The sound of wheels screeching on the road

The sound of a body being hit

The loud thud that came from the contact of the driver’s head and the steering wheel

A man was lying on the road

And Red was colouring his pale face

The driver quickly got off from his car and went to look at the man

The driver got on his knees and held him

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry”

The driver chanted like it was a kind of mantra

The man looks up, facing the driver’s face

He cuped his face and gently his cheek

The man smiled

“..D-don’t.. Cry..”

“S-shut up. I’m going to call the ambulance”

The latter said between sobs while he dialed numbers on his phone with shaky fingers

The man pulled away and smiled again

The man’s eyes began fluttering down

I look to my door

I sigh while i try to calm my heartbeat

I plop back down on the bed and just stare at the plaid ceiling

I tried to recall the dream i had

I sighed again
