If It was Meant to Be -
Description
Where would KyuWook be if they had never made it with Super Junior?
It's been 8 years since Super Junior debuted and the group has followed along much the same path. But two members who never made it in have had their lives changed dramatically. They've found normal jobs and live typical lives. No saesangs, no paparazzi, no performing.
And, you know what? They've sort of made their peace with that. If things like fame were meant to be, then they would be, right? But where does that take these two great vocalists?
On an island in the Caribbean of course...
Foreword
He tore out of building, overwhelmed with emotions.
They liked him. They actually liked him. It didn’t matter that he was short. That he needed glasses and couldn’t dance. They liked his voice and they wanted to hear more. He had never felt so happy.
Bursting with leftover adrenaline, the young boy sprinted another three blocks straight into a cheap one-night hotel. Ignoring the bewildered stares of the staff, he flew straight up the stairs, not slowing down despite the burning in his legs, and pounded on the first door to his right.
It flung open to reveal a man and woman, the anxiety visibly releasing them as they took in their son’s face.
“They liked me!” The young boy burst out with the words, as if he still couldn’t believe them.
The woman brought her hand to . “Ryeowook…?” she breathed.
The boy started laughing, breathless from the long run but the words kept coming.
“They said ... that there’s … a group…” He inhaled deeply, “I’m on the waiting list. They’re debuting soon but the CEO: he really liked my voice. If we get a call…” He didn’t even need to finish.
His father’s face glowed with pride. His mother’s eyes brimmed with tears. Together they enveloped their gifted son in their arms.
Everything was coming together. The lessons, the music school, even coming to all the way out to Seoul just for the one audition; it was all worth it because his dreams were now closer than ever. Money might have held him back for so many years, but hey, better late than never. Right?
So the family of three flew back to Incheon that night and waited. They waited for the call that would change everything. It would take their son away for two months of exhaustive training. And for many months after that. It would put him the international spotlight with thirteen other members and forever cement him as one of the strongest voices in Kpop. But most importantly, it would fulfill everything he had wanted for his entire life.
So they went home and waited.
And waited
And waited
For the call that never came.
I hope that foreword was coherent...
Yep, this is my first fanfiction. More like my first fiction piece... Hopefully somebody will enjoy it!
Just a warning, I'm notorious for not being able to shorten anything so this will probably be a long piece, and it will be about Kyuwook but there will be OC's and SNSD never existed.
