He waited for her like always on the corner of silent the street were the lamp twitched and the convenient store was opened till the wee hours of the night. He sat on the concrete watching luxurious cars pass by. He looked at his phone hours passed turning to minutes each becoming longer. He bundled up the night was cold and eerie. A car screeched stopping at a distance from were he sat. The click of heels walking towards him each step more urgent and fast with every step. He stood up meeting the known stranger. He looked at her her hair was a mess, swollen lips and he clothes was ripped. He took off his jacket placing it around her frail body. They spoke no words, they weren't really needed. He took her hand, cold and boney. He lead the way to his house, like always. The sound of her heels and their steady breaths filled the empty street. They walked past the park were they first met years ago, down the street to her favorite bakery, around the corner were he worked and close to the record store. She looked at their hands, intertwined almost fitting but not quite. She stared at the back his head as he pulled her up stairs. He was tall and too nice for his own good. When they reached his apartment he bent down to take off her shoes, his fingers to gentle. He smiled at her like he always did, his eyes showed no grudges. "Come on." his deep voice flooded her ears. She nodded following him. If he took her to the end of the world and told her to jump; she would do it. She blindly trusted him because he was the only person that didn't judge her. They were in his bathroom. He told her to sit down on the toilet, she watched as he filled the bathtub rolling up his sleeves. He placed some nice smelling
