"Okay guys, we're 2 points close to winning while they have 1." You told your teammates while they were intently listening, some

mesmerized by your sudden change of character. 

It was already the last quarter of the game. The first was won by your team, while the second was won by Minyoung's team. 

And the last quarter decides who is the winner of this fun intense game. The score was 13 to 14, Minyoung was in the lead.

You honestly didn't think that you could have gone this far in a game between you and her, usually you lose during the middle. But you

were determined not to lose this time, or not never.

"If you guys think this is all fun and games, it's not! So wipe off any fun things in your head and get serious, for the next play I

want Minhyuk to switch off with CNU." you declared.

"WHAT!?!?" the two boys said in unison.

"Haeri-sshi. I'm one of the good players here, we're going to lose with him in it!" Minhyuk pointed at CNU.

"Listen to him, I don't even know how to play any sport! You said it yourself, you don't want to lose right?" CNU reasoned.

Hearing this struck you really badly. Why is he doubting himself? You dislike, or should I say hate it when people don't believe in

themselves. 

You've been through many situation where you doubt yourself, but it only made you look like a coward, So you became confident the

years after. 

Your eyes soften, "Dongwoo-sshi, don't be like that okay? Even if you don't believe in yourself, I will." CNU's heart jumped by your

words, she's so kind, he thought.

"Uh... O-o-okay. I'll do it." 

"Really?! Yeah!!!" you smiled making all the boys who were looking at you drop their mouths. They closed it once they regained back

their conscience.

"Okay so CNU, you'll be blocking the ball since you're really tall. All you do it put your hands up and hope that the ball won't hit your

face." you did the gesture, while some giggled at your joke.

He nodded in response, while Minhyuk pouted making you give him an encouraging smile. "I'm fine... with it." he said, making your

smile wider.  "15 seconds until breaks over!" Coach Lee blew the whistle.

"Okay, hands in." you put your hand down first, while the others follow in suit. "1 2 3 4...... uh..." you stuttered, not knowing how to call

off the meeting. 

"I'll be buying kimchi fried rice for all of us if we win." Minhyuk spoke. 

"We have to win now!" one of your teammates said.

"Okay guys! Kimchi on 3. 1... 2.... 3.."

"KKKIIIIIIIMMMMMMMCCCHIIIIII!!!!!" they yelled.

Minyoung was at the serving line, taking her time at her serve. She bounced the ball a couple of times and firmly placed the ball on her

left hand.

She raised her right hand, took a step forward, and spiked the ball earning some Ooos' and Ahhhs' at either side. The ball was hit

really hard but luckily one of your teammate was able to hit it.

I ball came back and forth and back and forth, occasionally getting hit 2 or 3 times. CNU was like a cat chasing a toy, trying to get the

ball.

He was next to the net, so he had an easy chance of blocking the ball, but failed the first two times it came over. The ball was getting

passed on Minyoung's side.

The girl volleyed the ball letting someone have the chance to spike at it, to stop the ball from coming back. "I GOT I GOT I

GOT!!!" Minyoung's childish voice rang through the gym. 

CNU already had his hands out waiting, hoping he'd be able to block this ball. Once the ball made contact

with Minyoungs palm, CNU launched up, closing his eyes in the process.

Loud cheers erupted from the students, CNU opened his eyes, while Minyoung widen her eyes in shock. "He... H-he... he...." she

stuttered. 

"YOU DID IT!!! YOU BLOCKED THE BALLLLL~" You ran up to CNU and hugged him in joy, with others joining in the hug. CNU was

startled by your action but smiled. 

"I did it! I did it!" he screamed happily.

"You guys only won one point. You still need 2 more to officially celebrate and win." Minyoung said, irritated at them. 

And so the game continued, the score was now 14 to 14, a tie breaker. Just as Minyoung said you needed 2 more to win the game.

You were determine to get them and so was Minyoung.

Your team rotated making it your turn to serve the ball. You threw the ball in the air and spiked, getting the same reaction like how

Minyoung served hers. 

The ball was now on her side, "3 hits!" Minyoung informed. The first hit was a bump, that was passed to the setter, which the setter

passed to Minyoung so she could spike at the ball again.

She made contact with the ball, but this time is was harder and faster, making it seem like the ball instantly land on the floor.

"Minyoung's team 1 point!" Coach Lee shouted.

The whole class was dumb founded thinking if something like this could really happen. But what they didn't know what that Minyoung

was hurting, badly.

She was taught this move in her old school but her coach specifically told her not to do it because she injured her wrist once doing it

the first time. 

She didn't care, she let her determination to win get her. They were about to continue the game when the fire drill bell rang loudly that

caused groans from the class.

"Okay guys I want you to go out in an orderly fashion, no running and stay in a line!" Coach Lee said, but no one listened. They were

busy covering their ears, talking with each other, and scattered everywhere. 

He sighed, knowing they wouldn't listen and walked along with the class. Once you went outside the building people were pushing not

caring about others safety. 

One person even scratch your neck in the process. You didn't mind and just kept walking, until the school was deserted. Every student

were standing outside either chatting with others or sitting down waiting.

You touched your neck and felt something was wrong. And indeed something was, the necklace that Minyoung gave you was gone.

Why was it so important?

1. It came from Minyoung, and 2. it had a special meaning behind it. The necklace had a simple design, an arrow. 

"An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it mean it's going to launch you

into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming." 

Minyoung had said when she first gave you that necklace at the beginning of high school. This made you confident even when you

were bullied. 

A pain came from the back of your neck, Someone must've ripped it off, I have to get it back. "Haeri! Haeri!" your cousin called out to

you, but you ignored and ran to find your necklace. 

"What's up with her?" she mumbled to herself, while exercising her wrist. You got scratch nearby the schools entrance, so you

immediately went there. 

What you didn't know that someone also followed you, noting that you were looking for something. That person walked up to the stairs

all the way to the roof, where she found plants by the edge. 

She looked down and saw you still crawling, not aware of what's going to happen. Without second thought she placed the plant by the

edge, spot where you were, and pushed it down. 

Sounds of fallen glass was heard, the girl looked down to see if she hit you. Once she looked down, someone had you in his arms, he

looked up and caught a glimpse of the girl. 

She quickly retreated, thinking about what she did. She slipped to the ground and cried silently. But who was the person that caught

you?

Of course it'd be your life saver, Blondie. You witnessed every thing especially when the pot landed on the ground. Your heart's beat

fasten once you realized what position you guys were in.

"Why are you so troublesome?" he chuckled making you embarrassed.

"I-it's not m-my fault I attract trouble."

"Come on, let's get up. You're lucky I came in time." he helped you stand.

"How'd you know I was in danger?" you questioned. 

"Your cousin was panicking when she couldn't find you,so I helped her find you." you nodded understanding. Only if you were the one

intentionally looking for me I would've been happy. 

You looked down and noticed he's leg bleeding. You quickly took his hand and walked him to the clinic. "Where are we going?" he

asked. 

"Pabo, your leg got injured while saving me, to show my gratitude I'll clean your wound." you smiled at him. During your time with him,

you got to know a lot about him. 

The way he flips his hair when it gets on his face, the way he would purposely walk slowly to match up someone's pace, but what

bothered you was how a small smile would come on his face when Minyoung was mentioned.
