Dara

 

Here I am still hiding under my blanket with Chaerin lying down beside me, it went quiet outside, I think about my twins but I know they are okay and they didn’t hear what we heard and saw a while ago, I remove the blanket covering my face and body then look at the door

 

‘Do you think it’s safe to go out?’ I whisper and ask Chaerin who removed the blankets covering her body too

 

‘I don’t know but I won’t leave this room until the sun comes out..’ she answered back, I look at her then she look at me, I know this is kind of awkward especially our position right now

 

‘But we have to take a look’ I said, ignoring the idea that I’m going to SLEEP in the same bed with her

 

‘Okay then you check it!’ she said, I shook her head and take a deep breath

 

What if that ghost kid is still there and the doll…. Ooohhhhh it gives me creeps!

 

‘I think WE should check it out together’ I emphasize the WE word so she will get it

 

‘Ah no no no Dara, what if that thing is still out there?!’

 

‘We won’t know Chaerin so we have to take a look’ I jump out of my bed then look at her

 

‘Argh! Fine’ she jump out of my bed too but stop on her tracks then look around my room

 

‘What are you looking for?’ I asked her

 

‘Something hard to hit that things head’ she answered

 

‘If I’s a real ghost, you can’t hit it! It will pass through..’ she look at me for a while and smiled

 

‘Oh yeah, I never thought of that’ I shook my head and she walk and position herself behind me, we walk slowly towards the door and I’m about 2- 3 steps away from it when we heard a sound

I look at Chaerin and I saw her looking at me

 

‘Did you hear that?’ she whispered, I nodded my head, I don’t want to say a word or I’ll scream again

There it is again but it’s not coming from the door, I turn around and look at my window

 

‘The sound is coming from there’ I said to her, I saw Chaerin widen her eyes

 

‘It can fly? Oh my god it can fly!’ she said, I hit her on the arms, if she won’t stop freaking out, I will be freaking it out too

 

‘Just follow my steps and we will take a peek’ I said to her

 

‘Are you out of your mind? What if appears in front of our faces all of a sudden’ she answered me

 

‘Oh don’t be such a baby!’ she rolled her eyes at me, I need to pretend that I’m not scared but deep inside, Man! I want to hide under my blanket again. We were inching closer to the window, I can feel my heart beats fast and I think I can hear Chaerin’s heartbeat too, she’s too close to my body and i

 

Stop it Dara! We’re in the middle of horror scene here!

 

I reach out for the curtain so I can peek outside then I didn’t see someone outside

 

‘Maybe it’s just the branches of the tree’ I heard Chaerin said, well I want to believe in her but the real thing is there’s no tree near my window!

 

‘Uhm yeah maybe..’ I answered I was about to open the door so I can see clearly when sudden a thing hit my window and I screamed

I don’t know what happen but when I heard Dara scream, I scream too! Well you can’t blame me, this night of horror will soon be over!

My eyes are still close and we are back on the bed hiding under the blanket, I don’t know what’s going on and what’s happening, I need to calm myself down, I slowly open my eyes but then I’m surprise on what I see

 

Awkward!!

 

I’m hugging Dara, her head is resting on my chest while her left hand is clinging on my neck, her eyes are still closed and I don’t know how to react

 

“Ah baby. Oh sorry I mean Dee?” I said

 

“Yeah?” she answered back

 

“You need to relax, okay?”

 

“How? Why this nightmare won’t stop!”

 

“It will be over soon, see t’s already ah..” I look at my watch then sigh

 

“It’s already 12 am..” I added

 

“12 am? Geez Chaerin!” she said

 

“Okay, okay, I will let you sleep first..”

 

“What about you?” I saw her slowly opening her eyes

 

“Uhm I, ah you know, I’ll sleep after you..” I said, I try to look away but damn these eyes are betraying me

 

“No, we will sleep together, I’ll be fine but please stay here with me..” I don’t know how to respond but I just nodded my head at her but then again we heard that sound again

 

‘They won’t stop Chaerin’ I heard Dara said, now this time I’m pissed, I jump out of the bed and walk straight to the window, open it and take a look outsde

 

“What do you want?!” I screamed then I saw two shadows waving at me, I want to scream but I stopped when I saw it’s Seungri-Oppa and Youngbae-Oppa

 

“Chaerin!” Seungri said to me

 

“What are you guys doing here?” I asked them then Youngbae-Oppa showed me the bag he brought

 

“We came here to give your clothes..” he said, I close the window again and walk towards Dara’s door

 

“Where are you going?” she asked me

 

“Well there’a two men standing outside by the name of Seungri and Youngbae, I think they are the ones who keep throwing something on your window

 

“What?! Wait I’ll come with you..” she said

 

 

We manage to go downstairs especially now that we are both pissed, we thought that they are the ones who scared us a while ago

 

“What? Of course not!” Seungri-Oppa said then I look to my brother

 

“It’s true Chaerin, yeah we are the ones who threw those rock on your window but like he told you, we don’t have the key to the house..” he explained

 

“I forgot the key you gave to me and my phone too, so we both decided to threw rocks on your window, sorry for INTERRUPTING you guys!” Seungri-Oppa said and smiled, we know that smiled, he thought that we are doing something

 

“Okay the you two can go, it’s kinda late and we need some rest..” Dara said to them, our two Oppa’s stood up and went straight to the door

 

“Sorry and good night..” Youngbae-Oppa said then he close the door

 

 

 

Dara and Chaerin went upstairs but they took some food with them

 

“What a  night..” Chaerin said and place the tray she’s holding on top of the bed

 

“Yeah! I didn’t know that when you got scared, you’ll end up like starving to death” Dara answered, Chaerin laugh and gave a bread to Dara

 

“Thanks..” she said, Dara then sits beside Chaerin and open her TV

 

“Thanks for letting me spend the night with you guys..” Chaerin said to her, Dara smiled and took a bite on her bread

 

“You made this jam?” Chaerin asked Dara then the latter nods her head

 

“It’s Jeiven’s favourite..” she answered

 

“Well it’s my favourite too, here have a bite..” Dara hesitates to take a bite but after what they’ve been through, she don’t want to disappoint her, she then took a bite from Chaerin’s bread

 

“Well I made it so yeah it tastes good!” Dara said

 

“Ms. Show off!” Chaerin answered, Dara laugh at her and shook her head

 

“You still don’t accept the fact that I’m a better cook than you and that no one can replace me in your heart..” Dara said without thinking of the words she said, Chaerin look at her

 

“Yeah I won’t accept the fact but you already know that no one can ever replace you in my heart..” Dara then look at Chaerin

 

“Oh look Little Mermaid, you know how I love this kind of cartoons right..” she said, ignoring Chaerin, the latter notice it and she sigh

 

“Yeah, you do. You even cried when watching those cartoons even though you already saw the ending..” Chaerin said, Dara hit her on the arms while Chaerin laugh

 

“Such a cry baby!” Chaerin added

 

“I’m not! Well there’s nothing wrong with that, unlike you, the protagonist died and yet you just stare at the TV screen” Dara fired back

 

“Well it’s his fault, his leading lady told him not to go inside but he insisted..” Chaerin answered, Dara laugh hard and Chaerin feel happy to know that she’s making Dara laugh

 

“Okay enough of these, we need to get some sleep. I have to cook breakfast tomorrow before you leave..” Dara said, she took the tray and place it on the table near the door. The two went to the bathroom and brush their teeth, when they are finished, Chaerin went straight to the sofa bed and place her pillow on top of it

 

“What are you doing?” Dara asked her

 

“Sleeping, why?” Chaerin asked back

 

“I told you to sleep beside me, I’m still scared you know..”

 

“Hmm are you scared or you’re feeling hot all of a sudden”

 

“Chaerin!”

 

“Kekeke  kidding, I’m just teasing you so you won’t be scared..” Chaerin then place her pillow beside Dara’s, she climb on the bed and turn off the lamp

 

“Good night Dara..” Chaerin said and turn around to face her but it’s already too late to realize that their face is just an inch away from each other

 

“Good night, Chaerin..” Dara answered and kiss her cheeks, on the other hand Chaerin froze for a moment and smiled

 

I wish we could be like this forever
