[Yoona’s POV]

“Honey, I’ve made your break—fast….” mom’s eyes widened as she saw me

“..What?” I bluntly asked

“You dressed like a.. mourning woman” mom observed me head to toe

“Really?” I walked to the nearest mirror

“Wow” I added with a poker face, pretending to be surprised

“Dear, what are you going to do with those black scarf, black sneakers, black sunglasses, black handbag, & thick black coat?” mom put everything in her hands down

“Just in case if there’ll be any dangerous paparazzis & fans mom. Besides, who would ever thought the cute & feminine Yoona will dress all black, like a mourning woman?” I sat down to my dining chair

“You looked terrible.. and disturbed by your own dressing. Besides you’re too paranoid” mom commented

“Gosh, you really love commenting mom.. Let me be” I raised my spoon & munched my breakfast, not minding mom’s comment

“Okay, okay fine.. I’ll just go back to house chores” mom raised both her hands & walked away

“Be safe on your way hon!” mom shouted from afar

“That’s why I wore this disturbing dressing!” I shouted back

Since the office building is not so far away & it’s only a few blocks from home, I don’t need to go with a car. Besides I will only waste the gasoline if I did.

Just, I don’t think this mourning-like suit is a good choice though.. I pretended to dress like a freak right now, & the thing is, I forgot being a freak in front of public will only get you even more glares & attention from peoples. Gosh Yoona, how come you never thought of that…

But with my power of confidence, it’s easy to just deflect & ignore their glares though, I’m used to it.

-SM Office Building-

As I was going closer to the lobby gate, I saw a familiar senior actress standing, waiting for someone I guess, & she’s looking at me with a ‘who-the-hell-is-that-freak’ stare

And as I walked further…..

Ah! It’s Lee Yeon Hee sunbaenim!

“I’m sorry miss, may I help you with something?” Yeon Hee sunbaenim approached me & offered help.

I’ve never seen her standing outside the office by herself, is she a security now? Aish, pabo Yoong! Respect your sunbae

“I think we know each other, sunbaenim” I took my black sunglasses off & as I expected, her expression changed

“Ah, Yoona! I’ve been waiting, what takes you so long?” she shook hands with me & lead me inside the building

“And.. why are you dressed like a mourning woman? Oh.. D-did someone passed away Yoona..?” she added, with a sorry eyes

“Nooo, sunbae. I dressed like this to protect myself from dangerous paparazzis & fans” I simply answered

“Ah you’re being too paranoid Yoong. Just chill” she patted my shoulder. Two peoples said I’m too paranoid today.. Am I? I’m being too paranoid right? Yeah? Oh well..

And in the blink of an eye, both of us are already in front of CEO appa’s office

“He’s looking for you” she said

“You don’t need to me like this sunbae..” I pouted

“Well, he asked me since I’m free of any schedules & I’m in the office today. I’ll be off now pretty” she patted my head like her own sister. Well, I am her ‘sister of another mother’ kinda bit rhymy huh?

*KNOCK KNOCK*

“Come in!” a heavy voice replied behind the door

I bowed my way in, closing the door behind

“Is there something, Sooman-appa?” I stood in a well-mannered position

“Please Yoona, you may sit” Sooman-appa pointed an office chair before his desk

I sat as he permitted & waited for him to obviously tell me something.. Important, I hope

“Yoona, I think you’ve been working too hard” he said

“Ah, not hard enough appa..” I bowed a bit with a well-mannered smile

“No, Yoona, you’re like Yeon Hee, a professional actress. One of the entertainment’s best actress actually” Sooman-appa praised

“I thank you appa. I was nothing compared to Yeon Hee-sunbae, she’s the one who taught me how to be a professional actress” I kept bowing

“Indeed. And just like her, you raised this entertainment agency to another level. We became one of the major Korean entertainment agencies. For that, I deeply thank you Yoona” this time Sooman-appa bowed

“You’re always welcome appa. I’ll work even harder in the future” I stood up & thankfully bowed (I’m getting tired of bowing.. But well-manner requires it)

“And for all your hard work, you deserved a special gift, young lady” appa smiled pleasantly

“Am I worth this gift, appa? Me of all SM artists?” I made sure

“Yes, this is all appa can give to you Yoona” Sooman-appa took a white envelope & handed it to me

“Appa.. May I know, what is inside? It’s not as what I thought right?” (what I thought? Money. Cuz I know how rich he & this agency is)

“No, it’s a ticket. Please, you may go on a week off, you deserved to rest from all your work. It’s an executive class Seoul Airlines ticket for you to go somewhere outside this country. But I’m sorry to tell that the destination is a secret” Sooman-appa chuckled

“Don’t worry, I won’t send you to Alaska or an isolated island Yoona” Sooman-appa starts teasing, as always, there will be a time when he’ll tease & joke around

“Enjoy you week off. You won’t receive any calls regarding jobs, schedules, & it’s completely free of work-related stuffs. I need to remind you it’s a single ticket, I’m sorry that you can’t invite any of your family members. Your airplane will be scheduled to depart on Monday, tomorrow & the staffs will pick you up & you. I’ve also reserved a hotel room for you, it’s inside. So pack your things & rest well” he added

I gasped a bit & stood up, this time bowing as low as I can

“Thankyou so much appa, you really understand me! This is what I needed, I love you appa!! Let me give you a hug!” I hugged him & smiled cheerfully, carefully saving the envelope inside my handbag

“See you soon, appa” I bowed for the last time, & walked to the door

“Wait, Yoona!” appa shouted

“Yes appa?” I turned my head around

“My deepest condolences for whoever it is you mourned for”
