" 1...2...3...4,..... Ah! my penny!" , whined of the young girl when the last piece of her coins to count

slipped down on her tiny hands and then rolled somewhere.

 

 

"Ahh...excuse me Ahjussi...you're stepping on my penny", shyly said of the young girl towards the man

who is sitting comfortably on one of the benches of the Hospital's waiting area.

 

The said man looked up from the book he's reading into the young girl.

 

"Ow! Im sorry young lady, here", he said as he picked up the coin from the floor and then handed it back

to the young girl.

"Thank you Ahjussi!", she politely accepted the coin and then bowed her head.

The man simply smiled as a response.

 

 

"Oh Ahjussi!, by any chance, do you know how to wake people up?", asked by the young girl out of the blue,

while pointing to the book the man's holding and reading.

"Huh?"

"Your book, it says 'Awakenings'", she answered.

The man took a quick look on his book, realizing its title, then stared back to the young girl again.

 

"Hmm, I don't think so, Im not really sure...why young lady is there someone here hard to wake up?,

this time the man asked, as he invited the girl to seat beside him, in which the girl accepted without hesitance.

"Yeah, there is..."

"May I know who's the sleepyhead?", asked the man trying to add some humor on his words.

"Cho hee... my friend", she simply replied.

"What happened to her?"

"Hmm...I don't know...maybe Cho hee counted more sheeps than the usual. I told her to count just enough

to make her go to sleep. But now, she's in a deep sleep", said the young girl as she sigh heavily, while

flexing and extending her legs, looking out somewhere of the waiting area.

"You guys count sheeps?!", asked the man trying to be oblivious of her words.

"Yeah... I told Cho hee to count sheeps using her imagination everytime she's having the hard time to sleep...

her head aches badly most of the time"

"W-where is she now?"

"There!, over there!", pointed of the young girl on the hallway that leads to the patient's rooms.

Now he understand what the young girl means.

 

"When you go straight to that hallway, then turn on your left, the second door on your left is her room",

she sketched out.

Then the man noticed a sudden change on the expression of her face after she said that.

It was gloomy and sad.

This time the young girl turned her head low, and fidgetting on her nails.

 

"I miss Cho hee, I miss playing with her", blurted out of the young girl with an obvious sad tone on her voice.

 

"Don't worry, she'll wake up one day"

 

Then the young girl looked up to him this time, with a bright smile plastered on her face.

 

"Of course she will!, just like what sleeping beauty did"

Her eyes were filled with hope. The man can't help but to admire the young girl's strong spirit.

 

 

"Lucy, Lucy!", called out of the angelic voice who is on her white uniform, and approaching the two of them.

 

"Eonnie!", excitedly half shouted of the young girl the moment she saw her approaching. The young girl

jumped off on her seat, then hugged the lady.

 

"There you are! I've been looking for you", she bend down making her on the same level with the young girl.

"Im sorry eonnie", the young girl apologized to the lady as she wrapped her arms around the lady's neck.

 

Realizing the presence of the man who is now standing infront of them, Nurse Taeyeon stand up from her

knees, and bowed to the man.

 

"I hope she did not cause any trouble to you sir"

"Nah, don't worry she's been a good girl"

"Glad to hear that, well if you don't mind sir, I'll get her now, its almost time for her medication", Nurse Taeyeon

informed the man.

"It's okay, I don't mind"

Then the man bend on his knees this time as he patted the girl's head lightly.

 

"Thank you for accompanying me Lucy, its my pleasure to meet you", smiled the man, then bid his goodbye,

taking his leave too.

 

 

"Were you've really been a good girl?, Nurse Taeyeon asked

"Of course eonnie!"

"Alright, as you said"

 

"Oh!", hissed the young girl.

"What is it?", Nurse taeyeon asked, as they stopped on their track.

"I didn't ask for Ahjussi's name!", as she realized, then pouted.

Taeyeon can't help but to chuckle on her cuteness.

 

"Don't worry, you'll gonna meet him again"

"Really eonnie?!"

"Neh, just ask him next time okay?"

"Okay!"

"Lets go then?", Taeyeon invited to the young girl.

"Neh!"
