~” they both began to sing and looked at each other with bright smile on their faces

 

“Cause you make me feel so brand new~~ and I want to spend my life with you~~ let me say that since, baby, since we’ve been together~~ loving you forever is what I need~~”

 

“Oh let me be the one you come running to~~ I’ll never be untrue~~” Nichkhun was singing out loud at the top of his lungs but completely off key. Victoria couldn’t stop laughing at his singing ability or lack there off, but since the car is moving and there was no one else inside the car they didn’t care. They didn’t care because it felt so good to sing along to the song while holding each other’s hand.

 

The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, the air fresh Victoria closed her eyes and stretched out her arms in the air to enjoy the freedom and how good it felt. Nichkhun was driving along the 5-16 road going up Mt. Hallasan, about 20 minutes into the ride and about half way up Mt. Hallasan Nichkhun turned to Victoria and said

 

“Up ahead is my favorite part of this road” said Nichkhun smiling warmly at her

 

“Why?” asked Victoria smiling back at him

 

“You’ll see” he said

 

And then right in front of her was a long stretch of picturesque tree tunnel covering the sky. Victoria’s mouth dropped at the beautiful sight. She couldn’t believe her eyes that a simple drive on a simple road could reveal such magnificent sight of mother nature’s creation. The beautiful tall trees along the road stood tall up into the sky with their branches stretched out covering the sunlight and revealing a little bit of the bright blue sky above. There were no other cars on the road and Victoria felt as if the road would never end. Nichkhun finally pulled the car up on the side of the road to let Victoria took in the sight. There was only silence between them. The only sound she could hear was the sound of the tree branches moving against the blowing wind

 

Victoria eyes began to tear up, she turned to Nichkhun who was looking at her with a tender smile on his face. She reached out to bring his face closer to her and said

 

“Thank you for showing me this place Khun and thank you for sharing this moment with me…..I love you” and she drew him closer to her and gave him a kiss with all her heart and soul in it

 

Nichkhun responded with a passionate kiss of his own and when they finally let go he said

 

“I love you too Victoria Song” he said looking deep into her eyes

 

They started their journey along the beautiful road again after a few minutes later. Nichkhun continued on the beautiful road until they reached an intersection where Nichkhun turned right and continued on until slowly coming into view on the left was the long beautiful lava shore line, emerald beach, beautiful wild flowers and waves crashing over the rocks. Victoria wanted to take it all in, she wanted to remember this moment forever. She slowly reached out for his hand, put it over her heart as they continued driving through the stunning sight in front of them

 

It was 12:30 when they got back to the house. They walked in to find their friends already at the dining table about to start their lunch

 

“Oh you guys made it back just in time! Come on we’re about to start” said Luna excitedly

 

Lunch was consisted of steaming rice, jjamppong, chapchae, bulgogi, godeungeo gui, sweet and sour chicken and kimchijeon. After lunch everyone went back to their respective rooms to pack their belongings and prepare to leave at 3 PM.

 

“Have you finished packing already honey?” asked Nichkhun

 

“Yes I have Khun. I’ve finished packing since this morning. Do you need help with your stuff?” asked Victoria and began to get up to help her boyfriend pack

 

“No, it’s ok honey, you just sit here and relax….I’ll take care of my stuffs. I’ll be right back” said Nichkhun and kissed her on her forehead and left towards his room

 

Victoria was sitting on the sofa looking out onto the lawn when Teacyeon approached her and plopped down next to her

 

“Have you finished packing?” asked Victoria looking a little confused

 

“Oh…yeah….I just stuffed everything in the bag and that’s it…hehehe” said Teacyeon a little embarrassed at his own packing method

Teacyeon looked at Victoria with a little smile on his face and said

 

“Thank you Victoria….thank you for making Khun so happy….I haven’t seen him this happy in a very long time…it’s nice to finally see his smile again” said Teacyeon gratefully to Victoria

 

“No, no need to thank me. He makes me happy too Teac. I’m very happy with him too” said Victoria smiling brightly at the thought of how much happiness she’s experiencing with Nichkhun

 

“No, I have to thank you especially after what he went through….Wooyoung and I wasn’t sure if he’d open his heart ever again, but because of you my best friend is able to love again so…..thank you very much Victoria…really” said Teacyeon with a serious expression on his face

 

“Would you mind telling me what happened to him Teac? I’m sorry to ask, but it was clear that he was still hurt by it and I’m not sure if I should ask him” asked Victoria looking a little bit concerned

 

“Well her name is Gyuri, she was the first woman he ever truly loved, back then she was working for a major fashion clothing company. They met when Khun did a photo shoot for the brand. She was 26 and he just turned 23 when they got together….He was young and inexperienced….I think it was the first time that he ever truly give his heart and soul to someone…..He really loved her…..They were together for 3 years….I thought that they were happy, I know Khun was, but I didn’t know she wasn’t happy….actually nobody knows, especially Khun….That’s why when she broke up with him it was such a shocked……We all went out to dinner together the day that she broke up with him, it wasn’t that long after his 26^th birthday. There was no sign at all…..after she broke up with him Khun was a complete mess…..For months he didn’t speak to anyone, hell he barely spoke to me and Wooyoung…..His heart was shattered Vic…it took him almost a year to finally began to get better, but I know the experience still haunted him to this day….” said Teacyeon looking a little solemn while reminiscing of the past

 

Victoria listened to Teacyeon told the story of Nichkhun’s heartbreak and she felt pain inside her.  She had never experienced such trauma, but she could imagine that it must have been really painful for Nichkhun. She suddenly felt like wrapping her arms around him and tell him how much she love him. She slowly wiped away tears in her eyes, turned to Teacyeon and said

 

“Thank you very much Teac for telling me the story…it hurts me to know of what he’d been through…” said Victoria smiling a little smile at Teacyeon

 

“Please don’t ever break his heart Vic…I’m begging you…please just….love him” said Teacyeon looking into her eyes, pleading with her

 

“Don’t worry Teac. I have given him my heart and I don’t intend on taking it back” said Victoria with a little smile on her face to comfort Teacyeon

 

 “Hey are you hitting on my girl there Teac?” said Nichkhun with a teasing smile while walking down from the stair towards them

 

“Yeah I was just trying my luck man, but it seemed like she’s head over heels with someone else there” said Teacyeon teasingly and got up to let Nichkhun sit down next to Victoria

 

“Ok I’m off to finish packing and you two love birds keep it low ok? Hahaha” said Teacyeon teasingly at his friends

 

Nichkhun sat down next to Victoria and pulled her in for a hug, she rested her head on his chest while he tenderly her arm in a loving manner

 

“So….you were flirting with Teac huh?? I was gone for 10 minutes and you have a change of heart??” said Nichkhun smiling and pretending to be sulky

 

Victoria just hit him on the chest “Ouch!” Nichkhun cried out

 

“So you think I’m that kind of girl huh?” asked Victoria pretending to be mad at his question

 

“Sorry honeeeyyy, I was just kidding…I know you’re not like that” said Nichkhun and lifted her chin up and kissed her

 

After a while everyone came downstairs all packed and ready to leave. The maids began putting everyone’s luggage in the car and before they got into the car they all turned to take a last look at the beautiful ocean in front of them

 

“This is the best vacation in my life….I really had the time of my life here” said Nichkhun while still holding Victoria in one arm. Victoria turned to him and said

 

“The time of our lives Khun” said Victoria smiling at her beloved boyfriend

 

“Yes….the time of our lives” smiled Nichkhun and they all got into the car and drove off towards the airport
