Finally, the school bell rang. You stood up from your seat and walked out the door and into the crowded hallway. It was snowing very hard outside, so everyone was rushing to get home, often smashing into each other as they rain to their awaited transportations home. While walking to your locker, you accidently bumped into somone. Right then, books fall onto the floor, landing with heavy thuds. "Ahh I'm so sorry!!" You said as you bent down and quickly picked up all the books. You neatly stacked them and stood up to face the person. As you stood up, you looked straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. 

It was that boy that never talked to you. You both were frozen for a while, as if the whole world froze. You finally broke the silence and looked down. "I'm sorry... Here's your books..." You said embarrassingly as you hand him the books without looking up. You quickly looked around, hoping nobody saw that. "Ah...... Thank you.... " He stumbled to say. You gave him a quick nod before turning and quickly trying to walk away. Leo watched you leave, his spirits suddenly exploding. He bit his bottom lip before swiftly grabbing your elbow. Completely surprised, you stopped and turned around to face him again. Inside, you burned up. "Ah... " He stumbled to say as he gazed into your eyes again. "Do you like parks...?" He asked. You nod, trying to hide your nervous side that you tried not to show anybody. He looked down at his feet. "Do you want to go to the park... later... ?" He asked shyly. "Um," You said as you looked out the window, covered in snow, "Sure... Why not?" You answered. Leo nodded and you finally departed from him. 

"The park....." You mumbled surprisingly as you shook the weird thought away.

 

Leo ran out of his house, trudging through the snow. He quickly reached the park and looked for a nice place. As soon as he found one, he began.

 

You slowly walked through the snow, trying not to get too much snow on you. You wanted to look pretty for him, which was odd because you had just met him. As you reached the park, you saw him sitting on the bench, all alone. "Awwsh!!" You yelled in your mind as you quickly ran up to the lonely figure. All he did was turn and look at you. "Did you wait for long...?" You asked him. He shook his head plainly. You gave him the biggest smile you can give him at the moment, hoping he'd look a little less lonely. To your surprise, he stood up and grabbed your hand. For a moment you were stunned at his eagerness. He guided you deeper into the heavy snows of the park. There, in the middle of the park, was a bench. A thin layer of ice coated the old wood.

He sat down on the bench and you sat next to him nervously. 

You both sat there quietly and awkwardly. Finally, out of the silence, he asked, "Ahh... Do you like it?" You looked at him. "The weather?" You asked him as you looked up confusedly. He shook his head, a small smile on his face. "The snowmen." He said as he pointed to his little family of mini snowmen lying there on top of the snow. You gasped, ignoring the fact that you had just made yourself look very stupid. "OH! Aww! They're so ... adorable!" You said as you got off the bench and crouched down to see them. Leo crouched down beside you, pretty close, too. Leo smiled when you were not looking at him. You finally looked away from the snowmen and sat on the snow. Leo sat, too. Even though it was weird you're both not sitting on a bench when there was one, you do it anyway. "You know... " You said out of the silence. "I used to think you were... Cold... Like I never knew you had... Any feelings." You said modestly as you remembered your years attending that school.

Your classmates used to gossip a lot, and sometimes, but rarely, you'd hear them talk about him. Leo looked down, but not offended. "I used to think you'd never look my way... " He said rather quietly. You looked at him surprisingly. "Oh!? Geez this is difficult!!!!" You said in your mind. "Oh I'm sorry... " You said sadly. Leo shook his head. "Well... I'm glad you knocked my books over." He said a little humorously. You couldn't help but giggle embarrassingly. Leo smiled at you, a truly cute smile. 

You were mezmorized by his smile. It seemed so rare to you. Even in yearbooks, he didn't smile that much. Although you did admit he was a good poser.

Suddenly, Leo put his hand on your cheek. You couldn't help but blush at this suddeness.

 "You are cold." He said. 

Your spirits suddenly sank.

"Aw dammit." You said in your mind as you quieted down your imagination. Perhaps you were overdoing it today, hoping he'd kiss you on the first day.

 

You touched your own hands and noticed how frozen they are. 

"Oh yeah..." You said quietly. Leo stood up and held his hand out, waiting for your gentle tug. 

You took his hand and he gently pulled you up to your feet.

Despite how frozen they were, you managed to stand. 

"You should go home now... " He said. You nodded, hiding your glumness that nothing major happened.

You both departed silently.

Suddenly, you turned around. "Wait! What about the snowmen?" You said while pouting. Leo turned and looked back at the snowmen. "They won't go anywhere." He said, a grin on his face as he thought about your concern over his effortless works. Cute.

Discouraged, you nodded and turned around, slapping yourself so he doesn't see. You wanted to hang out with him more, but you failed to even keep yourself cool.

You kept walking, and you almost made it to your house when heavy footsteps sounded behind you.

Right then, someone pushed you sideways and you fell onto the floor, sprawling to get up. The ground was slippery, so you fell again. You looked up and saw a masked man. Out of all days, today someone decided to rob you. You grunted and rolled your eyes rudely. "What? Do you want my money? I'm a student, I DON'T HAVE ANY." You said madly as you finally stood up and headed home. "I don't want your money." The man said. You stop and roll your eyes again as you faced him. "Then what do you want?" You asked, irritated. "You." He plainly replied before grabbing both of your shoulders. "HAJIMAA!!" You yelled, but he didn't stop. Exactly then, a ball of snow hit the man directly in his face. He let go of you and rubbed the snow off his face, his face flushing red out of anger. In the moment you had, you quickly ran toward your house. You couldn't help but turn around to see if he was following you, but he wasn't.

Instead, the man had ran to the person that threw the snowball at him.

In those few seconds you saw, the man was trying to strangle Leo.
