It was three minutes past midnight. It's offical: they've been together for four year. But after everything that's been happening for the past week, Tiffany didn't feel like celebrating. She kept staring at her phone, waiting for him to text her. He would for the past years, he was always the one who sent the text first. Not because she waited for it, but because he would just send it first.. Exactly a minute past midnight. It was now 10 minutes past it and she decided to take matters into her own hands.

"Happy 4th anniversary, Nick. ~ <3"

She knew it was too simple, but at least it was direct to the point. The moment she hit send, dread started to fill her. What if he doesn't text back? Maybe he's asleep already. Or maybe he's avoiding texting. Tiffany had a battle with her thoughts and found herself falling asleep.

When she woke up that morning, she didn't want to leave her bed. She didn't get any text.

She was on the brink of falling back to sleep when she heard a knock on her door. Looking up, she saw Taeyeon peeking from the door.

"Fany, a package arrived for you today." She said, bringing a small box with her. Taeyeon crawled into the bed and sat in front of Tiffany offering the box to her. She begrudgingly took it and opened it haphazardly. It was her anniversary gift for him: a personalized leather bracelet with a silver plate with their initials and the date of their anniversary. She didn't know what to do. They had plans to meet up at the place where they first met.

Taeyeon on the other hand was fidgeting. If Tiffany wasn't too distracted with her thoughts, she would have noticed it and would pester her what was up with her. She really was a bad liar and she couldn't risk telling Tiffany that she talked to Nichkhun yesterday. She would definitely get mad at her for unintentionally going behind her back. But there was a good reason why that happened and she couldn't tell Tiffany. It wasn't her place.

So, to take her mind of things, Taeyeon planned a whole girl day for them. She was hoping Tiffany would agree given the situation they were in.

"Fany, do you want to spend the day with me and the girls? We'll go to the spa and get massages and have a well deserved R&R. We'll get our hair and nails done." She offered. Tiffany looked up at Taeyeon, her eyes telling her that she was considering it. Should she really? It was their special day. But then again, Nichkhun hasn't acknowledged their anniversary since he hasn't texted her at all.

Figuring that she was apprehensive, Taeyeon threw in the ultimate bargain. "We'll go shopping before that of course."

"I'm in." Tiffany surrendered.

"Let's go shop for clothes to wear tonight. We'll have a casual night out so, of course, no fancy cocktail dresses alright?" Taeyeon announced to the group once they entered the store. It had all ranges of clothes, from shorts to pants, skirts to dresses. They even have a whole line of shoes ranging from flats to fancy heels. Name it, they have it. They were joined by Yuri, Hyoyeon and Jessica. They would meet the rest at the spa.

Taeyeon and Jessica stuck to Tiffany like glue and started suggesting a couple of pieces.

"Fany, you should buy a dress."

"Better add a cardigan to that since it will be a little cold tonight."

"Oh, white oxfords! We need to make that a thing again."

"I know you like pink, but I think you should wear something blue today."

"But not plain blue, maybe stripes?"

"No, Taeyeon! She looks cuter with polkadots."

They were hounding her and Tiffany couldn't help but laugh. She liked the feeling of having people hover over her, like they care. Her friends really do know how to make her forget her problems. She basically didn't do any shopping, they did it for her. They threw her into the fitting room and handed her dresses to try. Each one of them gave her a set to wear, all of the same style. But she was having too much fun modeling to notice. They would tell her to mix the pices that each one of them handed to her.

After all the modeling, they finally picked a navy blue dress with white polkadots which ended an inch above her knees. A red sleeve knit sweater top cardigan and white oxford shoes. She was about to take out her credit card when Taeyeon announced that it was paid for. She insisted that she pay her back but Taeyeon just brushed her off. She noticed that the other girls were already headed to the car, storing their shopping bags in the trunk. She took the longest, but it was weird that she was the only one who was practically stuck in the fitting room. She even wondered if Taeyeon or Jessica bought any clothes so she asked Taeyeon.

"We did. While Yuri and Hyoyeon were making you model their choices, me and Sica went about and shopped."

Satisfied, she got into the car and they made their way to the spa.

After their spa session, they went out to eat before heading to the salon. Having eaten prior to their spa session, Yoona and Yuri went ahead to the salon and by the time the others got there, they were done.

"Where are you going?" Tiffany asked noticing that Yoona got her keys out. They were supposed to all hang-out tonight.

"We just have to run a few errands. We'll meet you at the place." Yoona answered. Accepting their answer, they all waved towards the two before they were attended to by the staff of the salon.

Tiffany was having so much fun that she almost forgot it was her and Nichkhun's anniversary. Almost. But she decided not to let that get in the way when her friends have gone to such lengths to be with her and distract her.

"Where are we heading to after this?" She asked out loud, not to any one of her friends in particular. Sooyoung who was seated nearby answered her. "I'm not sure. Taeyeon says it's a surprise. That's fun, right?"

Tiffany just smiled and nodded. She actually felt excited.

More than an hour later, all of them were made up so they headed to their cars. Seohyun and Taeyeon were driving. The rest of the members were with Seohyun while Jessica and Tiffany were with Taeyeon. Tiffany assumed that Seohyun knew where they were heading since she drove ahead them.

A couple of minutes into driving, Taeyeon pulled over. Putting the car on hazard, she fished something out of he glove compartment.

"To make things interesting, I want you two to be blindfolded." Taeyeon exclaimed excitedly. She put on the blindfold on Jessica first and then Tiffany. And just like that they were on their way.

A couple of minutes later, Taeyeon pulled over and announced that they were at the venue already. She told Tiffany that she would be leading Jessica first so she was to wait in the car and not pull the blindfold down. She complied, she didn't want to spoil the fun of surprises. It seem Taeyeon really went all out for them to celebrate today. Before leaving her alone, Taeyeon offered her iPod to Tiffany so that she wouldn't be bored with waiting.

Tiffany pressed play and by coincidence, 2PM's Only You played. When Nichkhun's part played, she couldn't help but feel her heart ache for her love. She really did miss him. She then only realized that she hasn't checked her phone since morning. She was about to pull down her blindfold when she heard the door open and Taeyeon calling her name. She decided to just check her phone later.

"When can I take this blindfold off?" Tiffany asked impatiently but excitedly. Taeyeon just laughed at her. They were climbing the stairs and then stopped. They must be on the floor already.

"I want you to count to 20. After that, you can take it off. I'm gonna go and help Seohyun out." Taeyeon explained simply. All Tiffany heard was the sound of footsteps growing softer and that was when she counted to 10.

1, 2, 3, 4 - she took a sniff an smelled something akin to roses. There must have been scented candles -11, 12, 13, 14 - she took a tentative step forward and felt the flooring change, like there was suddenly a carpet. - 19, 20.

Tiffany took her blindfold off and gasped with what she saw. She was standing at the end of a familiar hallway. She was right with both guesses: there was a carpet leading her to one of the rooms down the hall and it was lined with a couple of candles. She slowly walked down the carpet, her heart beating faster with every step she took. Halfway towards the room, she noticed something on the floor. She picked it up and ran her fingers on the cover. It was a book on learning Korean that had the logo of the school on top of the cover. She now knew where she was. She was at her old school, the Korean Kent Foreign School and she recognized the book. She flipped through the pages and saw the familiar doodles that she made with the owner. Her eyes were starting to brim with tears.

With the book in one hand, she made her way to the room, figuring who was waiting for her. Once she was at the doorway, she saw him, leaning against the only desk in the room which was his old desk.

"I see you've found the book." That was the first thing he said to her.

"I remember when I first bumped into you. I was running to class because I was late. And to think it was the first day of school. I bumped into you and my books fell. That was the one you picked up and handed over to me while saying sorry over and over again. When I looked at you, all my annoyance vanished. You were smiling was saying sorry and all I wanted to know was your name. Before I had the chance to ask yo
