What he really thinks...
Yongguk One Shots
My sneakers were making that squeaky sound against the wet pavement as I went down the street with big steps. The cars that passed by landed on puddles of the road, sprinkling more water to my clothes. My dark, green hoodie really wasn’t doing its job. Weren’t hoodies supposed to make you feel secure and warm? Almost like they are holding everything you are inside its stitches? It was already damp by the time I got to the front door, making me feel cold to the core.
However my thoughts were on fire, swirling around like a mad tornado and they needed an escape. The only one who could turn out this fire, taking away the despair and pain that invaded my mind was my best friend, Yongguk.
Like a wet dog I knocked on his door rather loudly, but no answer. The house was practically deserted. The only place he could be right now was at the garage, working on his Hummer. I pulled up the gate doors and saw his long legs coming under the car. Since I came in rather unceremoniously, he quickly rolled out on the creeper with tool in hand, ready to attack.
My eyes scanned his body. It was covered with car oil and his hair was a mess. I couldn’t help but feel a little bad for not calling before coming here. He also scanned my attire that was no longer damp, more like soaking wet. But what really made Yongguk’s siren of red alert go on were my eyes. They were bloodshot red.
I took two steps forward and said,
“I’m sorry, I know you’re busy. But right now I need to talk to you.”
In two seconds he was in front of me, but I could see it in his eyes that he already knew what I was about to ask. And that infuriated me. I had to avert my gaze away from his eyes. But through my teeth I spitted out,
“What did… What did he say about me Yongguk?” The rumors of my ex-boyfriend had been spreading around about me were aimed so that anyone who called themselves a friend would turn against me. His plan was working. However, I couldn’t care less if people thought I was a or if they wanted by all means not be my friends anymore.
But there was someone’s opinion I valued the most and it was Yongguk’s.
He wiped the sweat on his forehead with the back of his hand and said with a growl,
“It doesn’t matter”
“It does to me!” I shouted with desperation, tears almost spilling out of my eyes. I wiped them off with anger, hating the taste of them on my lips. “It matters because I’m afraid of to lose you. You think I care what that bastard is doing? NO, I don't. And yes everyone is leaving me behind, changing their opinion about me. But not you Bang Yongguk. What you think of me does matter.”
Looking down at the floor I couldn’t help how my voice came out. Low and defeated but it spoke the truth “You’re my best friend…”
His arms enveloped me and protecting my mind from my insecurities. With a pecks on my temple he explained,
“You wanna know what I think about you ________ah? I see a girl that fights for what she believes in. A girl that likes simple things yet her mind is a complicated place. Yes, a beautiful contradiction that I love about you. You give yourself so much to others that you don’t even realize it and that’s why I know its genuine. You are girl that haves high morals and even if someone comes and tries to destroy it, her history puts them to shame. You are someone I love to tell people, ‘You see that girl right there? Yeah, she’s my best friend’. So in the end ____________, should you worry about what he told me? No, because I know who you are. I know what you can give. My opinion about you will never change.”
Knowing that Yongguk was a man of few words, my arms around him tighten. They will always stay in my mind. I couldn’t help but sigh with content. I laid my head on his shoulder and whispered a thank you. Looking down he gave me his famous gummy smile and gently wiped off the trail of fallen tears. He pouted playfully and shook his head.
“I don’t like it when you cry…”
“I wont cry anymore, I promise.”
“Good” He looked for the car keys and tossed them to me. “Wanna go for a ride?”
“No. Way. I get to drive your Hummer?! Sweet!”
“Only around the block!”
Hello my dear ones, Lunna Here! :3
I needed to vent my feelings today so here is this oneshot. I put it in a friendship based because for me friends are really important. Isn't a relationship a union of two best friends? I believe so. I love reading scenarios like where he is your friend and it develops into something more. Its more realistic than the simple "oh you're cute i think love you scenario"
Nahhh Lunna doesn't roll like that. hahaha
I'm sorry that I barely update. I just have no motivation to write lately. It's either I have no inspiration or I just ask too much of myself. Dami knows my struggle really well. She believes I'm a perfectionist and I can't help but to not argue on this. I think if you're gonna write something and you're not able to move people and feel what you feel then you're not doing a good job. So I end up with the ideas on my head waiting for that moment of bliss to write them. If only there was a USB that i could connect my mind to the computer and BAAAAM story written hahaha. Sighhhh
I got to say Amanda is a master on updating The Undomestic Nanny! *Recommends Story* I dont know how she does it!! kkkk
But anyways I hope you enjoyed this one shot.. And remember.... Fake friends believe in rumours. Real friends believe in you.
Hmmm what do you think, should write a second part for this??
