So Wrong But So Right
Show Me“He loves her Tae,” I sighed as I ran a hand through my hair recalling Sehun and Jinae’s interactions on the balcony the night before.
I wanted to help her. I wanted her to be free from this life of struggle and hardship but she dug herself a grave so deep that now I can’t even pull her out. She found out who he was too quickly. I know now that she could never be separated from him because he was whom she hoped would save her every day.
“Baek, he and I made a pact on his mom’s death anniversary three years ago. He can’t go back on that because he’s met some silly little girl,” her eyes burned with an unknown fire that even I had not seen before “He is to marry me and we are to take over all of eastern Asia,”
I closed my eyes as I fell deep into thought. She was right and as far as I know Sehun would never go back on a pact marked in blood especially blood that was his own as well but Jinae was a new pawn in this game. A pawn that could change everything. He loved her that much was true but with that comes consequences. Ones I don’t think even he will be strong enough to face.
“Tae, he is too obsessed and she is so blinded by him that even I could not persuade her to secretly leave with me someday,” my voice came out solemnly as I stared at the ground “I know you want her dead with a burning passion but please let me try my way…”
She looked at me in slight confusion but it quickly turned into irritation as she stood up and walked towards my desk.
“You’ve fallen for that too haven’t you?” her tone came out full of venom and as cold as ice as she placed both her hands in front of me “Baekhyun, we had a deal too you know…”
I cringed remembering my night of ignorance and the man I had been before. I was power thirsty and blood hungry too stupid to realize what the consequences of my actions would be.
“I promised you once Sehun and I were married and had everything settled we would get him out of the way! We could be together like we’ve always wanted!” she looked at me with tears beginning to form in her eyes as she held back from screaming at me.
“Taeyeon,” another voice entered the room and I looked over to see a slender girl with raven hair twirling a knife in her hand leaning against the door frame.
“Yoona,” she cleared and addressed the girl in a more civil manner than how she was previously.
“They left the mansion to head for the inner city. Yifan told me she was moving in officially…” the girl informed as Taeyeon nodded in understanding her eyes glazed with a cold blank stare.
“We’ll continue this conversation when I get back. Don’t turn your back on me like he did…I love you more,” she mumbled and stormed out of the room Yoona shooting me one last glance before exiting behind her.
Jinae
Memories that’s all that came back to me when we pulled up in front of my old apartment building and I couldn’t help but sigh. It was always such a nice place and only now do I realize that I never truly appreciated it. My neighbors and landlord were always so kind to me. I was grateful that I could look at the building in fond memory.
“As soon as you step out of this car with me you realize you will become a target correct?” Sehun said as he tore his eyes off of the pavement before us to meet mine “Every enemy I have will be after your head in attempts to get to me…”
He spoke with an uncertain sadness and I couldn’t help but feel almost touched at his concern.
“Yes,” I replied cutting him off slight and let out a deep breath as I squeezed his hand gently “but I hope you will protect me,”
Quickly, I opened the door and slid out of the car eager to go to my apartment I could only imagine what kind of state it was in. It wasn’t long until Sehun had gotten out of the car and was at my side intertwining my fingers with his.
We made our way into the building and not even second after entering I bumped into one of my neighbors Mrs. Lee with her three year old son Hyukjae.
“Jinae?” she asked as I smiled and waved “Oh my god! I thought you had left for good or something awful had happened to you!”
I flinched a bit remembering my first week at Sehun’s house and released his hand and shook my head smiling a bit at the woman.
“Umm no I have been well just took a personal vacation,” I lied and it flew right over her head as she stared curiously at Sehun a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“And…you mig
