Stupid Bastard

Life As We Know It (She's An Heiress)

Suho was still holding my hand. I made the nervousness and the feeling of being uncomfortable fade by thinking that it was just an oppa-and-dongsaeng gesture.

We turned right and an empty hallway of the house greeted me. I wondered where it lead. I stopped walking and he turned to me.

"Suho-ssi, where are we going?" I asked in a nervous tone.

He smiled that beautiful smile again. "Don't worry, young miss. Just trust me. And also you should get used to this because you will be seeing each of us every day." There was a pause. "I hope this question wouldn't be a bother to you but... Perhaps, do you admire our group?"

I laughed nervously. Exo was a very famous boy group and if I said 'No', Suho might think the same way as Sehun and would also judge me. And if I said 'Yes', he might get uncomfortable the next time I will be near him because he might be thinking that because I am a fan, I might jump on him anytime.

Eventually, I chose to be honest even though there was a possibility he would think I'm an alien or something.

"A-Aniyo. M-Mian."

What happened next was the unexpected. Instead of judging me, he smiled and he was like, "Aniyo! You don't need to apologize. That's a relief. But it would be nicer if you are. It has been a long time since I communicated with a fan. The fans are the reason why our group tries harder. We like making them happy all the time."

I nodded. He started to walk away when I let go of his hand and I grabbed his arm. He stopped walking and gave me a smile again. Even though he was smiling I could tell that he was totally confused why I held him back. "I told you not to call me, Miss. I'm your dongsaeng!" I said with a smile.

His face fell and his smile faded. "You want me to treat you like you're my dongsaeng? Why? You know what, Miss, I would accept that you'd want me to call you by your name instead of Miss but call you dongsaeng? There's no way I would do that."

I frowned and let go of his arm. "Okay, fine. Call me Soo Jin. But why don't you want to call me 'dongsaeng'?"

He looked at the cream-colored wall and started walking slowly. I started walking too. He took a deep breath and said, "Because it's weird."

I laughed lightly. "Weird? Why would it be weird? I don't know your age but I think you're four or five years older than me. It's just right for you to call me dongsaeng."

He sighed and faced me again. We both stopped walking again. "You just don't understand it, Soo Jin."

"I don't understand what?"

He ignored my question. As he walked away from me, he spoke his voice echoing along the hall.

"Follow me to the dance studio. The other boys are probably there practicing a dance. I'd like you to meet them."

I nodded and jogged to catch up with him. He didn't take my hand anymore but my wrist instead.

When Suho and I reached the end of the hall we turned left and then I saw two door panels that locked in the middle.. Suho placed his hand on the knobs of the two doors and it opened. I got inside and was greeted by an empty room. The room had a size half of a gymnasium. I looked up and noticed that the room had a high ceiling. A huge mirror that reached up to the ceiling was occupying a whole wall.

Suho dragged me towards the center of the room and a not too loud music could be heard. A few feet away from us was a person dancing, wearing cargo pants and a baggy sweatshirt.

As we walked closer to the person dancing, I tried to look for an angle for me to see his face but the hood of his sweatshirt was covering it.

Suho cleared his throat to get the dancer's attention. His way of clearing his throat was really weird that it almost made me laugh. He cleared his throat again but the person just kept on dancing. He cleared his throat for the third time but it wouldn't budge.

I watched as he danced and I couldn't help but stare at him in awe. He's a very good dancer. I fell in love with the way he moved.

The music stopped and I couldn't help but feel disappointed because he stopped dancing. I figured out that as I was staring at him earlier as he danced, Suho walked towards the source of the music and he turned it off. I could already picture the dancer being pissed because he was disturbed.

The dancer just stood there. After a few moments, he turned around and pulled down the hood of his sweatshirt. He looks at me and Suho with those piercing eyes. If looks could kill, I’d probably be dead.

"Hyung, I was practicing the dance! Why did you turn the player off?!"

Suho looked at his angry face like it's no big deal. "I already cleared my throat three times but you still didn't hear me so I turned the player off. Besides, I would like you to meet someone." And he stepped aside so that I could walk closer towards the angry but attractive dancer.

I was about to smile and greet the dancer when he scoffed while looking at me with those offensive eyes of his, "Oh! Is she your girlfriend?! Hyung, I have no time for that. Maybe you should leave the room now and go find the other boys. You can introduce her to them. I still have to practice the dance. I'm glad you've got yourself a girlfriend, hyung!"

My mouth parted and I turned to Suho. He was looking at the ground and his cheeks were so red. I looked down at my palm. The palm that Suho's hand touched. I bit my lower lip to stop myself from blushing. The dancer was about to walk towards the player to turn it on so he could practice again when Suho yelled and it caused him to turn back to us.

"NO, YOU IDIOT! She's not my girlfriend. She's Lee Soo Jin. Lee Soo-Man's long-lost granddaughter!"

The dancer’s eyes widened. "O-Oh... Uhmmm... R-Really? S-Sorry I d-didn't know."

Suho nodded and started to walk towards the door. "You two please get acquainted! I'll just search for the other boys."

The dancer smiled and I could tell that it's a fake one. Suho exited the dance studio leaving me and the dancer.

There were a few seconds of awkward silence when I decided to break the ice. "Look, Oppa. I'm sorry if we interrupted your dance practice. I'm really sorry."

He just stared at me and simply said. "Don't call me Oppa."

"What? Why?"

He smirked. "Call me Jongin."

I smiled awkwardly. "Okay. But please don't call me miss. Call me Soo Jin."

He walked closer towards me and looked at me with those offensive, intimidating and beautiful eyes of his. "Don't assume too much. Of course I wouldn't call you Miss. I want normal not formal."

I don't know what to reply so I just changed the topic and asked him. "Why were you so mean to Suho?"

He frowned and spat, "It's none of your business. Now leave the room and go find the others. I still have to practice."

My insides boiled up in anger and yelled, "YOU KNOW WHAT?! You're attractive! Not to mention that you're great in dancing! You are physically attractive but you're ugly in the inside! Just like Sehun!"

He bit his lower lip and slowly walked towards me. When he was already close to me, I moved backward and my heart beat a thousand miles per hour when my back hit the cold wall. He trapped me by placing his arms between me and he leaned closer. "Really, Lee Soo Jin? You think I'm attractive?"

"I... I... No of course not! I said you're ugly!"

He looked at my eyes and that time I really prayed to God that Jongin was not like Tao who could read my mind. I knew I couldn't handle it if Jongin figured out that he was making me nervous.

"No, Soo Jin. That's not what I heard from you. You said I'm physically 'attractive' but ugly on the inside. But it doesn't really matter. I don't really care if you think I have an ugly attitude but I'm really glad you think I'm attractive.”

"Don't flatter yourself, Jongin." I said, raising my eyebrows.

"You are really pretty, Lee Soo Jin." he said in a husky voice.

Holy macaroni.

He slowly leaned in and I was really confused at first. But then he closed his eyes and slowly parted his lips and that time I knew that he was going to kiss me. Bringing out my ninja side, I ducked just before his lips touched mine and I passed under his right arm.

I sighed in relief when I'm already a few feet away from him.

It seemed like he didn’t notice that I'm not between his arms anymore because he continued leaning in and his lips landed on the cold wall. He opened his eyes, his lips still on the wall. He quickly jumped away when he realized that he was not kissing me but the wall.

He looked at me as his empty hands turned into fists, and glared. He probably felt embarrassed.

I glared back at him and spat, "STUPID BASTARD! There's no way in hell I'm going to let you steal my first kiss!"

I ran towards the dance studio's exit and felt his eyes not leaving me until I closed the doors.

I jogged along the hallway to go find Suho.

If only my eyes turned into video cameras so that I could show the world the most stupid and most retarded thing that Jongin of EXO did... so far.
