After what happened that day, Kris never left her alone and if he has something to do, he made sure one of his friends will stay by her side to watch her or guard her from anything suspicious. It was a day that Yoora needs to buy something at the capital when Yeon asked her if she wants to come with her but Yoora refused because she thinks it’s better if she was with the twelve guardians to make her safe.

“What are you doing there alone?” Suho said when he saw Yeon outside alone looking at the dark sky.

“I just want to look at the sky but its dark. It’s because of the Black Pearl right?” She asked and Suho sat beside her and nod.

“Yeah, since she took over the castle and destroy some parts of the capital the sky didn’t seem bright. She’s so powerful and because of that, I’m afraid she will finally destroy everything here in our land and reign forever.” He said and she can feel his sadness in his eyes and to the tone of his voice.

“I still believe there’s still hope for everybody. We can fight against her and get back the castle. I know we can do it let’s help each other to win over her.” She reassured but Suho didn’t know if he needs to tell her the truth about the black pearl.

“Is something bothering you?” She worriedly asked him but he shook his head.

“Nothing. Come on let’s get inside. Kris might be looking for you now like a mad man.” He said and grabbed her hand. Suho felt good holding her hand but his heart also hurts thinking that she already belong to someone. He like her since he met her and he thought she can be his but unfortunately, she was already destined to someone but he didn’t stop liking her. When he finally knew who her mate is, his heart sank but a part of him also happy that it was his friend, Kris. He gave up his love for her and continue to be just her friend but he can’t stop himself from thinking about her and he decided to continue loving her until he finally found his own mate and future while Yeon on the other hand, she thought Suho and her will be together but whenever she saw Kris, some strange feeling always building up on her. She feels like she badly needed him until she discovered about them, Kris as her mate and everything about vampire and black pearl when she’s inside that black hole.

“Where are the others?” She asked while walking side by side with him.

“I think they are planning how to make a move to attack the castle by the end of this week.” He said as they walked when they heard shouting coming inside the meeting room.

“How can you say that huh? I already told you, I can let anyone hurt her!!!” It was Kris who said that and based on what he is saying; he must be pertaining to her.

“Wake up Kris!!! We know that it’s the only way to succeed. We also didn’t want to do that but we don’t have any choice!!!! We have to sacrifice one’s life for the betterment of the majority!!! We have to kill her!!!” It was Lay who’s also shouting. She was sure that they are fighting because of her.

“I will never kill her and that’s my decision!!! If anyone of you tried to do something bad to her, I swear I will kill you with my own bare hands!!!” Kris said and walked out from them and shocked when he opens the door to find Yeon staring at the floor with Suho holding her hand tightly.

“Yeon…” he said and everyone inside the room shook their heads while Yoora was sobbing also didn’t agree on what the others are suggesting and Siwon who’s just sitting there not uttering a word. Suho let go of her hand and walk inside the room where the others are.

“Yeon!!!” Kris shouted when she suddenly ran away crying luckily he was much faster than her and stopped her by hugging her from behind.

“Let me go!!! Let me gooo!!!!” She hysterically screaming her lungs out while Kris tightly hugging her small frame not letting her go because he was afraid she will do something bad to herself.

“I will never let you go! Stay with me. I will protect you no matter what. Please, listen to me Yeon. Yeon!” He said trying to calm her down while the others are watching the heartbreaking scene in front of them.

“Don’t ever do that again. You’re making the situation much worse than before.” Xiumin said to Lay while the latter felt guilty on what he said. He was sure he doesn’t have to say it but it was just his suggestion and he knows that it will work but now after seeing her in pain, he wasn’t sure anymore if he can still pursue that.

“Shhh…I will never let anyone kill you, I promise.” Kris said and Yeon finally calm herself down. She looks up at Kris who’s also looking down at her. Kris carried her to their room and gently placed her on the bed to rest.

“Get some rest. I will be here until you wake up.” Kris kissed her forehead and tucks her in under the blanket.

“I love you.” She said before she closed her eyes and drifted to dreamland while Kris can’t stop smiling because of what she said that he’s been longing for her to say.

“I love you too; Yeon and I will protect you.” He said. He pulled a chair and sit there to watch her sleeping until he also fall asleep. Meanwhile on the other room, Suho and the others are sitting quietly.

“Why did you suggest it? You know that Kris will never agree on it and I’m sure Siwon and Yoora will also not going to agree with it.” Suho said eyeing Lay but the latter didn’t answer back.

“Actually, Lay gege has a point. All these problems will be solve if we really do it but also think about Kris gege. I don’t want to put him in pain now that he completely changed from being so cold. He’s now starting to open his heart to everyone including me.” Tao said and Suho nodded his head. They talked for almost two hours but didn’t make a great plan about the black pearl that made them really frustrating.

“Okay, that’s it for now. Let’s rest a bit and talk with everyone tonight.” Xiumin said as stood up from his seat followed by the others leaving Lay alone inside the room. He stayed there for a few minutes before he also leaves the room and as he walks to his own room, he saw a shadow of a girl walking to the main door. He carefully followed it and saw that it was Yeon. His eyes got wide but turn back to its normal size when he remembers something. He watched her went outside and he just let her go.

“I know this is wrong but I don’t have a choice.” He said into his mind and decided to go back letting the girl go. On the other hand, Kris was still sleeping when he felt a little uncomfortable. He opens his eyes a little but when he finally notices that Yeon wasn’t there, he jolted up from his seat and look around.

“Yeon?” he called her name a few times but no one answered. He felt nervous that’s why he hurriedly went out of their room and look on the entire headquarters but didn’t find her. His friends come out from their rooms when they heard him shouting for her name.

“What happened?” Master Li asked as he walks up to Kris.

“She’s missing appa. I can’t find her.” Kris answered in panic pacing back and forth.

“What do you mean she’s missing? You two are together right?” Siwon irritably asked him while Yoora was clutching to her brother’s arm feeling afraid of what will happen to Yeon.

“I fell asleep and when I woke up, she wasn’t there anymore. I need to find her.” Kris frustratingly said clutching his head in anger. He can’t take it if something happens to her and in this kind of situation, its really dangerous for her to be alone.

“Don’t tell me she ran away from here?” Luhan said while Lay uncomfortably standing in the corner the others arguing how to find her. He can’t say that he saw her earlier or else he’s done but Siwon noticed him and he knows that he knows something but decided to stay quiet for the mean time because he doesn’t want to any trouble.

“I will look outside” Kris said as he ran towards the main door followed by Tao, Chen, Kyungsoo, Suho and Luhan while others decided to look for her on the other side of the capital.

“Lay, come to me.” Siwon said as the others went out to look for her. Yoora and Sehun eyed them looking confusedly on what’s going on. Siwon and Lay was inside the meeting room now with Master Li, Yoora and Sehun who decided to stay to keep the others safely.

“Where is she?” he asked and Lay’s eyes got wide.

“W-What? I don’t know!!!” Lay denied but Siwon smirked at him.

“I know that you know so you better tell us now before it’s too late. Do you want your friends to be mad at you?” he said as he turned to look at Sehun who’s glaring at the older member.

“I saw her earlier went out but I don’t know where she go. I let her go away thinking that it was the best for EXO. I know I’m wrong when I didn’t stop her but I also have a reason why I did it. I’m sorry.” Lay confessed and Sehun immediately went to him

“Sehun stop it!!!” Master Li firmly said when his fist was about to land on his face. Lay closed his eyes because he felt guilty.

“I will help them to look for her.” He said as he stands up but Siwon stopped him.

“No, stay here. If some of them get injured you’re the only one that can heal them. I will look for her instead of you but you have to protect them while I’m gone or else I will be the one who will kill you understand?” Siwon said while looking at Lay and the latter nodded his head. On the other hand, Yeon was walking along on one of the streets at the capital when a little girl approaches her.

“Please help me, my family is hungry but we don’t have any coins to buy food.” She said and Yeon felt hurt seeing a little girl starve so she looks for a coin inside her pocket to give to the little girl.

“Come with me. I will buy your family food.” She announced and the little girl happily jumped on her to hug her. She smiled and took the little girl’s hand. She buys them a lot of blood bread and brings the little girl home. Her family was so happy that finally they can eat food again since it’s really hard to find blood because they are afraid of the black pearl. On her way to the main street of the capital, she saw a lot of people are suffering because of her that’s why she finally made up her mind. She will do anything just to give back the freedom and peace in EXO even if it means she will have to sacrifice herself. She was about to turn around when someone bit her neck and drink her blood until she fell unconscious.

Tadah!!!! I hope you like this chapter so as I said from my previous update, this story is going to end in Chapter 15 so it only has 2 chapters more.
