Hongbin’s laughter filled my ears as he collided with the ground after his failed attempt to try to catch me. I couldn’t help my own laughter from escaping as I hunched over myself, gasping in an attempt to get a decent breathe in. My stomach was cramping from laughing so hard and I could feel tears slipped past my closed eyes to slide slowly down my cheeks.

I stood, inhaling huge gulps of air as I wiped at my eyes and tried hard to repress  the fits of laughter still trying to escape as I stared down at Hongbin. I failed when my eyes landed on Hongbin, curled up in a ball on the ground, body shaking in his own fits of laughter.

“Hajima!” I gasped, my stomach contracting in pain as I waved my hand at him in a miserable attempt of surrendering. “I give up.

Hongbin glanced at me, his face flushed with a huge grin on his lips. He was still silently laughing, but his laughter was subsiding much quicker than mine was as he crawled to a standing position. However, after focusing on him, my own body responded and I began to inhale properly.

I pushed his arm lightly, mock glaring at him as I trudged back to our picnic blanket. It was a short distance away thanks to Hongbin chasing me. He gently pushed me back lightly, smiling wide and I had to look away to hide the blush that was creeping over my cheeks fast.

“Race you.” Hongbin spoke, drawing me back to him. I opened my mouth to respond but he was already darting off towards our food and blanket.
