And that's how I ended up in a place that I have never dreamed of going in my life.
Maybe that's also how I started to profess my love for rice cakes.

"Isn't it yummy?" Jinki asked as I shoved rice cakes into my mouth. It was already my second serving and yet I was still craving for more.
Blame dad on hiring an Italian chef. Spagetthi and pizza aren't my thing. Plus mom says dad hates korean food. For some particular reason.
I nodded since I couldn't talk with my mouth full.
"You are welcomed to call me Onew hyung." I glanced at him, still trying to swallow my rice cakes.
How in the world does he know how old I am? Oh yeah, Jonghyun.
"Onew hyung." I managed to say.
"Great, time to officially introduce myself. My name is Jinki but everyone prefers to call me Onew. I am a er for romance novels and movies. I love the rain and I am 24 years old."
I raised my eyebrow.
"My name is Choi Minho, no nickname sadly. I like partying, clubbing; any form of alcohol. I love... girls? And I am 22 years old."
"Oooh, can I make up a nickname for you?" Onew hyung asked eagerly.
"Sure."
"Ummm, what about Froggie?" I dropped my spoon.
"What?"
"No offense, but your huge eyes remind me of a frog." Onew hyung laughed. I couldn't help but to laugh as well.
"Then you should be a tokki!" I teased Onew hyung.
"No offense taken, 'cause that is already one of my nicknames."
"Oh."
"What other nicknames do you have then?" I asked.
"Well, there's dubu, chicken lover...."

We spent at least two hours eating rice cakes while getting to know each other better.
The both of us stepped out of the restaurant.
"I am going this way." Onew hyung pointed to the left.
"I'll call my driver then you can hitch a ride."
"Oh no, that's okay. I actually have an appointment, so I'll be okay by myself."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm older than you; I suppose I can take care of myself better than you." Onew hyung joked.
We smiled at each other for a while before Onew hyung decided it was time for him to leave.
"Um, canIhaveyournumber?" I blurted out.
"Eh?"
"I mean, I would love to hang out with you soon so can I have your number?"
Onew hyung blinked. "Okay."
I passed him my phone and he keyed in his number.
"Thanks, I will see you soon; right?"
He smiled. "Of course. Jonghyun will be mad at me if I don't." I laughed.

The next few days was a blur. I spent most of my time laying on my bed, staring at Onew hyung's number; debating on whether or not to call him. Sometimes I would even smile to myself as I remembered Onew hyung calling me a frog.
"What the hell happened to you?"
I was at Siwon hyung's mansion. The three of us, Siwon hyung, Kyuhyun hyung and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. The three of us loved hanging out in clubs or parties, and we would brag about our latest 'target'; which meant the girls we'd hooked up with. Sometimes even guys.
"What?"
"Why are you staring at your phone again? Waiting for a call or something?" Kyuhyun hyung turned to me.
"No, really. Go on with your story." I turned off my phone.
"You know that you are a bad liar, right?" Siwon hyung said.
"Yeah, I know."

It took me a whole week to finally press the green button.
"Yeoboseyo? Who is this I'm speaking to?"
"It's me, Choi Minho; the froggie?"
"Oh, Minho-ssi. Why did you call?"
"Just wanted to know if you are free to go out with me today."
"Um, sure I guess. Where should we meet up?"
"Outside your university?"
"Sure, see you at 1?"
"Okay, bye."

I think I just asked Onew hyung out. On a date.
