This Generation

Random Poems

From that summer that we all called a blast
We've been told that those memories are supposed to last
Why is it those good times feel so vague?
Why can't I seem to remember them anymore?

As I get older even though I'm still young
Sometimes it's just better to hold back my tongue
People start getting distant, they're so far away
I'll just keep quiet for yet another day

Memories are now made on the internet, viral or not
Where are the good times we all sought?
It's no longer in person, it's on a site or a phone
Social media isn't as social as you think

We're all a drone behind some mindless technology
I admit, even I succumb to this type of psychology
We've all said this or heard it before, but I'll say it again
"It's a generation full of smart phones and dumb people"
