“Come In!” Kris shouted while fixing his clothes in front of the mirror, making sure that he really looks good.

“Gege…Master Li want to talk to us” Tao heavily pants with his hands on his knees. Kris turned to him with a frown on his face.

“About what?” he knitted his thick brows as he walks to his king size bed to grabbed his coat.

“I don’t know. He just said this is important but I think this is all about the black pearl.” Tao straighten up his body, watching Kris checking himself in front of the mirror again.

“You go first” Kris said while Tao rolled his eyes and left the room.

“Why does he always check himself in front of a mirror from time to time? Geez” Tao glared at the door of Kris room. He deeply sighed and directly went to the hall where Master Li is. He opens the door and saw that their master is already there along with the others sitting properly on their corresponding chairs.

“Where’s Kris?” Master Li asked and before Tao could answer, the person they are waiting to arrive comes inside the huge room. The old man look at Kris directly walks to his seat without giving respect to him as their master.

“Tao take your seat” Tao awkwardly bowed and sit down beside Kris. Master Li scanned them one by one from Suho to Kyungsoo before he starts to speak.

“We’ve been looking for this specific girl who’s destined to be the protector of the black pearl for 17 years now but we still haven’t found her so the King and I decided to send you all to Earth to find the girl.” The old man announced and all of them jaw dropped while taking glances to each other except for Kris who stay calm.

“How did you know that she’s there?” Kris tested.

“This is just my assumption because Earth is the nearest planet from here and if she’s not here in our planet she might be there.” Their master said eyeing his rebellious student.

“Does this mean that she is also a vampire like us?” Suho curiously asked but the old man shook his head.

“The black pearl didn’t choose who will be its guardian, human, vampire or some other creatures can be the protector but I have a strong feeling that she’s in planet Earth. I dreamed of her the other night, she was wearing a skirt and coat with a bag on her back but I can’t see her face and only humans have that kind of clothes.” Master Li explained and everyone nodded their heads.

“How did you know about humans Master? How can we go there?” Kyungsoo asked with his signature wide eyes.

“Yes and when will we go there? How long do we have to stay there?” Luhan added.

“I’ve been there many years ago for a mission. There’s a portal that can bring you all to Earth that the king and I only know and about how long all of you will stay there, it defends on the progress of your mission that will start tonight.” The old man said and all of them are shocked at his sudden decision to send them to Earth tonight.

“But, we’re not prepared Master!” Tao whined that earned a glare from Kris. He immediately stops whining and sit there quietly.

“Master I have a question, how can we know that she’s the protector or not?” Xiumin asked and their master gave him a smile.

“Nice question Xiumin. You can distinguish her from all the humans by holding her hand or vice versa. You will see her past life. Who she is and how she is connected to the black pearl.” He answered and all of them made an ‘oh’ sound and smile excitedly thinking about skinship.

“If don’t have any question, I’ll go ahead and by the way, you don’t have to pack your stuff because a house is waiting for all of you there and someone will teach you all about humans. I’ll see you later.” With that Master Li leave them inside the room but there is something Kris is thinking about, what kind of mission Master Li had in the past that he had to go there? It keeps ringing inside his head but interrupted by Chen.

“Kris, aren’t you excited? I will definitely love this mission. I can’t wait to meet her in person. I wonder how she looks like.” Chen giggles beside him while imagining how beautiful she is.

“Does she look like her?” Tao pointed at the portrait of their Goddess Nyx that’s hanging on the wall. Kris turned his head to the portrait and stared at it for a minute before he stood up from his seat.

“Hey, where are you going?” Suho asked before he finally walks out of the room.

“In my room.” Kris said and finally left them.

“Tch…such a cold guy” Chen said while Suho watched the door closed. Suho looked back at the other members whose excitedly talking about their mission, how Earth looks like, is there a lot of beautiful girls, do they have a nice body and such. He just shook his head how byuntae s are especially Kai, Chanyeol and Baekhyun.

Meanwhile, Kris slamming the door behind him and threw his body on his bed, staring at the ceiling thinking how their mission will turn out. Will they be able to find the girl on time? Because as he remember, his mother told him that they have to kill the protector before she turn 18 years old because once she reach 18, she will power that no one can beat which can destroy their planet and kill all vampires whose living there. His mother also told him to find his mate that can be with him forever just like his other members, he still didn’t find yet his mate but for him, it’s not important anymore. After his mother died because of finding the protector, he also stopped looking for his mate and so as the others. s told him that if he don’t want to find his mate, they will also don’t want to theirs. Their bond is strong like they are real brothers in blood even if they’re not.

It’s now the time for their departure to go to Earth, all of them are in line waiting for of course, Kris who’s always late. Master Li is also there with his right hand Junho on his side and after almost an hour, Kris finally arrived.

“Kris, next time be on time you’re a leader but you act like this. You’re not a good role model to your members. A good leader must also be a good follower.” Master Li sternly said to him while the others just watch their master and Kris.

“Can we proceed now? My hand really itched to kill her.”

“But, before all of you go I want you to have this…” Junho bring out a box that contains rings, earrings and necklace. All of them curiously look at them as Junho give them one each. Kris, Xiumin, Suho and Tao have the earrings while Luhan, Lay, Kyungsoo and Chanyeol have the rings and lastly, Sehun, Kai, Baekhyun and Chen have the necklace. It has their symbol engraved on it which corresponds to their powers.

“Those accessories can protect you from sunlight so you can wander around the place.” Master Li said and their eyes got wide in surprise and excitement.

“Wow, this is awesome Master!!!” Chanyeol happily exclaimed.

“Are you ready?” The old man asked and all of them nodded. Master Li waved his hand and a black hole appeared in front of them and one by one they inside the portal.

“Wait!” Master Li stopped Kris before he step his foot inside. Kris turned back his head to his master.

“Be careful and don’t let your feelings take over you.” Master Li said.

“What?!” Kris gritted his teeth he was about to get in but Master Li speak again.

“Listen to me Kris; this is for your own good. Just listen to me this once.” The old man said but he ignored it and finally gets inside before the portal disappear.

“Why didn’t you tell him the truth Master Li?” Junho went to his side.

“He will discover it soon” Master Li said before he turned his back from Junho thinking what will happen to Kris if he finally meets the girl.

Meanwhile, the rest of EXO members finally arrived. They look around and they can smell human blood luckily, they can control themselves from craving human blood and if they were given a chance, this is the second time they will drink human blood. The last time they fed by a human was a hundred years ago where someone from EXO sneak to go to Earth to get few humans and bring them to their planet to drink their blood.

“Where are we? Is this Earth?” Tao asked and a man appeared behind the tree.

“Yes, this is Earth. Welcome to Earth.” The man said and all of them turned their heads towards the man with red eyes.

“Hey, calm down. I’m the one who will be your guide here. Come with me. Your house is not far from here.” The man said gestured them to follow him but they didn’t budge from where they are standing.

“Introduce yourself first.” Suho calmly said and the man lifts up both of his hands and sighs.

“I’m Lee Donghae a 345 years old vampire who’s living here on Earth for 15 years now and I will be the one who will teach you all about humans, happy?” Donghae seriously said. After exchanging glances, they finally followed him to their house and not far away from where they landed; they saw a huge modern style house.

“This is your house while you’re staying here. Come on let’s go inside.” Donghae led them inside the house and a huge living room welcomed them with lots of unfamiliar things that they didn’t see on their planet.

“That’s a television where you can watch different kinds of shows.” Donghae said when he saw Tao walk to the tv.

“Wow, awesome can we bring it to EXO?” Tao said that earned a smack from Chen.

“Yah! Why did you do that?!” Tao hissed while Chen glared at him.

“Ehehehe…guys stop it. Let’s proceed to the kitchen.” Donghae said smiling at them. He walks first to the kitchen followed by the others and show the kitchen, the different appliances and how to use it. Kyungsoo was really curious at the kitchen and with his curiousness; he almost burnt the kitchen when he pressed the button of the stove. His eyes got wide when a huge fire comes out that’s why Suho immediately use his power to kill the fire while Donghae’s mouth hung open watching them.

“W-Wait!!! You can’t use your power here on Earth. You have to keep yourself from using power if don’t want humans to doubt your identity.” Donghae said holding Suho’s arm.

“If we didn’t use our powers, how can we find the girl?” Kris finally speaks after being silent since they arrived.

“There’s still a way to look for her. I actually have a target right now but I’m still observing her. She’s studying at Seoul Integrated High School but I can’t approach her because I’m not a student. She’s in her junior year why don’t you study there so you can get closer to her.” Donghae grinned but all of them glared at him.

“Do we have to do this?” Lay asked while Donghae nodded his head.

“Fine, we will do it but give us her information.” Kris said.

“Her name is Choi Yoora, she comes from a very wealthy family here in Korea. She looks gorgeous and she has a different aura. She’s always with her so-called sister Lee Yeon who’s also living with her. She has a brother named Choi Siwon, a successful businessman.” Donghae told while leading them to the living room. All of them sit down on the couch listening to what the young man is saying.

“When will we start to study to her school?” Suho asked.

“On Monday, two days from now so we have to do training before all of you go there okay? But before that, you go to your corresponding room and rest. We can continue this tomorrow. Oh by the way, your room is based on your symbol so enjoy!!” Donghae gave them one last smile before he stood up and went to his room but before he walk pass to them, Kris grabbed his arm.

“Do you have a question?”

“Why do I have a feeling that she’s near to us?” Once Kris said it, Donghae’s eyes grew wide.

“What? D-Do you feel her presence?” He stutters and Kris knitted his brows. Sh*t! This is bad. Don’t tell me she’s Kris’ mate? Donghae said into his mind looking at Kris with wide eyes.

“T-They are actually l-living beside us. The huge mansion beside us is hers” He said and Kris nodded his head still didn’t understand why he feels something strange near him. Donghae immediately left him and went to his room. Once he closed the door behind him, he immediately went to the corner and lifted up the white clothe that’s covering a huge mirror.

“Master Li…” he called and a face of an old man appeared.

“What is it?” Master Li asked.

“Does the girl and Kris are……” Donghae can’t continue but the old man nodded his head as if he understands what he meant. Donghae gasped at the old man inside of the mirror.

“Are they already there? Now that you knew about it, please keep it as a secret? Let him discover it by himself.” Master Li said and the younger man nodded his head.

On the other hand, Kris finally found his room. He walks inside to see a spacious room with a black and white pattern on his walls. He looks around and felt it again, his heart race. He feels like he was having a heart attack, he sits on the edge of the bed but something caught his eyes. There’s someone outside the balcony of the other house beside them, he stared at the back of that person even though it was dark, he was sure that it was a girl based on her long hair that was facing him when the girl felt someone was watching her, she turned her head and their eyes met.
