Flashback
"Gay! Gay! Gay! Gay!"
I shut my eyes and covered my ears,"I'm not gay. My unnie said I'm a girl!" I screamed.
"HAHAHA! He calls his noona 'unnie'! And he thinks he's a girl! You're gay!" All the boys from my class ganged up on me.
"I'm not gay!" I cried.

My older sister, Dami-unnie always wanted a little sister but sadly, she got me. So, she convinced me I was a girl. Being an ignorant toddler, I believed her.
Our favorite game was 'dress up'. I was always the princess and she was always the queen.
I genuinely thought I was a girl. My parents were so busy with work that they didn't really know that I was lead to believe that. I only knew I was actually a boy when we studied the human anatomy in 4th grade.
Back to the flashback
"You're crying again!" Lee Chaerin, a girl from my class approached me.
"Why are you talking to me?" I asked her. We're not friends. I never talked to her. She was sat on the green table while I was sat on the blue table. Everyone liked her for her cheerful personality. Teachers praised her and called her an angel. I admit I was so jealous of her.
"Am I not allowed?" She asked. "I just want to say, you shouldn't cry when they mock you. My appa said, tears are the sign of the weak."
I turned away,"My unnie said girls are okay to cry."
"You think you're a girl?"
"I AM A GIRL!" I defended.
"You're so funny! I like you!" Her eyes turned into little crescents.
"Chaerin!" An ahjussi called Chaerin who I assume was her appa.
"Your name is Jiyong, right? Come on. I'll introduce you to my appa!" she grabbed my hand.
I shook my head, "He's scary"
"No he's not!" She pulled me "Appa! I have a new friend. His name is Jiyong!"
"Chaerin. I told you I don't like you being friends with boys." He said sternly.
"But Mr. Lee I'm a girl!" I exclaimed. Why do they always say I'm a boy?
"Y-you think you're a girl?" He tried to hold his laughter.
"I am a girl! My unnie said I'm a girl!" I frowned.
He bursted into laughter , "I see...Chaerin... I think he's okay to be your friend...he's harmless." He said in between laughs.
"Really appa? Can I invite him over on Friday?"
"If his parents agree then, yes" he nodded.
"Jiyong! This is great! I'm your new bestfriend now!" she beamed.
"Chaerin, say bye to Jiyong. We're going home" he patted my head.
Chaerin kissed my cheek "Bye Jiyong! Ask your omma and appa about Friday okay?"
"O-okay...bye..." I meekly said.
Now I understand why the teachers called her an angel....

Since that day, we became the best of friends. We always hung out. I didn't know why she befriended me but I sure was glad she did. Dami-unnie didn't have time to play with me anymore because she was busy with her own friends so I was so glad I had Chaerin.
We watched films together. She had a lot of cartoons from America. We completed all the Disney movies. We played role play as well. What I loved about playing with her was that she didn't mind playing boy roles...
"Let's play Snow White!" she suggested.
"I will be Snow White!" I called.
"How about me...who will I be?" She pouted.
"You can be the evil stepmother!" I suggested.
"No. I don't want to be the evil step mother. I don't want to be the mean one!" she crossed her arms.
"Do you want to be a dwarf?"
"No! I'm not short." She stomped her feet.
"How about the prince?"
She beamed, "Okay! I'll be the prince!"

"Now we're on the part where you eat the apple then you die!" Chaerin told me.
I took a bite of the apple and landed on her bed with my eyes shut.
"Oh no! Snow white ate the poisoned apple! I have to save her!" Chaerin screamed.
She held my hand, "Oh beautiful princess. Don't worry! I will bring you back to life!"
I felt something wet on my lips. I opened my eyes and Chaerin was kissing me.
I pushed her away, "EEW! Chaerin! Why did you kiss me?!" I wiped my lips with my shirt.
She defended, "In the story the prince kisses Snow White! You should have been the prince so you were the one who kissed me if you didn't want me to kiss you!"
HUH? "I don't understand you. I want to play another game! Let's play fairy princess instead!" I suggested.

Now I'm grown up and of course, I already know I'm a guy. I still call my older sister Dami-unnie although my appa raises his brows at me when he hears it. Is it my fault that they were practically not there when I was growing up and didn't correct all my misinterpretations about my gender?
When I found out I was a guy, I cried. Not because I don't want to be a guy but because I know Chaerin's appa didn't want any guy friends for Chaerin. He was really an overprotective father.
So I came up with the idea: I pretended to be homoual.
Everyone including Chaerin and my family thought I actually was.
I was bullied but I didn't care. As long as I get to stay bestfriends with Chaerin I endured everything.
At first I thought the endurance was purely for friendship then I realized that it was actually for something more...
Foreword
Okay. I totally wasn't expecting myself to write another fic. But I thought I'd share this idea that has been playing around my head for quite a while now.
Not sure if I can update this on a daily basis. Well it might depend on the response I get. I might get motivated if a lot of people get interested.:)
