Lying in bed as usual, Chanyeol waits for his mom to take him down for breakfast. It was just five long minutes of waiting until he heard the squeaking of the door.

“Mom?” Chanyeol called out.

“Hey, good morning. It’s Baekhyun..”

“Oh, good morning Baek. Do you need help with homework?” Chanyeol asks.

“No, I’m taking you out for breakfast, my treat.”

It was a bit unusual that Baekhyun is being this nice to him. First insisting of taking him to breakfast, and then paying for it- it was a little too much maybe. Just yesterday Baekhyun was lecturing him about not asking for assistance, and today is breakfast and treat; could someone change possibly this fast?

Chanyeol didn’t want to assume things either,maybe his brother has finally came out of his senses and spend quality time together.

“Sure, I’ll get ready first,” Chanyeol said, “where’s mom?”

“No it’s okay; I’ll help you get ready. Just becareful when you get in the bath. I’ll be waiting outside the bathroom in case you slip yeah?” Baekhyun said as he walked inside the bathroom and switched the warm water on.

On the way to the breakfast house, it was a silent ride. Baekhyun drove while Chanyeol had his head down, fiddling with his fingers.

“Yeol, sorry for shouting at you yesterday.” Baekhyun said breaking the silence.

“Nah, it’s alright.”

Baekhyun turned to the corner and parked the car. “We’re here.”

Chanyeol stayed in place, as Baekhyun got off his seat and out the car, then opened Chanyeols door to help him up.

They sat in the restaurant comfortably; they sat on a sofa seat next to the window. Baekhyun raised an arm and called for a waiter. A guy came up to them, his smile was sharp and his hair had a nice shade of dark brown.

“Hello, I’m Kim Jongdae, but you can call me Chen. I’ll be your waiter for today.” The chap smiled.

“Hello! I’m Baekhyun and this is my brother Chanyeol.” Baekhyun greeted nicely.

Before Chen could take their orders; a male in a suit came up to them. “Hey Jongdae, where’s your hat?”

“It’s too silly! I won’t wear it.” Chen whined.

“I’ll cut your salary if you don’t.” the male said, “oh hi Baekhyun, Hi Chanyeol.”

Baekhyun recognized the male in the suit. It was that Baozi guy, Xiumin. Baekhyun smiled and waved at Xiumin, and waited for them to finish their conversation.

“Okay! Fine! Here!” Chen said, as he took a hat from behind his apron and wore it. It had a 3D duck popping in the center of it. Xiumin satisfied gave an evil grin and walked off.

“Ugh, sorry that was my stupid boss. I don’t even know why I’m working for him.” Chen said and continued with the orders. “So what would you like?”

“Wrong. Push up.” Tao said once again. It’s the tenth time he said it, and he was already getting on Kris’ nerves.

Kris’ taking Wushu. At first he liked it, not until the new teacher was introduced, ZiTao. Ever since he came, wushu lessons became tough. At first he thought training was intended to be harsh, but as days passed by, he realized it was just ZiTao torturing him.

Kris stood up after doing ten pushups, and continued with the routine.

“Wrong.” He heard Tao say, “your expression, it’s all wrong. Pushups.”

Kris went on the floor and did pushups, he was already annoyed enough, but then he heard.

“Your push-ups are wrong. Ten more.”

Kris huffed and stood up. He rubbed the dust off his white pants and scowled at Tao. “You know what! Wushu is not my style!” Kris said walking off, “And if you’re wondering why my push-ups are wrong, which they aren’t! Maybe push-ups aren’t my style either!”

With that, Kris strutted out.

Finishing up their food, Baekhyun called Chen for the bill. Afterwards they went back into the car where they are supposedly headed home.

“Okay we’re here!” Baekhyun said in excitement.

“home?”

“Nope, photo studio. I want to take a picture with you.” Baekhyun implied.

“Why?”

“We never had one..”

It was true, after all these months, they never had one picture together. Even family pictures, they hadn’t taken one in a while.

They went into the photo studio and Baekhyun was a bit confused in which theme to pick.

“How about a normal picture?” Chanyeol suggested.

“Good idea!” Baekhyun agreed. “It’s cheaper too!”

Baekhyun pulled Chanyeol into the studio, Chanyeol couldn’t see but there were lots of lights. Baekhyun pulled one of the prop stools for Chanyeol to sit on, and then he stood behind Chanyeol placing one hand on his shoulder.

“ready?” They heard the camera man ask. They both nodded. “Say kimbab in three!”

“one, two, three.”

“Kimbab!” Chanyeol smiled, and Baekhyun exclaimed forming a peace sign with one of his hands.

Baekhyuns face was near Chanyeols, his smile bright as ever, and eyes smiling delightfully. Chanyeol, had a gummy smile; his left eye twitching a bit.

They took a few more shots before driving back home.

I was still morning when they’ve arrived. Baekhyun lead Chanyeol back to his room, and before he could walk out the door, he heard Chanyeol call for him. “Baek.”

“Hm?” Baekhyun turned around.

“Thank you.” Chanyeol smiled.

“No problem Yeol.”

Later that afternoon, Sehun came over, and as always they’d talk about the recent events that happened. Sehun kept going on and on about his stalker and his date with Luhan, and Chanyeol told Sehun how nice Baekhyun was this morning, and that he had enjoyed it. They were both having such a good time chatting.

Baekhyun came in afterwards. “Chanyeol!” he called.

“Yes, Baek?”

“I have a surprise!” Baekhyun said in a cheerful tone and disappeared to get the surprise.

“Hm, what do you think it is Sehun?” Chanyeol asks, but Sehun didn’t seem to know either.

A few seconds later Baekhyun came back holding a wrist; in the same time their mom came in to see what the surprise was.

“remember I got a part time job? I quitted yesterday because I finally have enough money!” Baekhyun smiled.

“No, Baekhyun..” Sehun whispered with a sigh.

“I finally got enough money to hire a butler for at least a month, now he could help Yeol around.” Baekhyun continued.

They were all shocked at what Baekhyun just told. Sehun and Mrs Park looked at Chanyeol who had his head down and mouth slightly agape. Chanyeol usually never says anything to the crap Baekhyun does, but this time he felt as if his brother crossed the line.

“I never knew you were this desperate Baek..” Chanyeol inquired, “You worked so hard just so you can never see me again.” He stood up still facing down, hurt and disappointed at the other male. Sehun quickly got hold of Chanyeol and they both made their way upstairs.

Their mom just gave a disappointed look at Baekhyun.

That night Chanyeol laid in bed, he held the picture he took with Baekhyun this morning. He softly rubbed his thumb across the surface of the small cardboard paper.

Chanyeol wonders to himself. “How do we look in this picture?” He asks. He wonders if Baekhyuns happiness was real during the time they spent. That night Chanyeol did not go to Baekhyuns room to listen to his heartbeat. He was too sad towards Baekhyun.

Like most nights, he cried himself to sleep.

Luhan lies lazily on the sofa, ignoring the television screen in front of him. His eyes were attached to his phone screen instead, playing games. Later his phone pinged, he received a message.
