Lee Seungri mentally cursed himself for being such a perfectionist. He never thought he’d see the day he will resort to begging – most especially to his own close friend, Kwon Jiyong. But due to his burning desire to make his final year project flawless, he was left with no choice but to practically court his so-called friend just to agree to be part of it. After buying him a few cups of latte and the most expensive lunch in the cafeteria menu, he still received the response he didn’t want from him.

"No." Jiyong said in utter disinterest without even sparing him a glance.

Seungri’s shoulders dramatically slumped in annoyance upon realizing that the ratio of Jiyong’s attention between him and the game he was playing on his iPad was one to nine. He had only learned to embrace Jiyong’s nonchalance towards anything and everything to a certain extent and he already surpassed the limit minutes ago.

Seungri forcefully grabbed the intruding gadget away from Jiyong and held his shoulders, “You are going to be the lead man in my short film Kwon Jiyong-ssi and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it!"

"I said no! Get the out of my face and give me that back” Jiyong extended his arms in attempt to retrieve his iPad from Seungri’s side.

"You already agreed a few days ago! Why are you backing out now?! Why?” Seungri snapped, completely losing his cool.

Subsequently, Jiyong’s patience had also reached its end. He retorted in an equally pissed manner, “You promised me the lead girl is a supermodel!"

"Hyung that was drunk talk. You think I can afford to hire a supermodel? I'm just a student. Let's be realistic here."

"Your parents are rich! Ask money from them!"

Seungri breathed in and composed himself, "Look. My parents are rich because they're frugal. They won't lend me money for this."

"Here's an idea. Go rent out your giant stash and then maybe you can hire one!"

The girls in the cafeteria overheard Jiyong’s statement and started giving Seungri dirty looks. Seungri waved his hands, "Ladies. Ladies. I'm not that kind of person. I'm pure!" he dismissed. He then shot Jiyong a deathly glare, "What the , hyung? Now them girls will think I'm a ert."

"Well you are. You're also a lying cheat!” Jiyong furrowed his brows.

Seungri combed his fingers through his hair and sighed, "I can't believe you actually took that to heart and you actually thought it was true! You were only blonde last year. Your hair is back to black now” He then gave him an assuring look, “I swear, once you meet the girl I found, you will like her. You will forget I ever mentioned getting a supermodel."

"Is she an actress?" Jiyong cocked his eyebrow.

"No. I think an actress is even harder to get”

"Then what is she?"

“Well, for starters, she’s pretty”

“Can you elaborate further? What’s her name?”

"Lee Chaerin, my man. Lee Chaerin.”

Jiyong narrowed his eyes, “Who?”

“Okay. She’s just a music student. Not a supermodel, not an actress, not some daughter of a socialite but she’s totally a gem. She fits the role perfectly.  She’s a girl with a few words but she’s confident! Prim but has sass! An actress or a model would be great but I'm all about raw talents, you know? " Seungri said in a persuasive tone.

Jiyong sarcastically grinned, "Well it's great you found a lead girl. Now go find another lead man. I'm out."

"Why are you so picky? Does it really have to be a celebrity? Are you allergic to normal people? I swear your standards are way higher than it should be! I mean, hyung, I know you have a pretty face and you do modelling stints from time to time but, come on! You’re just a normal student like the rest of us! Get off your high horse for once, will you?"

Jiyong’s expression darkened, “I'm really out!"

"Okay look. I’m sorry! But seriously, I'm not asking for anything big. For the sake of our friendship and my grades please, I beg you. I want to prove to my parents that I chose the right path and that I could be successful in film making. I swear, if I fail this, they will ship me to the US and force me to do medicine. Not to mention I will also turn suicidal. You know how I hate being a failure. You will never see me again. Ever. I know you find me annoying most of the time but you love me, right? You know when you have problems; I was always willing to help you, right?"

Jiyong pursed his lips, “You know, with how dramatic you're talking, I think you should make a film of your life instead. You can stop now. Just give me my iPad back”

“...Is that a yes?”

“Yes it’s a yes”

Seungri’s face lit up in exuberance, “I could really kiss you right now, hyung! You’re my hero!”

“Chaerin, I’d like you to meet Kwon Jiyong. Jiyong-hyung, Lee Chaerin” Seungri introduced his two friends who were sat across each other on one of the tables of the university Starbucks.

"Nice to meet you” the two chorused in a monotonous tone.

“So, what time is the lead man coming?” Chaerin curved her lips slightly at Seungri.

“HE’S the lead man” Seungri pointed at Jiyong.

Chaerin narrowed her eyes, "You said Teddy Park! What is this?!”

Jiyong gaped at her, taking her violent reaction as a huge offense. “Excuse me. What do you mean by, ‘What is this?’?”

Seungri quickly intervened, “Chaerin, don't be rude. Don't you find Jiyong-hyung charming? Girls are coming up to me begging me for your role but I declined all of them for you"

"But I said yes because you said Teddy Park!"

“Teddy-hyung is busy and I think you suit Jiyong-hyung better!”

“On cam” Seungri added.

Chaerin stood up straightening her wrinkled jacket. “Well, it was really nice meeting you Jiyong-ssi. Good luck with your film, Seungri. Hope you find a replacement soon” she started to walk towards the door.

Seungri nonchalantly said, “Oh, I better text Teddy-hyung and say that the date with you is cancelled”

The moment Chaerin stopped on her tracks and turned back around, Seungri cracked a grin. He already smelled victory. Jiyong rolled his eyes already knowing where it was leading to.

“What date?” Chaerin asked.

“I felt really bad for giving you false hope about the lead guy and so I talked to Teddy-hyung about you being a fan of his. I told him he should meet you since you’re his number one fan and all and he agreed. But since you’re turning down my offer, I don’t see why I should still set you up to meet him” Seungri folded his arm and leaned back on his chair.

Chaerin sat back down and pulled a cheeky grin, “You know, I think Jiyong-ssi is not really that bad. I think I can do the role”
