Due to his daily routine habits, Seungri woke up even before day broke. He felt for the space next to him on the bed, it was cool and empty, like it had been unoccupied. In a moment, it hit him and he was wide awake, he quickly sat up and was going to rush down the bed when he saw Kwon Jiyong sitting next to the window, a hand under his chin, like he was pondering over something.

Hearing the sounds Seungri was making, Kwon Jiyong turned and smiled, ‘Are you afraid I’d left?’

Seungri stiffened, and quietly, he started to pull on his clothes. They had been strewn all over the room yesterday, but now sat neatly folded on the bedside table. Seungri slowly adjusted his breathing, not wanting Kwon Jiyong to notice his distress.

Yes, he was indeed scared that Kwon Jiyong had left.

If he’d left, when would he get another chance to get close to him?

‘Lee Seunghyun, it’s almost sunrise, pack your stuff and wash up. Let’s go out and walk around.’

Kwon Jiyong said without taking his eyes off from the scenery outside. Seungri couldn’t tell his expression from his toneless voice, what he really meant by his words. Had Kwon Jiyong really accept his identity or were they just partners, Seungri didn’t know. He also didn’t know how to behave more naturally with him, so in the end, he just stayed where he was and replied ‘yes’ calmly.

After packing his things and checking out of the room, he left with Kwon Jiyong. They walked side by side, yet remained silent. Seungri found it hard to relate this Kwon Jiyong with the hot blooded one from last night, who had pounded into him so hard like he was trying to join their bodies together.

Seungri looked around curiously and laid his eyes on a stall selling buns. He tugged at Jiyong’s sleeve and smiled, ‘Jiyong hyung, shall we get a few buns?’

When Kwon Jiyong turned and their eyes met, Seungri felt as if he had been possessed, he could only stand there dumbly. Maybe he hadn’t that much understanding about this man, this legendary cult leader whom he’d just met and spent just a few short days together, but he had never felt afraid of him before. Yet he'd felt the murderous intent from Kwon Jiyong’s eyes, in that instant he didn’t know what to do except to grip the hilt of his sword tightly.

Kwon Jiyong eyed the way Lee Seunghyun had grabbed his sword and gestured with his chin, joking, ‘What, are you gonna kill me if I don’t agree to eat buns?’

‘Ah...It’s just a habit.’

Kwon Jiyong patted Seungri’s back, ‘Come on, let’s go grab a bite.’

It was a small simple shop with just a few tables. Seungri wiped a table with the cloth placed at a corner of it. After cleaning, he looked up at Kwon Jiyong, who smiled and sat down.

‘Madam, a few buns please,’ Seungri called out to the owner.

‘Coming!’ The lady checked out the two of them and served up a huge plate of buns, beaming. ‘Here you go, and two extra veg buns as service!’

‘Thank you,’ Kwon Jiyong nodded and smiled genially at the owner. Her face brightened even more, ‘Both of you are so good looking!’

Seungri just looked dumbfounded at the buns stacked into a shocking height, how on earth would they be able to finish these!

Kwon Jiyong burst out laughing at the look on Seungri’s face. He picked up one and took a huge bite, ‘We can always take the leftovers to go, why are you so worried?’

‘Just thought that this looks a bit much….’ Seungri was going to start eating but then he saw a few kids at the entrance eyeing their mountain of buns. They didn’t look like beggars, but looked pretty starved. Heart softening, he took a few and walked over to them, ‘Here, take these.’

The kids took them and looked ecstatic, yet none took a bite.

‘They are for you, you can eat them,’ Seungri gently the head of the smallest kid.

‘We have more here, you can take them home to eat,’ Kwon Jiyong’s voice sounded out next to his ear, and he turned to see him passing the kids a bag of buns.

Their eyes met, and they shared a smile.

After paying, with a bun in each of their mouths, they set off again. Seungri followed closely behind Kwon Jiyong, who shopped around aimlessly. He wondered what Kwon Jiyong was planning. The situation was tense in all areas, yet here he was, whiling away time with Seungri, just window shopping, not even purchasing anything.

‘Jiyong hyung, what are we doing now,’ Seungri couldn’t help asking.

‘Hmmm,’ Kwon Jiyong gave it some thought, ‘Enjoy the days with food and drinks, have fun and travel around, sightsee.’

He leaned in close to Seungri’s face, ‘And now that you can keep me company, of course I need to be collecting what you owe me during our nights together.’

Seungri’s face reddened as he recalled what he had professed drunkenly last night, and felt the urge to find a hole to bury himself.

Kwon Jiyong found his reactions amusing and held his hand to lead him into another store.

Seungri got even more embarrassed to be holding hands, two men hand-in-hand in broad daylight, attracting the gazes of the other people in the shop.

On the other hand, Jiyong didn’t seem to think much about it, just focused on looking at the beautiful goods on display.

Initially, Seungri didn’t have much interest in the items but his eyes were suddenly drawn to a gold lotus flower hair piece. Jiyong noticed his gaze and picked up the hair piece, ‘For you.’

Seungri didn’t reach for it, just looked at Jiyong, ‘I just think it looks nice, this is for ladies.’

Jiyong held it up to Seungri’s head, ‘It'll look good on you too.’

Seungri grinned and picked up another one and stuck it into Jiyong’s hair, ‘It looks even better on you.’

‘Yeah it’s not bad,’ Jiyong checked himself out in the small bronze mirror, pleased. He then placed the pin that he was holding into Seungri’s hair, ‘One for each of us.’

After making payment, Jiyong watched as Seungri took the hair pin down, looking at it dazedly. Jiyong also took his off and placed it into his bag before walking over to hold Seungri’s hand, ‘Let’s go. That’s my token of love. If you lose it, I wouldn’t even want you anymore.’

It took some time for Seungri to react and he chuckled, ‘You know, you should name your cult ‘Gold Lotus Cult’. That way wouldn’t this pin have more significance?’

Jiyong pretended to ponder deeply, ‘sigh you have such ambition, yet this is not a bad idea.’

‘I was joking, idiot,’ Seungri laughed.

Jiyong looked around and quickly pulled Seungri into a quiet lane, making sure that they were alone before he pulled Seungri into his embrace, ‘let me hug you for a while.’

Seungri got a shock and thank heavens that there wasn’t anyone about. But slowly he put his arms around Jiyong and hugged him tightly, burying his face against Jiyong’s neck.

‘Hmm it’s so warm to hug you,’ Jiyong sighed, ‘why don’t you just let me hug you to sleep from now?’

Seungri snickered, ‘Then what about summer?’

‘When it gets hot, I will take you somewhere cool of course, and we can sleep .’

Seungri didn’t reply, but he tightened his arms around Jiyong.

Jiyong released Seungri and softly combed his bangs back, ‘Such a good looking boy.’

Looking into Jiyong’s eyes, Seungri suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to abandon everything and live the rest of his life together with Jiyong like this…

Lee Seunghyun, you are mad.

Seungri shook his head. ‘What’s wrong,’ Jiyong asked.

‘Nothing,’ he replied and followed Jiyong's lead.

‘If you say so, then let it be nothing.’

Seungri stopped. Jiyong looked at him and seemingly understood. He pulled Seungri into his arms again, ‘I will give you one last chance. Tell me anything now. If not, I will never ask you again. If you want to leave, and go, I will let you go.’

Seungri still kept quiet, and Jiyong just kept holding him as well, not speaking.

‘Jiyong hyung,’ Seungri finally spoke, after cooling his head, ‘I...don’t wanna leave, but this just feels like a dream. I’m afraid I will wake from it soon...and once I do, where do we go from there?’

Jiyong held Seungri’s face in his hands and stared straight into his eyes, ‘Isn’t there a saying, tomorrow will worry about itself? We’ll face it when it comes.’

Seungri nodded. Giving him a peck on the lips, Jiyong tugged his hand, ‘Come, let’s go have a look outside the town centre.’

At one point, Jiyong suddenly stopped and entered an antiques shop, gesturing for Seungri stayed outside. Seungri saw him write something on a piece of paper and handed it to the shop owner before exiting. Seungri thought it was weird, but couldn’t bring himself to ask what it was about, and just continued to follow Jiyong around.
