The next day, I'm on my way to save Jungminnie,
The day is so bright and sunny,
Aish, but I am so hungry,
Then somebody runs into me,
Her face covered in mud and she looks grungy,
And her hair is pretty funny.

"Hey, are you okay?" I hold her wrist so she won't fall,
"Ah, yes, I'm fine." She answers with a voice so small,
She pulls her hand, and keeps covering her face with a shawl,
Well, it's not like she looks like a doll.

Suddenly my stomach starts to growl.
Aish, why is it being so foul?
I begin to quietly let out a scowl,
Oh, how I wish I could feast on a fowl.

She fishes into her backpack and takes out a bright yellow apple,
The skin so smooth and shiny, the kind that would cause ahjummas to grapple,
Like a high grade leather shoe woven with fine threads I'm used to handle,
The golden apple looks like it would fit in a castle.

"Where did you get something so fine as this?
Did you steal it from somewhere, Miss?"
She look down in guilt, so I just dismiss,
"Well, don't worry, I do that too sometimes." I give the apple a kiss.

I bid her farewell to continue my journey,
"Can I please follow you Sire? I've no place to go," She stops me in a hurry,
To this shoeshiner, no one has ever been so polite, 
I suppose a companion will make my day bright.

However i notice something strange about this lady,
She keeps her head down even in place that's shady,
Maybe she's shy for her face is muddy,
But people might think I'm walking with someone crazy.

"So, what's your name?" I try to make small talk,
"Uhh...Jung...uh, Heejung," She stutters, as if in shock,
"So, where are you from?" I ask, skipping over a rock,
But this time, she gives no answer, and continues to walk.

As we get near to the border,
We stop to rest by the river,
"Go and clean your face," I order,
She nods, but I notice her shiver.

The river must contain magic water,
She reappears, with face that could be of minister's daughter,
Yet, she still act so nervous, like running from a stalker,
Some people point at her and begin to whisper to each other,
"Let's just continue your journey", she softly whisper,
Hmm, she's right. I can't wait to get to my sister.
