Himchan

Getting Hwa young to introduce herself to the guys was one thing, it was another trying to accept the others guys. She wasn’t a fan but he was still unsure of what they thought about her. It was like the scenario of bringing the girlfriend home to meet the family and see if they approved. Except it was more of a family of guys that he was even more afraid of, he wasn’t her girlfriend but it did just a little bit feel like it.

“What does she look like hyung.” Asked an eagerly Zelo that was smiling everywhere after Himchan had announced that he was going to introduce Hwa young.

“Is she blonde? Tall? What about her eyes?” Himchan grew slightly annoyed as everyone pestered with him the questions, especially Zelo. Well it was something he was bound to talk to them soon.

He promised to introduce them all when she got to Seoul and now here she was, living and breathing Hwa young. It all felt too much of a dream.

“I hope you don’t mind getting bombarded with many questions because the guys have been eagerly waiting to see, especially Zelo.” he chuckled at the maknae’s expressions and mounds of questions.

He opened the door and heard the chatter and laughter of all the members but it quickly hushed as they turned to look at Himchan and Hwa young at the entrance of the door.

They all walked up towards her and Himchan for a second was afraid that she was going to get scared but they quickly exploded into an exuberant chatter.

“Wow, noona is actually tall.”

“She’s so pretty, does she have a boyfriend?”

“Can you speak fluent English noona?”

“Okay guys settle!” Himchan warned the guys as they quickly clamped their mouths shut.

“Now, if you can stop overlapping each other then she can actually ask her questions.” Himchan sighed and Hwa young started to giggle.

“You guys certainly are what I imagined if I met you and here you are! Well, I hope I can get an introduction from each one.” She smiled and Himchan shook his head all the while with a cheeky smile on his face.

Each member introduced themselves, “Hello, my name is Jung Daehyun, I hope you stay around noona.” He bowed and looked at her with a warm smile. He was only a few inches taller than her, his silver hair swept over his face. He wore a sweater and sweatpants with nike sneakers.

“Hello, my name is Yoo Youngjae, nice to meet you noona.” The boy next to him bowed, he had a goofy expression on his face but seemed sincere, his brown hair and baby face reminded her of Lilly, somewhat. He had a white t-shirt and jeans paired with black converse sneakers.

The next member had an adorable eye smile and instantly reminded her of a puppy, with his brown hair in a little mess he bowed politely. “Hello, my name is Jongup, I hope noona enjoys her stay here.” She just wanted to hug him, he wore a blue faded t-shirt with brown pants and brown shoes.

The last member was tall. Very tall. In fact Hwa young didn’t want to guess his height as she had to crane her neck up to look at his face. His baby face and tall height made her confused at how this member was actually a teenage boy.

“Hello, I’m the maknae Zelo, its a pleasure meeting you noona.” He bowed and smiled at Hwa young.

“You guys are all very sweet thank you for the warm welcomes, I really didn’t expect this.” She was overwhelmed with the hospitality they displayed towards her.

She gestured her hand towards the tray of drinks that Himchan was holding, “I didn’t to bring too much but I thought you guys might be thirsty so I bought some to quench your thirst.”

The members awed and looked at the drinks that were labeled with their names, they chorused a “Thank you noona” And drank their drinks happily. Hwa young chuckled despite them being what fans call them “y Idols” they’re like happy kids following their mom and dad - Himchan and Yongguk.

She then realized that Yongguk wasn’t present in the room, and asked Himchan where he was.

“I’m pretty sure he’s in the recording studio, he’s been there the whole day. Typically for him but I’m sure he’ll be glad to see you.” Himchan went outside to show Hwa young where the recording studio was and waved a good luck.

After she went out to go look for Yongguk, the rest of the members gave him a look of curiosity.

“Hyung, there isn’t anything going on with you and noona, is there?”  Zelo asked with a hint of jealousy in his voice.

Himchan laughed and ruffled his hair, “Of course not, we’re friends Zelo. Just friends.”

But deep down he wished they weren’t.

Hwa young took a deep breath and walked down the corridor closer and closer towards the room. It felt like in forever she talked to him, despite Himchan the constant caller  Yongguk would sometimes call her as well and they’d have small conversations.

She paused and stood in front of the door to the recording studio, she took a deep breath “Come on Hwa young, man up.” She knocked on the door. No response.

She opened the door since it seemed unlocked and peeked in and saw Yongguk sitting in front of the board, he had headphones on and seemed to be working on a new song.

Hwa young walked silently and poked him on the shoulder, he turned around and broke out into a smile.

“Hey Hwa young.” He stood up and gave her a hug, he felt warm and she felt a little tingle in her heart, a sensation she never had felt before. I must be crazy she thought.

They let go and Yongguk took a look at her, “You still look the same, as always.”

“Is that always a bad thing Yongguk?” She said with amusement in her voice and he chuckled covering his hand with his mouth.

“No no, not like that, I mean I’m glad that you didn’t do anything drastic. Like do plastic surgery or get in a car accident, something like that.” He grinned sheepishly.

Hwa young smiled in agreement and noticed that Yongguk has changed, in a good way. After they left that day to go back to South Korea he was the one that called her first surprisingly.

The ringing of the phone made Hwa young jump a little as she searched for it in her bag. “It must be Himchan already missing me.” A little smile crept on her face as she looked to see the ID caller and was surprised. It was Yongguk. She pressed the button and talked,

“Hello?” She paused thinking that it was by accident that Yongguk or someone else called.

“H-hey Hwa young, I just wanted to know if you were alright.” A nervous Yongguk spoke and Hwa young had a smile on her face.

“I’m fine, thank you Yongguk. How are you? I’m sure Himchan is whining about me.” She chuckled as she imagined a complaining Himchan running around the place.

“No, he’s actually taking it well, um...I just want to say thank you for the music player that you gave me, I didn’t have the chance.” Hwa young was taken aback by the sudden words that he spoke.

“O-oh, well I’m glad that you liked it, I thought since its what most people called “Out of date” I find it charming and it still works.” She settled in a relief as she sat down on the couch.

“Yeah its definitely handy, I love it actually old style things I think have something charming in them.” Hwa young nodded.

“How about you though? Aren’t you moving soon?” She paused and sighed looking around the house, soon it’ll be her mother alone in the big house with Lilly occasionally checking up on her.

“Yeah, I’m preparing everything and once I have my passport and documents verified I can move there in the next two months.” Hwa young bit her lip and before she could say anything Yongguk spoke,

“It sounds like you’re more stressed than happy.” She was surprised and he continued on “I mean if you don’t want to talk about it since its a personal thing and al-

“No, I mean I don’t mind it. I just feel like I’ll burden people with my own personal problems.” She paused and continued on knowing that Yongguk is waiting for her to talk, “Sometimes I find myself thinking if I could possibly do this, run a company and make all those decisions that the CEOs do…and I…” Hwa young stopped and pursed her lips, she never really had someone listening to her problems other than Himchan and Lilly.

“But then I think of my father and I think that he’ll be proud and encourage me to try, for his sake.” She let out a deep sigh, it's been a while letting out her feelings like this, she’d normally close her heart around others.

“I think I can understand, you find that other people will have high standards especially since you’re his only daughter and child. It puts pressure on you tremendously, but I think if you stick true to yourself and find faith in yourself to make the good decisions then I think you’re father would be proud.”

Hwa young listened intently and was surprised but remembered how the fans would think of Yongguk as respected and strong role model. His thoughtful words reflected in his songs and performances each and every time.

“You know, you’re a really good at giving advice, no wonder the fans praise you for being a thoughtful and deep leader.” She giggled slightly hearing Yongguk laugh on the other side of the phone.

“I guess I do, well its a sincere advice, I really did admire your father. He though was a kind and compassionate man. I never really revealed what I truly felt about him, and I wish I’d have spent more time with him.”

Hwa young taken aback by surprise at his words she recomposed herself and thought of something else to say.

“Thank you, I think you should call often I would miss you just as much as Himchan.”

“I’d like that, Hwa young.”

She couldn’t help but smile at the many conversations she had following the first with Yongguk.

And there were many and she cherished them all, there was always a nagging feeling at the bottom of her heart but she ignored it. But it only grew more and more, she wasn’t sure what this was.

“Want to go get some coffee?” She snapped back to reality as Yongguk gave her a quizzical look if she was alright.

“Oh well actually,” She extended a drink to Yongguk, “I bought this on my way to see you.” Yongguk took it and smiled at her.

What’s this feeling? Hwa young felt as her heart pounded.

“You didn’t have to Hwa young, but thank you.” He smiled as he drank it. He uttered the sound of enjoyment.

“I should invite you over for dinner, we’re all going out, come with us.” Yongguk said as Hwa young nodded slightly.

“Oh, I don’t know I feel like I may be intruding.” Yongguk shook his head “Nonsense, the guys wouldn’t mind.” He went back to the board and turned off everything and opened the door. “After you madam.” He put on a gentleman gesture and Hwa young couldn’t help but smile.  

“Alright then Mr Bang Yongguk.” And she went through the door first and a thought came into her mind.

You’ve changed a lot Yongguk. Was it only a few words that made you open your heart towards me?

[A/N] A little christmas update for you guys ~ I really did enjoy doing this chapter since Hwa young and Yongguk have their special moment while Himchan backs out. Let’s hope that this story goes for and Merry Christmas <3 If you don’t celebrate then I wish you a happy holiday and enjoy this year before 2015 comes! :)
