Chanyeol is my giant.

He smiles at me in the most adorable way possible and never fails to light up my life. He never forgets to remind me about the love we share. He even showed up half to my piano recital once since he overslept. He brings me chocolate cake when he knows I am mad at him due to his overbearing kindness to strangers. He loves me.

And I love him. But god took him away from me. At the epitome of my life, Park Chanyeol was removed from my life like nothing. Chanyeol died in my arms, just as he wanted.

It was only after I visited his grave three years later when I realized, Chanyeol isn’t really dead. Just because someone is dead, doesn’t mean their memory or love is dead as well.

If anything, their love is stronger than ever because even though they can’t express it themselves anymore, they give us signs in hopes that we never forget the love. The winds that mess up my hair,  beautiful vivid dreams, and warmth I feel are just signs from a silly giant in heaven.

So now I know, Chanyeol is still alive.

My giant survived.
