one; blind dates
The CEO's Daughter
Sunggyu tried not to yawn in front of this so-proud-of-herself girl and appear uninterested at all. For the past thirty minutes, she kept on talking about her life, her family, and her career. This was one of the reasons why he doesn't like to be in a blind date that s had planned for him.
'Chicks are just crazy', as he eloquently put it.
"My family's business has been almost five years now...." blah blah blah. He was resting his chin above his palm as he stared at her. Not likely he was staring at her, but he was staring right through her. He was bored. And he needed to get out of here. Fast.
The girl's phone rang and he was grateful. She took the call for a moment and he sighed in relief. It was like he was in a cage for so long.
His phone beeped and he took it. Dongwoo texted him. 'How's the date?' Yes. This jerk planned today's blind date for him.
'Boring. As usual.' He texted back.
'Harsh.'
'Not gonna lie, man.'
"I'm so sorry about the interruption," the girl came back and he almost muttered a curse. It would be great if her phone conversation has been taken an hour. "Now where are we? Oh right, I remember. I went to London for years and studied there..."
Blah, blah, blah. Her words just entered his left ear and passed through the right ear. He was too bored to care.
"Are you listening?" She asked, frowning at him. It was like she was finally aware he wasn't interested in every word she said.
"I'm sorry but I've got to go now." He said instead. "Something came up and I really need to get my off there. Nice meeting you, though. Bye." He stood and left. It might appear rudely but he doesn't care. He had enough of those proud girls and he needed a break.
