Hundreds of dance schools. Fierce dance battle between two of Seoul’s best dance schools, YG Dance and SM Dance. An unknown person with intentions of hurting the best dancers in the country. Can the fiercest competitors you get be the fated one? Or will they remain competitors for life?  

Characters and all you need to know before reading JUST DANCE:

YG DANCE

• Everyone does ballet classes together on Saturdays and Sundays no matter which dance you major in.
• Has been one of the leading dance companies in Korea, winning championships each year.
• A very closely-knitted company, all of them being very close with each other and care for one another just like they would for their own siblings. 
• Artistic Director: Yang Hyun Suk, also known as YG. Started this company along with two of his best buddies, Jinu and Sean.
• Team of teachers: Gummy, Tablo, Se7en and more.
• Has always taught its students that winning isn’t everything, the most important thing is to enjoy yourselves.

Park Bom: 

20 years of age, studying ballet in YG dance full-time. Just finished high school with flying colours but decided to stop school to pursue dance. A bubbly person with a big personality. Don’t get on her bad side though, you wouldn’t want to have her bominator activated!

Sandara Park:

Also known as Dara or Ssantoki to her best friends. 20 years of age, studying modern jazz in YG dance full-time. A petite girl with big dreams. Same as Bom, both of them finished their high school, but decided to drop studies for dance. Always dreamed of finding the perfect soulmate, a girl with her head always in the clouds.

Lee Chaerin:

Better known as CL, she is one of the baddest females you can find around. Don’t mess with her, or she’ll knock you out with her crazy hip hop moves! Also in YG dance, but dancing part-time to complete her high school. 18 years of age, with a strong and powerful vibe around her that makes people shiver when they go near her.

Gong Minji:

Better known as Minzy, the youngest, only 16 years old, in YG dance. Don’t underestimate her though, she’s not called ero-maknae for a reason! Studies hip hop with Chaerin as a part-timer, struggling to cope with her busy school life and dance life. Stressed? Maybe a little.

SM DANCE

• A company that has been built to try to defeat YG dance company
• Has always taught the students that winning is the most important thing in dance, and push the students to their limits
• Dancers suffer a lot of injuries in tho company, due to the constant push of the company.
• Many dancers quit due to the constant push to be the best and the injuries that they suffer because of this push

Choi Seunghyun:

21 years of age, studying ballet in SM dance. Goal? Be the best in whichever company he joins. Finished his high school 2 years ago with that borderline pass. Handsome, charismatic is what people know him as when he goes on stage. Better known by his stage name: T.O.P

Kwon Jiyong:

20 years of age, studying contemporary in SM dance. Also known as the leading dancer in SM, G-Dragon or GD. Doesn’t believe in the way of teaching SM has and has always wanted to be in YG. However he decided to stick with his friend Youngbae to come to SM to train.

Dong Youngbae:

20 years of age, better known by his stage name Taeyang or SOL. His dancing? Just fabulous. Girls drop dead at his famous eye smile on stage and his awesome and unique  movements cause other boys to get jealous. Studying Hip Hop in SM dance, he’s one of the best dancers a company can ever have.

Kang Daesung:

19 years old, finishing his last year in high school. Just joined the Jazz course in SM, doesn’t really know what goes on around him. On stage, he’s known as the smiling angel because of his bright smile that hides his eyes. Cute would be the word to describe him.

Lee Seunghyun:

18 years old, in the same high school as Chaerin. Both of them are like sworn enemies in everything - Studies and even in dance as they will realise sooner or later. Don’t get him confused with the big Seunghyun though, he’s better known as Seungri to his friends and family, and his stage name: V.I, or Victory. Studies in the jazz course, although  he would really like to become a hip hop dancer.
