Let's Try
Loving a Man
Jessica’s face couldn’t be painted while Sehun was applying the cotton with iodine solution on her wound.
“This is just betadine, Sica. This won’t hurt and besides, your wounds are just a scrape.”
"Sorry." She lowered her head.
"You were so brave when you stepped on a shard of glass. That was even deeper than your scrape today." He was currently applying band-aid on her wounds.
The truth was, it really didn't hurt. It was just that it felt like she was being burned everytime their skin touched. She stared at her husband. He was really handsome. She wanted to shower him with kisses and drown him in her embrace.
"Hey, Sica. Are you alright?" He snapped a finger in front of her face. It was like she was awakened from her sleep.
"Y-yeah," she stuttered. "Thanks," she added.
"Thanks for?" He asked and gently stood up though he was still in front of her.
"For everything. You just don't know how happy I am Sehun. I love you." She said with all of her heart.
He avoided her gaze and slightly smiled. "You're welcome, Jessica." He answered
But there was no 'I love you, too.'
She looked down to hide the disappointment from her eyes. Was her decision right to fight for her husband even though she knew he didn't love her?
In the end, it's all worth it, her heart shouted even though her mind was telling her how foolish it was for her to continue giving herself a hard time just because of a guy that had someone else.
"Would you like to come with me and have dinner outside?" He offered and that stopped her from her useless thoughts. She didn't notice that he was back from returning the first aid kit.
"Dinner?"
