“That was so embarrassing.” I complained.

“Let’s go home now.” Mir took my hand and began walking in the direction of our dorm.

“But Mir, what about your birthday kiss? I don’t know if you want anyone in particular to kiss you, but I’m sure we could get a fan girl to do it.”

Mir looked at the ground, he looked somewhat nervous.

“No, I don’t want a fan girl to kiss me.”

“Do you like a certain girl who is a singer too? That would be harder, but we might be able to find someone.”

“No, I don’t want to be kissed by a singer girl either.”

“Then who do you want your birthday kiss from?”

Mir stopped and turned around to face me. He looked really nervous now and his face was turning red. He squeezed my hand and bit his bottom lip.

“I want a kiss from Joon-hyung…”

I didn’t say anything. All I could think was Does Mir really like me like that?

“But…not here. Not in front of everyone. I want to go home so we can be alone and you can kiss me.”

Neither of us said anything while we walked home. Mir still held my hand, and I didn’t stop him. A million things were going through my mind on the way home. So this definitely means he likes me right? You don’t just ask to kiss someone you don’t like, especially not ask to be alone with them and kiss them right? I don’t know. I really like Mir too, but I thought maybe it was just a crush and I would like girls again later. But I’ve liked him for a long time now…do I want him to be my boyfriend officially? I don’t know…When we finally got home there was a note on the door. I read it out loud as Mir put all of his gifts down on the kitchen table:

                Dear Mir and Joon,

Mir, we’re so sorry! We totally forgot about your birthday, we’re such bad hyungs! We all went out to buy you presents so please don’t be sad! We all love you, Mir! Sorry!

This note made the situation even more awkward. I crumpled it up and tossed it into the living room somewhere. I looked at Mir, who looked like a mixture of sad, nervous, and embarrassed. I could only imagine what was going through his mind.

“I guess we’re alone, just  like you wanted.”

“Yeah.” He said weakly.
