CHAPTER TWO
Black ParadiseCHAPTER TWO
You’re a good kid, right? Yes, yes, you are. And good kids are supposed to listen to what they are told, right? Do you see that man over there? No, no, you’re not going to hurt him. In fact, you’re going to be ending his misery; you’ll be helping him. Yes, you’re doing the right thing. Just put your finger on the trigger and aim at him. Yes, little angel, you’re doing the right thing. Not pull the trigger. Good.
[SEOUL, Year 20XX]
CHA HAKYEON grinned as he looked at the two boys in front of him. They were both his age (although one of them seemed a few years younger) and he was sure that they’d be able to be friends. Friends, Hakyeon couldn’t help but smile wider at the thought of having friends. It would be his first so although excited, he does feel worried that they might not get along. Pushing that thought aside, he grinned at the newcomers.
“Hello there, um, welcome to Paradise, I guess,” Hakyeon said as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. Now that he was actually speaking to the two boys, he found himself unable of saying anything else but ‘welcome.’ “It’s actually not that bad, living here, I mean,” he added when he heard one of the boys scoff.
Taekwoon rolled his eyes upon hearing the boy’s welcome. “My name is Hakyeon, by the way, Cha Hakyeon. I’m 10 years old, how about the two of you?” the boy – Hakyeon said as he introduced himself. So he was the same age as himself.
“Hello Hakyeon-hyung, it’s nice to meet you. My name is Jaehwan, Lee Jaehwan. I’m 8 years old, so I’m younger than you,” Jaehwan grinned as he introduced himself. Hakyeon immediately felt at ease with the boy, probably because they were both in the same situation and it seemed like they shared the same outlook.
Hakyeon waited for the other boy to speak. “Jung Taekwoon,” he said in an almost inaudible voice, but of course, Hakyeon was able to hear him loud and clear. He smiled at the two boys, knowing that they’ll be living together from now on.
“Well then, let me show you around our new home,” Hakyeon said as he took the hands of the two boys and pulled them towards him, urging them to follow. He heard Taekwoon grunt but when the other boy didn’t make any movement to back away; Hakyeon took it as a good thing and proceeded to show the two boys around.
“The whole building’s ours and only ours. We’re the only ones who’re supposed to be in here, if I could remember correctly. I think it was something about us being special or something like that,” Hakyeon explained, pushing open a door. “Although occasionally, an adult or two would visit,”
The two boys found themselves at awe the moment they step foot into the room. Looking at their reactions, Hakyeon couldn’t help but smile and be proud of being able to show them one of the places he loved the most. It was the only place in that hellhole that looked like paradise, even if it was just a little bit.
“This is my favourite place in the whole compound, because admit it, it looks almost like paradise.”
Author's Note: Finally! Here comes the 2nd chapter. I wasn't planning on posting this up yet, but seeing your comments made me wanna do it. Also, I'm trying to update as much as I can because I don't know when I'll start becoming busy, so yeah. And, yes, the loud boy was Ken. And N finally makes his appearance! Where do you think did he take Jaehwan and Taekwoon to? Also, what do you think about the red text before the chapter itself? Those are actually events, but I won't reveal whose...yet.
