The Next Day...

Bom received a call from Dara, the latter wants to talk to her as soon as she's free, sensing the panic on her voice, Bom told Dara to meet her at the office around 9 am. When Dara arrived at the office, one of the employees told her that Bom gave her the rest of the day off and that she proceed to her office as soon as she got there, Dara nodded her head and walk as fast as she could towards the office

 

 

Lee Residence

"What's wrong with her?" Seungri asked Jiyong when he saw their little sister sitting on the edge of the pool and staring into nothing

"I don't know, she came home late last night.." Jiyong answered without looking at Seungri

"She always came home late, you know that she's spending most of their day with Dar right?"

"I know that but something's different last night.."

"Different?"

"Yeah, like something happened.."

"Why? Why would you say that?" Jiyong look at Seungri then to Chaerin and starts to remember the night he saw Chaerin

"I think you better call your sister to spend the night with Dara, it's been raining hard and she'll have trouble driving in this kind of weather.." Samantha said to his husband while they are at the stairs after dinner

"That's a good idea, i don't want her to drive home in this condition.." Jiyong answered, he fish out his phone in his pocket and dial the number of her sister but ended after he heard that it's out of reach

"Why?" Samantha asked

"I can't reach her.." he answered

"Maybe her phone is battery empty or there's no signal. Try calling Dara instead.." Jiyong nodded his head and was about to call Dara when the front door opened and came in Chaerin

"Chae!" Samantha said, Chaerin look at the couple smiling at her

"Hey.." she answered, Jiyong immediately sensed the sadness in her voice

"I was about to call you to tell you to spend the night with Dara because of this rain.." Jiyong said to her, Chaerin forced a smile and look at him

"Sorry, my phone died on my way home. I can't spend the night with her.." Chaerin answered

"Why?" Samantha asked

"Uhm she's kinda busy with Mi-na, ya know she's sick but she promised me that i can spend more time with her once Mi-na is okay.." she explained, Samantha on the other hand saw that Chaerin's eyes are kinda teary

"Don't worry, Mi-na will be a ok in no time. I know how much you love that little girl.." Jiyong said, Chaerin smiled again but this time a singke tear fell on her eye

"Yeah Oppa, uhm i'm gonna go upstairs.." Chaerin answered

"Aren't you gonna eat your dinner?" Samantha asked her but Chaerin only shook her head and start to climb upstairs, she's halfway when she stop on her tracks and look at the couple

"Oppa, Unnie.." she said, Samantha and Jiyong look at her

"Love each other deeply and truthfully. Don't hide secrets that can cause you your relationship.." Chaerin said, Samantha look at Jiyong

"We will Chae but what's the reason you said those things to us?" Jiyong asked, Chaerin shrug her shoulder

"Nothing Oppa, goodnight.." she answered

"I can sense that something happened between her and Dara.." Jiyong said and look at Seungri

"Like what? They are not together anymore?" Seungri asked

"I don't know but maybe you are right.."

 

 

 

Bom's Office

Bom's been looking at Dara once she saw her entering her office but the latter haven't said a word

"Dara.." she said

"Unnie.." Dara answered

"Come on, what's wrong? Why you texted me and said that you needed to talk to me"

"Unnie, i, uhm.."

"I won't be mad at you whatever it is that you'll say. I'm here to listen to you, i'm your friend right?" Dara nodded her head

"Now tell me, what's wrong?"

"Unnie, my, uhm, my sister is sick.." Dara said, Bom on the other hand knows what's been going on with Dara but she wants her to be honest with her

"How is she?" Bom asked

"She's doing fine but uhm she needs plenty of rest and we don't allow her to get tired.."

"Did she stop going to school?"

"No Unnie but i told her that. You know Mi-na, she loves to study and she pleaded to me that she wants to finish it.."

"So you allow it?" Dara nodded her head

"She said she'll be fine, Minji is helping her with her things.."

"Okay, so how are you and Minji?"

"Huh?"

"Dara, just answer my question.."

"Not good.."

"Why?" Dara look at Bom, she clench her fist to stop herself from crying

Dara's been calling Chaerin for the past 2 hours now but she seems to turn of her phone, she wanted to go to her house but Minji and Mi-na are not home yet and she don't know what she'll say to Chaerin

"Unnie, we're home!" Dara heard Mi-na's voice, she immediately walk towards the living room and saw her two sisters, Minji place both of their bags on the couch

"Hey, how's school?" Dara asked them, Mi-na smiled at her but Minji just look at her

"It's good Unnie, we will have our exam bby next week so we need to study hard.." Mi-na explained

"Good, i ordered some food for you guys.." Dara answered

"Great! I'm starving Unnie!" Mi-na said and almost run towards the kitchen

"Mi-na don't run!" Dara yelled then she look at Minji

"Can i talk to you?" Dara asked her, Minji nodded her head as if she's prepared herself for this, Dara pulled her gently, she don't want Mi-na to hear their conversation

"What did you tell to Chaerin?" she asked her

"Huh? What do you mean?" Minji asked her

"Come on Minji, what did you tell to Chaerin?"

"I don't have time for this, Unnie.." Minji answered, she was about to walk away when Dara grab her in her arm

"Answer my question! Damn it!" Dara said, Minji was shock on what she heard, Dara realized what she had done

"Sorry, I'm sorry.." Dara said, she comb her hair using both of her hands and sit on the couch

"I told her everything.." Minji said, Dara look up to her

"You what?"

"I told her everything!! Everything that you've been hiding to her!"

"Why Minji?!"

"Because she deserves to know the truth! She deserves to know that you are going out with Minho-Oppa every night!"

"I'm not going out with him!! I'm working every night!"

"Working? You called that working huh, Unnie?! I followed you once!" Dara stood up and look at Minji

"I saw you going inside that bar with Minho-Oppa! I saw everything Unnie!"

"Minji!"

"I don't know what's gotten into you!"

"You don't understand and know everything!!" Dara yelled, Mi-na who's in the kitchen heard the yelling and run towards the living room, she saw both of her sisters are crying

"I'm doing this for you! I'm doing this for Mi-na!" Dara said

"You don't need to give us everything!" Minji answered back

"I know! But i don't you and your sister to suffer! I want her to get better! Mom and Dad left us without nothing! I was still young that time but i remembered that i needed to find job badly to support you two! I stop going to school and find a job all over Seoul though i know i'm not qualified because of my age! But damn it!! I beg and plead to people so they will hire me, so you and Mi-na won't quit from your school!" Dara said, Minji is listening to her while crying while Mi-na is staring to the floor

"Day and night i worked hard for the three of us. I told myself that i'll take good care of you both! That i'll do anything for us to survive! I forgot that i need to take care of myself too, while working i always felt like i'm about to pass out but in the back of my mind, i kee saying to myself that i need to fight, that i needed this job or else they will took you and your sister away from me and i don't want that to happen!" she added

"Mi-na's got sick and i need to find two more jobs in able to support her maintenance medicine, Minji. I'm not doing this to hurt Chaerin! Yeah i know i hid things from her and now that she knows the fear that i'll lose her because of this is already happened.." Dara slump her body on the couch and started crying hard

"Unnie.." Mi-na said, she sit beside her and rub her back

"I'm sorry.." she said, Dara look at her younger sister and hug her tight. Minji on the other hand keep on crying while looking at the two, wishing that something good will happen to them especially to their big sister who risk everything she had in able to raise them well

"I don't know what to do anymore.." Dara said after she told Bom what happened between her and her sister and also what happened to her and Chaerin

"I keep on calling her even this morning but she's not answering.." Dara added

"Don't give up easily, she's hurting right now that's why she's acting that way.." Bom answered

"I know Unnie but why she won't let me explain to her everything.."

"One of this days she will let you explain but for now, give her enough time to think.."

"It's may fault why she's hurting this way but i have a decsion to make.."

"Without her again?"

"Yes, without her again and this time, i will let her go, she don't deserve someone like me.."

"What do you mean?"

"She deserve someone who will love her completely, that person who won't hide things from her. I have a lot of things going on with my life right now and i think i'm not yet ready for this kind of relationship"

"Dara.."

"And maybe by the time that i'm ready to have someone in my life, she's still there, waiting for me.."

"But what if she don't?"

"Then i'll accept it, besides it's my fault.."

"It's not your fault nor her. We are only human Dara, sometimes we made mistakes and i know Chaerin will understand everything.." Dara look down and play with her fingers, Bom reach out to her and held her hand

"Look at me, Dara.." Bom said

"Have faith okay, someday things will be back to normal again. Just don't lose hope. You still have yous sisters and me, Just give Chaerin enough time to think, she's smart and she will realize that you only did those things to support your sisters.." Bom explained, Dara smiled a little

"Thank you, Unnie.." Dara said

"It's nothing, now you go home and rest, working in a bar and wet market will really tear you out.."

"I will, thanks again.." Bom smiled at her, Dara wave goodbye, as soon as Dara is out of sight, Bom took her phone and typed in some word

Later that night..

Dara

I'm riding a taxi on my way home, i was waiting for Minji and Mi-na at the house when i decided to go to a supermarket to buy somethings i needed for our dinner, i look at my watch, 8 pm

'I still have 3 hours before my shift starts at the bar' i whisper to myself

For the past one month i've been working in a bar at night, my shift will starts around 11pm, my work there is a waitress, salary is good and gives me enough to buy Mi-na's medicine but i still have a lot of bills that needed to pay, my salary on the supermarket won't cover all the expenses in our house, so i find another job. My shift at the bar ended around 4 am then i will proceed to my next job which is at the wet market. People who owns stalls there paid me for cleaning their stall and helping them arrange the goods they needed to sell that day, my work there will end around 5:30 then i'll go home to sleep for an hour because my shift on the supermarket will start around 8 am

'It's hard being a single parent but i'll do anything for my sisters..' i whispered again, i saw our apartment building and grab some loose change on my bag, i gave the money to the driver once he stop the cab and i head out. I climb on the stairs, i arrive at our apartment and saw Mi-na watching TV in the living room

"Hi Unnie!" she said, she took the bags i'm carrying and place it on the table

"Are you hungry? I'll just prepare a quick dinner okay, just give me 10 minutes.." i told her

"Unnie relax, Minji-Unnie cooked dinner for us.." she said then she pulled me towards the kitchen, i saw my sister cooking something on the stove

"Unnie! Dara-Unnie is here!" Mi-na exclaimed then Minji look at us, she smiled at me

"Hey Unnie, your just in time!" she said, i saw the table is already set with some plates and glasses

"Here Unnie, have a seat.." Mi-na said to me

"Uhm no, i'll help you guys.." i told them

"Nuh uh, just sit Unnie, we got this.." Minji answered me, i smiled at the two and watch them move

"Yah! Move your !" Minji scolded Mi-na

"I'm moving, i'm moving! Sheez Ms. grumpy!" i heard Mi-na fired back, i laugh at the two and saw them place some food on the table, Mi-na sit on my right while Minji take my left side

"Hope you will like these food we prepared, Unnie.." Mi-na said to me

"You two prepare these?" i asked them, i look at the two and both of them are nodding

"You always prepare dinner, breakfast and our lunch. Now it's our turn to prepare you some.." Minji answered me

"And Unnie, Minji-Unnie wants to say something to you.." Mi-na said while she's munching on some corn, i look at Minji who's giving deadly stares towards her little sister

"What is it, Min?" i asked her, Minji look at me

"Unnie.." she said

"I'm sorry.." she added

"I know i screwed things up when i told Chaerin-Unnie everything but then i realized that you're not doing anything bad. Like you i'm worried about Mi-na's health and all i could do is pray for her but you, you risk everything to save her, you have 3 jobs that you deprive yourself from sleeping. I know it's hard having those kind of work but we never heard any complaint from you.." she added again, i'm just looking and listening to my sister

"We are lucky to have a sister like you, though we don't have a father and a mother anymore, we still have you, i still have you and Mi-na and i'm contented with that. I'm sorry if i hurt you with those words i said but Unnie thank you.."

"Thank you for taking care of us, thank you for never giving up on us and most especially thank you for being a mother, father and big sister to me and Mi-na. We won't ask anyone else to replace you because nothing can replace you.." i cried, i can't seem to say a word, i hug her so tight then i felt Mi-na's embrace

"We promise you Unnie that we will study hard so we can find a job then we will be the one who will take care of you.." she said, it made me cry more, bad things been happening lately to me, to them but Bom-Unnie's right, one of this day, things will be back to normal again

"Okay so let's eat!" Minji said, i wipe their tears from their faces but then i realize something

"Ahm, why there's a 4 plates on the table?" i asked them but before one of them can answer me, i heard a voice

"Ooohhh!! Just in time for dinner! Oh a corn!" Bom-Unnie said

 

 

 

 

1 hour later

Lee Residence

Chaerin

I'm sitting on my bed and looking at my laptop for the past 4 hours now, i need to do a report for my meeting tomorrow but it seems that my mind is not working. I sigh and lay down on my bed, i tried to erase her on my mind but everytime i close my eyes, all i can see is her face, her smiling face

'Damn it! I'm really am in love!' i whispered, i sit up and head towards the window, it's been raining hard and i know i can't go out if this rain won't stop

"Chaerin.." i heard Sunhee-Unnie's voice on the door, i walk towards it and open

"Yes Unnie?" i asked her

"You have a visitor.." she said and walk away

I wonder who will visit me at this time of hour, i hope it's not Jiyeon because i don't have time for her sentiments

I grab my robe and went downstairs, i saw Jiyong and Seungri-Oppa standing on the door and talking to someone

Who could that be?

"Oppa's!" i said then both of them look at me

"Someone is looking for you.." Jiyong-Oppa told me, i nod my head and peek thru the door and saw her

"Chaerin.." Dara said, i don't know what i'll do nor what i'll say

"What are you doing here?" i asked her in a cold tone

"I need to talk to you please, just for a sec.." she answered, my heart melts right away when i saw her teary eyes but then i remembered everything, even what i saw that night

"Talk? About what? I already said those things i wanted to say.." i told her

"Please let me explain everything to you, whatever you are thinking right now is not right.."

"Shut up!! Go home and do the things you've been doing!!! I don't even give a damn care!" i yelled at her

"Chaerin!" i heard Seungri-Oppa said but i ignored him

"Leave Dara! I don't want to talk to you!" i said and slam the door in front of her face, i started to walk and climb the stairs not even turning my head to look at my two brothers

 

 

 

2 Hours Later..

Chaerin cried herself to sleep, she loves Dara so much but she's hurting right now. Her mind is not processing right this moment, she don't want to think for a while, she heard a faint knock on her door

"Who is it?" Chaerin asked, she didn't even bother to got up and open the door

"It's me.." Jiyong answered

"Let's talk tomorrow Oppa.." Chaerin answered him

"Yes, we will talk tomorrow but let me tell you this, whatever happened between you and Dara, however bad it is, you should have not treat her like that.." he said, Chaerin cries

"Leave me alone, Oppa.." Chaerin answered him

"Okay, by the way, Dara's been standing outside for 2 hours now. She won't leave unless you talk to her.." Jiyong said, Chaerin widen her eyes

2 hours?

She knows the rain didn't stop and it's been pouring hard for almost 8 hours now, she immediately walk towards her window and she saw Dara standing there, she open it and called her

"Dara! I told you to go home!!" Chaerin yelled at her, Dara look up to her

"I won't! Please i need to talk to you!" Dara yelled back but Chaerin notice something, Dara is not wearing any thick clothes and by the sound of her voice, it looks like that she's shivering

"I told you there's nothing to talk about! Just go! I won't go down there even if you stand there for the rest of the night!"

"I Love You Chaerin!" Dara yelled back, Chaerin was shock to hear it

"I Love You and i don't want to lose you! It's my fault that you are hurting right now but please give me a chance to prove that i really do love you!" Chaerin don't know what to say, she can't feel anything because of the pain she's feeling right now, she then remembered what Jiyeon told her

Dara is only after your money, you have it all and she don't!

"You don't love me Dara! Stay with Minho, he can give you the life you wanted!" Chaerin yelled back, Dara look at her straight

"It's you that i want!"

"No! It's not me! I don't love you Dara!"

"I don't believe you!"

"I don't care!" Chaerin saw Dara look down on the floor

"Tell it straight to my face and i'll leave.." Chaerin heard her voice despite the rain pouring hard, the latter walks and grab her robe, she hurriedly made her way down but stop when she's about to turn the knob on the door

Can i do it?

But she turn the knob and not wait for the answer she already know, she walk to where Dara is standing, she look straight to her

"You want me to tell it to your face?! Then listen to this! I don't love you anymore Dara! Now leave and i don't want to see you again!" Chaerin said, Dara smiled at her

"You won't see me again, Chaerin.." Dara said, despite the rain, Chaerin knows that Dara is crying, she saw her turn around and walkaway the stop and turn around and look at her again

"Before i go, there's something i want you to know.." she heard Dara says

"I Love You with all my heart Lee Chaerin, i fell in love with you with just one simple hello.." she said and continue to walk away
