Ella's POV

That next day at work, Yongguks very distant.

"It's because I spat on him, I know it" I whisper to myself as I cut a flowers stem off on accident. 

I shove it in a pile of flowers to cover up my mistake. 

I turn to see Yongguk flirting with this really busty girl, she bought one bouquet of flowers but she was still here. 

I watched as Yongguk laughed, oh what could possibly be that funny? 

I look down at my own chest and see mine were nothing compared to hers. 

"Ella, could you go get some more ribbon at the crafts store with Yongguk, there's about five boxes and I know he'll need help" his mother tells me. 

"Sure" I agree as she hands the keys to Yongguk and tells him I'm going with him.

He says goodbye to his busty friend and we leave the shop through the back. 

The car ride was awkward, I mean it's not like I spat on him on purpose, why wasn't he talking to me?

"Hey, are you mad at me?" I finally ask him

"You could say that" he says in this really hostile tone

"Why?"

He refrains from answering me as we arrive at the craft store. 

As we're loading the ribbons into the car, I drop a box on my foot, and they were heavy. 

"Damn that hurt" I pick the box up and the bottom comes open and the wrapped in plastic ribbons fall to the ground.

"Literally Ella can you do anything right?!" he yells at me. 

I pause.

"Then do it yourself !" I throw a pack of ribbons at him and storm off. 

I end up sitting at a gas station waiting for Himchan to come pick me up 

I was sure I was fired from the job for calling Yongguk an . 

I put my head down on the small table, I see Yongguk coming towards me minutes later

He sits next to me but I just turn so I wasn't facing him 

"I'm sorry" he tells me but I keep ignoring him, "the reason why I was mad at you was because..." 

I listen closer to hear the rest of his sentence 

"Because I saw you on top of Himchan when I left, are you two dating or what?!" 

"I already told you we're just friends" I finally turn to face him 

"Well you two are very close and it makes me uncomfortable" he says the second Himchan pulls up 

"It shouldn't considering the fact that you're not my boyfriend" on that note I get up and walk towards Himchan 

"What happened between the love birds? A little squabble?" Himchan asks me 

"We're not love birds. We're not even in a relationship" 

"Looks like I struck a nerve, staying quiet the rest of the ride" he zips his lips as I calm down 

When we get to our apartment I tell him what Yongguk said about us 

"I mean how many times do I have to tell him we're friends until he actually believes me" I jam my fork into a piece of cake 

"I can see where he's coming from though" he takes a bite from my cake 

He looks over at the clock and tells me he had to go 

"Why? Do you have other plans other than hearing about my problems" 

"Actually I do. I have a date" he smirks 

"You do? Who's the lucky lady?" 

"The new girl who moved in a floor below us" 

"I think I saw her. She's pretty" 

"I know and she asked me on the date, talk about confidence" 

"Well you two crazy kids have fun while I finish this cake" I take it out of my refrigerator

I turn the TV on as he leaves my apartment. 

I was halfway through the cake and watching a game show when I hear the doorbell ring 

When I go to answer it I drop some cake on me, and it leaves a big stain on my shirt. I what I could off and continue on to the door. 

When I open the door I see colorful flower petals leading a trail 

I slip my slippers on and follow it. It leads me all the way out of the apartment.  

At the end of the trail is Pancake with a flower in his mouth. He turns and looks back at me, signaling to follow him 

I follow him until we stop in front of the flower shop. I walk in and its dark 

"Hello?" I say a little spooked 

I jump as the lights suddenly turn on 

Then I see this poster board and the only thing I can see about the person holding it is their legs. 

The person flips the sign and it reads "Will you be my girlfriend?" 

He lowers the sign but it wasn't Yongguk. 

"Not my girlfriend, his" he points and Yongguk walks out with the biggest bouquet of flowers I'd ever seen 

I smile, even though he made me mad earlier I thought this was all incredibly sweet.  

"I will under one condition" 

"What?" 

"You believe me when I say Himchan and I are only friends" 

"Okay I believe you" he leans in to kiss me but I jerk back 

"Are you sure you want to be my boyfriend? You were right I can never do anything right" 

"I didn't mean that I was just angry" he leans in again but I jerk back again 

"Remember what you're signing yourself up for. It's a handful" 

"Remember I'm always one step ahead" he leans in one last time 

"Yeah but-" before I could jerk back he holds my face and kisses me. 

It felt nice and I could have sworn I was floating

When we break the kiss we both awkwardly laugh and Yongguk rubs his neck 

"Wooooo" we hear the guy cheer and he starts clapping and Pancake starts barking. 

"Oh Ella this is my roommate Daehyun" he introduces me 

"Nice meeting you" I hold my hand out to shake his 

"Not as nice as meeting you" he takes my hand and kisses it

I pull it away and wipe it on my shirt.  

We walk back to my apartment as Daehyun takes Pancake home. 

Since we we're official we were holding hands as we walked. 

Once we get to my apartment, Yongguk and I stare at one another for a minute

"I'll be back in the morning to walk you to work" 

"Okay" 

He kisses me on the cheek and walks off. 

I go in my apartment and lean against the door with the hugest smile on my face.  

"I'm his girlfriend" I say to myself and get this big, goofy smile on my face
