Summary: It's Kibum first day on the job
A/N: This is my first drabble. Whew..

As Kibum rounds the corner, he spots flashes of silver pinned by each wooden door. He slows down searching each plaque until he reaches one that read Lee Jinki, Executive Chief. He hesitates. Once more, he straightens his uniform before giving a feeble knock; he hears the talking stop.  Kibum faces a very tall, well-built man a second later. The stranger, now peering at him, steps aside and allows Kibum into the office.   Kibum notices one thing within the first few seconds: the man is obviously not Lee Jinki. It’s easy to judge because his name badge says Choi Minho. Even more apparent is the fact that someone else is occupying the desk.  The eldest, Jinki, looks up and nods in a sign of recognition. He has hair graying at the edges; a feature that Key thinks doesn’t do any justice to his youthful face.

“Ah fifteen minutes early” Jinki hums in approval. “Shows eagerness…I like that.”

“Thank you Sir.”

“Now,” Jinki says as he finally stands up. “You’ll be following Minho here for the next five months. He’s been on this team for about thirteen years now and he’s one of the best field training officers I’ve ever met. Whatever he says, you do, got it?”

“Yes Sir.”

“You just graduated from the academy right?” This time Minho speaks. His gruff voice catches Kibum off-guard.

“Yes, about two weeks ago…” His voice trails off as he realizes how inexperienced he must sound.

“Well lemme tell you, the streets ain’t anything like the textbook they teach you. You’re dealing with real life criminals who don’t care about whether you live or die.” Minho says. He sees Kibum’s face twitch. With a pat to Kibum’s shoulder, he grins before adding, “Welcome to the force, Rookie.”
