Sweetie Call

DING DONG!

The doorbell sounded. It was 9:15 pm. Yoona jumped out of her skin and ran to the door. She was half-pissed and half-excited but she answered the door anyways.

"Hi!" in the darkness, Luhan waved at her. Yoona smirked and sighed, a sign that she was pissed. Regardless, the keys were in her hand, ready to unlock the gate and let him inside

"Hey there." she said with a low voice. Luhan noticed the change in tone.

"You okay? You mad? Sorry I just got out of the game." he said. "I actually begged off but they continued to press me." he was lying. He was the one who initiated the second round.

"It's okay. No big deal." she said indifferently. Luhan shrugged and replied,

"Okay." Luhan smiled and entered the house. Yoona closed the door behind her and led him to the living room. They sat on the sofa at the same time and slouched. Luhan took  Yoona's hand in his.

"How have you been today, my love?' asked Luhan. Yoona shrugged and smirked.

"I've been good." she replied. "Tired, but good." Yoona wasn't really tired. Well she was tired of wating for him and wondering what was taking him forever to arrive. Not wishing to start conflict, she chose not to question his tardiness.

"I've been okay.  Won some games, lost two." Luhan said. Luhan was a die-hard gamer, something that Yoona was quite neutral about.

"Good. Good for you." Yoona was obviously not interested in his gaming hobby, neither would she even attempt to.

"Yeah. But I'm happy now because I'm with you. Gaming doesn't and can never hold a candle next to my girl." Luhan said. Yoona just grinned to show external happiness but deep down inside, she thought,

He would never. I bet he wasn' t even walking yet when he told me he was on his way. He was still at D.O.'s place playing games.

"Okay. Whatever you say, Luhan!" Yoona said. Luhan embraced her and sniffed her all over before leaning his head on her shoulder and just resting on her like a pillow. Yoona sat with a blank look on her face, contemplating about Luhan's true intentions.

"So what did you tell them earlier? Did you tell them that you were sick or something?" she jokingly asked in an attempt to catch him. This was a recurring action of Luhan's, telling his friends that he was sick, that he had a curfew, that he had to take care of his sister, that he had diarrhea just so that he could see Yoona in secret, leading Yoona to think if he really did love her.

If he did love me, why do his visits have to be secret? Is he hiding something? Is he cheating? Part of me thinks his friends know he's in love with Seohyun.

"Nah I told them I had to watch my sister." he said comfortably while hugging her. Yoona squinted her eyes. She was greatly offended.

"Why?" she couldn't help but ask. The tone of her voice made Luhan loosen his grasp on her and sit up straight.

"Because they might get suspicions. Like they might start asking and bugging me and ." Luhan said. Yoona continued to glare at him.

"And so?" Yoona retorted, moving slightly farther away from him.

"Are you mad?" Luhan asked, obviously concerned. Yoona rolled her eyes at him.

'Is that even a question? Of course I am! Why the hell do I have to be such a huge secret?! Are you ashamed of me? Are you hiding something? Are you cheating?!"

"No! No!" Luhan vehemently denied but Yoona refused to accept his explanation.

"You're using me as a coverup because you didn't get Seohyun and because I comforted you through it all?!

"No! You don't understand. I'm just-"

"You're ashamed of me. You don't want your parents and friends to know that you have a girlfriend! Why? Because I'm not as pretty as Seohyun?! Is that it?!" Yoona cried. Luhan tried to calm her down but she refused to listen to him. She listened to her own gut feel because, well, after all, gut feel was always right.

Truth was, Luhan was still not over Seohyun dumping him. There was still a little bit in him that actually cared about Seohyunn although he did love Yoona. Yoona, however, didn't feel it.

"Look, I don't want to argue right now, okay Luhan. It's 9:45, you came late. You blew it. Not only that, you kept me a secret and used diarrhea or your sister as an excuse. That's a ing insult. I suggest you leave." Yoona demanded.  Luhan tried to explain himself but decided not to pursue it. Yoona wouldn't listen anyways.

"I'm really sorry. I'll call you when I get-"

"No. Leave." Yoona pointed towards the door. Luhan shook his head and walked straight to the wooden door. He had hoped for a romantic night, he got a scolding from his girlfriend instead.
