Description
Jung Daehyun doesn’t feel a thing. Not shame, not guilt, nor happiness or sadness. He isn’t guilty for stripping life from the living, nor remorse for the dead. He didn’t enjoy anything. He just followed orders, taking no pleasure from the death of others.
Of course, this was before some snarky, smartass, dork, came along. Before long, all the emotions that Daehyun had thought disappeared began to formulate like a disease inside his head.

Foreword
“Is it taken care of?” Came the deep voice’s reply over the phone. Daehyun raised an eyebrow, his eyes scanning over to the unconscious body that had incidentally ‘ran’ out in front of a hit and run.
“I don’t think I get paid enough for this,” Daehyun stated, taking a slight drag from a cigarette before he set it on the ground to stomp out. The sound of sirens, blazing in the distance coaxed him to his car.
“I pay you more than any of the others,” scoffed the voice.
“He dented my car.” Daehyun replied, and he could hear the chuckle on the other end.
“I paid for it. It’s my car.”
“You’re not being a team player,” Daehyun replied, without humor as he glanced at the rear view mirror, taking a last look at the almost dead body on the ground.
“I don’t have to be a team player. I’m the leader. You are just one in the team that I lead.”
Daehyun didn’t care for the tone, but made no motion to retort out of pure and utter indifference. He didn’t bother asking what the guy did, as he considered doing once and a while in the past. He never asked their names, their family, and their situation. He didn’t want to know his mission. Remorse was what ended good men.
“I’m hanging up,” Daehyun stated simply, glancing again at the rear view mirror, his reflection just barely visible in the corner. He sighed as he saw a smidge of blood on his collar.
“What?” Yongguk asked, and Daehyun frowned. “Got blood on you again? Yah. Do you know how much those suits cost?”
“You can talk prices when you buy me a new one,” Daehyun replied, hanging up and tossing the bluetooth off his ear as he stared out the empty road. He didn’t know how long he looked out at it, but time eventually lost meaning in the long endless road.
He could smell the blood, lingering on his shirt and it almost made him feel morbid.
