◇◆Suho oneshot◆◇

Children of all ages were tottering, running, screaming and being all round boisterous for the season. There was laughter everywhere as rounds of games were played with the children. The day care centre was celebrating the Christmas season with a party the week before Christmas Day and everyone was enjoying themselves to the fullest. You stood with a few of the other day care workers and watched as the children played, cheering them on or helping them up again if they fell over. As the children’s parents weren’t there, they were more playful and even those who were normally shy joined in.

Soon it was time to hand out the gifts the day care had prepared for the children. You hurried off to the staffroom, looking around for Suho. He was the only male carer there, so everyone had picked him to dress up as Santa. Surprisingly, he had agreed easily on one condition, that you were to dress up as an elf, and now, he was probably getting changed into the outfit. You sighed when you thought about dressing up but went to the bathroom anyways.

The red velvet bag of gifts sat in the corner of the staffroom, the gifts wrapped in shiny paper and ready to be distributed to the children. You sat on the worn sofa in the room and waited for Suho to appear. A distant, “Ho ho ho!” was heard and that was your cue to bring in the bag. You straightened your red dress that looked decent enough to be worn in front of children – you had picked out a simple red baby doll dress that finished just below your knees, matched with a black belt and a white, woollen scarf. It looked okay, and with a Santa hat and snowflake earrings as the final touch, it looked Christmassy enough to pretend as an elf (except for the ears).

You sighed and picked up the bag, heaving it over your shoulder and hurrying out to the children. There were louds cheers from the children when you appeared and Santa (Or Suho, really) clapped and laughed with them, “Ho ho ho! Miss. Elf has brought the gifts! Now, line up children if you all want a present!” he said loudly. They all scrambled for a place in the line, pushing and shoving to try and be first. “Now, now, everyone will get something but you all have to be good, okay?” With this, they all calmed down and waited patiently.

Each child happily received his or her own personalized gift and left soon after as their parents came to pick them up. One particular kid came up to you and made you bend down a little to whisper in your ear, “Is it Suho-oppa wearing the suit?”

Your eyes widened and you looked at the little girl, Well, she is one perceptive kid! You thought. You patted her head and held up a finger to your lips, winking at her. “You’re right. You sure are smart! But don’t tell anyone else, okay? Can you keep it a promise?” you asked, holding up your pinkie. She nodded eagerly.

“Yes, unnie! It’s a promise!” she giggled, linking her pinkie with yours. She waved goodbye and ran back to her parents who looked confused at the exchange.

You shook your head and sighed, turning around to see that Suho had come up behind you. “Oh my god! You freaking scared me!” You gasped, holding a hand to your beating heart. He chuckled and pulled down his fake beard.

“Well, Merry Christmas,” he smiled, that heart stopping smile that caused you to stumble a little even though you were wearing flats.

“Uh, yeah, Merry Christmas to you too,” you blushed and walked stiffly back to the staffroom to get your change of clothes. He followed behind you, and even though you knew he was also probably getting changed, you couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. It wasn’t like you had had a crush on him since… forever. Oh stop being such a weirdo, you mentally slapped yourself, Why would such a… handsome, gorgeous, nice, caring… GAH! You’re going off on a tangent again! Go get changed already!

You grabbed your bag and rushed off to the female staff bathroom and changed quickly. You didn’t really want to be so close to him again and you were at you’re limit for the day – tired from handling the hyperactive children and more than one close encounter with Suho for the day was making your poor heart drum a little too fast.

As you exited the bathroom hastily, you didn’t look where you were going and crashed head first into Suho, landing on top of him. Your face was buried into his coat smelling the cologne he was wearing and didn’t dare lift your face up, hiding your furious blush.

“A-Are you okay?” He said, sounding concerned and a little worried that you weren’t getting up.

You were still silent and he hesitantly took a hold of your shoulders and lifted you up. Your hands had automatically clutched the lapels of his coat when you fell, so he had some difficulty trying to sit up with you. He looked down at your hands and you removed them in a hurry, “A-ah, I-I fine! Sorry!” your voice shook a little and you tried to get up slowly, only to stagger on your heels and fall back into his lap. “Sorry!” you repeated again, hiding your face in your hands.

He laughed and wiped at his eyes. Great! Now he is laughing at how stupid I look! Why can’t I ever get anything right when I’m with this man? You wanted to hit your head on the wall until you could forget what you considered the ‘most embarrassing moment’ of your life. Suho chuckled and tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear, his finger grazing your cheek lightly, stopping your breathing.

“Ahaha, so… can I get up now?” He asked, smiling again. Your heart felt like it had stopped beating entirely.

“S-sorry!” You mumbled, scrambling to get off him. The longed you sat in his lap, the more you felt like you were in heaven. “I-I should get going now!” You bowed to him and turned around, wobbling a little on your heels again but you managed to make your way to the back door of the day care centre. You heard him shout from behind you, “Do you want me to take you home instead?” But you continued to walk to your car.

You managed to get inside the car and close the door when someone knocked on the window. You looked up and saw Suho give you a little wave. You had a mini heart-attack and rolled down the window, “Um, hey?”

“Are you sure you don’t want me to take you home?” He asked, a little more persistent than you thought, “Because… you didn’t look too well before,” he scratched the back of his neck.

“No, I’m quite alright. Thanks anyways,” you managed to say without stuttering and waved good bye to him with a slight smile. You watched in the rear view mirror as you slowly pulled out of the parking lot, that Suho had a confused expression on his face while scratching his head.

The next day, after finishing another tiring day of looking after the children and saying good bye to the last child, you stretched and yawned. It was getting dark and time for you to head home. You still had to put up all the Christmas decorations too with less than a week left until Christmas. You turned around again and like yesterday, bumped into Suho, only this time he caught you, holding you around your waist. You blushed and wondered, How is it that I never realise that he’s right behind me? Where is my crush-alert-o-meter?!

He helped you stand up but didn’t let go of your waist. “Um, excuse me,” you looked down pointedly at his hands but Suho didn’t let go. One of your friends who worked here as well came into the room, causing the two of you to awkwardly jump apart. She walked past you with a knowing smile and a wink before disappearing into the staffroom. Suho hadn’t noticed the exchange.

“Well, I’ve got to get going… er… to pick up a package!” You bowed and waved good bye to him and left in a hurry. He only frowned and watched you leave frantically once again.

“Okay! Wait a moment!” Suho said, grabbing hold of your shoulders.

“Huh? Wha?” You were a bit shocked with his sudden movement and a bit dazzled by his appearance. He was wearing his regular casual clothes, except that today, it looked as if he was ready to out to party or something – his hair was neatly brushed like always, a warm navy scarf around his neck with slightly pink cheeks from the cold, a heavy black coat and what looked like a neat suit underneath matched with shiny black leather shoes.

“It seems like… you’ve been avoiding me or something these past few days,” his eyes were blazing with seriousness and you couldn’t help but admire those beautiful, warm brown orbs that seemed to bore into your very soul. Or you could just be overly imaginative.

“Um…” you didn’t have an answer because you really were avoiding him. You couldn’t help it; every time you even just happened to glance at him, your heart would start to beat faster and you would blush a bright pink. And the fact that he seemed to always be looking for you was not helping either. “Yeah, kind of,” you answered a little ashamed of your childish behaviour.

“Well, I’ll just say it now,” Suho said quickly, taking in a deep breath before continuing, “Would you like to have dinner with me on Christmas?”

You blinked a few times. “I’m not dreaming right?” You pinched your cheek and it hurt, So I’m not dreaming. Is he really asking me to go out with him? OMG~, you thought. “Really? You’re really asking me?” He nodded, “Then yes! I’ll see you on Christmas!” and on an impulse, you kissed his cheek and ran off to your car, too excited to care that you had just left Suho in utter shock.

Ain't it exciting?! It's already Christmas Eve! Uwahh~ ♡ btw, it seems italics don't show up on my tablet... so... I'll fix that alittle later after all the stories have been uploaded? Im glad most of you are enjoying these slightly cheesy, happy, fluffy christmas oneshots because... well, why not aye?
