A story of two people - both in love - both unaware of the others affections.

Baek Jang Mi - A beautiful 17 year old girl who has been friends with Jonghyun since childhood. She is a very happy person but is shy and secretive when it comes to love as she doesn't have much expericance when it comes to dating. She has been in love with Jonghyun since she was 12 years old when he saved her from bullies after school. She doesn't yet know that Jonghyun is being sent to study overseas.

Kim Jonghyun - A 19 year old boy who is a childhood friend of Jang Mi. He has dated a lot in school but has always been very affectionate towards Jang Mi - he thinks he loves her but he doesn't want to admit it because he knows that he's being sent to study abroad. He shows his love by calling himself her 'protector' as he saved her from bullies when they were younger.
