At the park one day, a mother was playing happily with her child while the father is watching them. The child's name is Minah. Together, she and her were playing a game of catch. "Appa!" little Minah called as she waved towards her father. He waved back at her. After a few rounds of catch, they stopped to take a lunch break. There were laughter in the air. Everything was happy and peaceful between Minah and her family until one tragic day.

It all happened on a rainy night. Minah and her family were going home after a lovely dinner. The rain was pouring down heavily. Suddenly, the car skidded and screams of fright filled inside. Then, the car overturned and crash onto the side of the road. Minah and her family got into a car accident and they were hurt. Luckily, some drivers who spotted the accident, quickly called the ambulance.

Minah woke up from her unconsciousness and find out that she's in the hospital. "You are lucky that you survived the accident with a minor injury, young lady," the doctor said, who came into her ward to check on her. Minah saw that she has bandages on her arms. "Where's omma and appa?" she asked. The doctor heaved out a sad sigh. "I'm sorry to tell you this. Your parents did not survive the car crash. We tried everything we could to save them. I'm really sorry," he informed. Minah did not understand what the doctor meant. "That means your parents are dead, my dear," the nurse translate for her.

Hearing the shocking news, Minah began to cry. "Omma! Appa! Why did you have to leave me?" she sobbed. The nurse tried to comfort her with a hug. When she came with her meal, Minah refused to eat. But the nurse encourages her to eat. Sometimes, the nurse comes in to entertain Minah with storybooks, toys and singing songs just to make Minah feel better. Unfortunately, it didn't last as Minah began to cry again for the lost of her parents.

After three days, Minah is starting to feel better. Before she was discharged the next day, a middle aged woman came to her. "Annyong," the woman greeted. "Annyong," Minah greeted back. "I overheard that your parents died in the car crash. I'm sorry about that," said the woman as she place her arms around Minah. "My name is Mrs Han and I am the head of __________ Orphanage," the woman introduces herself. Then, she introduces a young woman and a girl next door.
