Chapter Three

“Pshh- you guys changed locations last minute, of course I’m gonna be late. And Soyoonie’s not even here yet!” Jiyoon said, they were the only ones the shop.

“Haha go place your order, they’ll bring our stuff when Soyoon comes,” Jaemin said, it was her turn to treat.

“Vanilla waffle bowl with chocolate chips, whipped cream with caramel on top please!” Jiyoon said to the server and sat down, “How was drama practice?”

“Fun! We had an improvisation practice. Himchan and Jaehyo Oppa were really funny!  We just got the scripts for the fall play. Auditions are next week,” Jaemin replied.

                “Oooh! What’s the play?”

“It’s twist, a Joseon era version of Boy’s Over Flowers,” Jaemin said as the other two girls immediately began to squeal with excitement.

“Oh my gosh! This is like a daebak idea!” Minah said.

“I know like they always do like the ‘Modern Romeo and Juliet’ or something like that but that’s so cool!” Jiyoon said.

“What are you guys so excited about?” Soyoon asked as she walked in, “Medium cake batter with toffee and whipped cream and chocolate syrup please!” Soyoon ordered.

                “The fall play-” Jiyoon began.

“They’re doing a twist by making it-” Jaemin continued.

“A Joseon era version of Boy’s Over Flowers!” Minah finished.

“Omo! That’s a daebak idea! Are they doing that to honor Hyunjoong Sunbaenim?” Soyoon asked.

“It could be, since his entire group is now focusing on individual activities and he just got a big modeling deal, and in the US no less!” Jaemin said.

“I liked his group name, it had a really good meaning behind it,” Minah said.

“You know we’ve been together in on this plan since the beginning of middle school, how is it that we never thought of group names?”  Soyoon said.

“We love more dancing and making covers!” Minah said.

“Should we do one with our names like Yoon2Min?” Jaemin said.

“Omo! MinYoon Squared!” Soyoon chirped letting her inner math geek out.

“Or something like 4ever or…or Gemstones; and we can each like have a gem be our like stage name or something!” Minah piped up.

“That’s a good one, why 4ever?” Jaemin asked.

“Oh I get it! The four of us have been friends for four years now so we are officially becoming a group in our fourth year and we will be together and friends forever!” Jiyoon said piecing everything together, Minah nodding her head.

“Wow, coming up and choosing a name is harder than I thought it would be,” Soyoon said with a sigh.

Their ice-cream arrived and the girls dug in, contemplating other possibilities with each other.

“What do you think our OTP names would be?” Soyoon asked out of  the blue.

                They all chuckled.

“Jaemin and Minah would be 2min or something like that,” Jiyoon said smiling.

“Aw! Shiro! That’s some OTP of a Ji Park group! You and Soyoon would be 2Yoon!” Minah said.

“But then they would be copying 4minute sunbaenims. That’s what Gayoon and Jiyoon sunbae’s sub-unit and otp are called,” Jaemin said.

“Haha they can’t call any of us Minyoon couple because there are two possibilities,” Jiyoon said amused.

“OTPs are so much fun!” Soyoon said.

“My favorite one was G-Ri. Oh em gee! Ew there were so many girls who shipped Seunghyun Oppa and Jiyong Oppa together!” Minah said.

Jiyoon fake puked, Jaemin chuckled, “Yeah but they didn’t know that they were related. Oh you know Zelo’s friends the twins! People still ship them together!” Jaemin said.

                They laughed.

“Oh my gawd! We get off on so many tangents!” Minah exclaimed.

“That’s what makes us awesome,” Jiyoon said with a grin.

                They all smiled.

“I think deciding on our group name is going to take some time,” Minah said.

“Yes it has to be perfect!” Jaemin said.

“Let’s meet up again sometime this week and work on it more,” Soyoon nodded in agreement.

                “Call?” Jiyoon said agreeing.

“Call!” the other three replied as they all exited the shop.

                “See you tomorrow!” Soyoon said.

“Later,” Jaemin and Minah said at the same time.

“See ya,” Jiyoon called as they headed in separate ways.

She knew that she had time before the dinner, so she decided to head to the music store, she needed new inspiration. She walked along the road, and people-watched. It was a habit of hers. She always wondered what stories each person might hold. Maybe she could be psychologist one day or a profiler, that’s if she wasn’t a rapper.

She soon arrived at her destination. Now, Jiyoon was graceful on the dance floor but clumsy everywhere else, and a bit oblvious too. So much that she nearly crashed into someone who was exiting the store.

“Chosoamida,” she said looking down when she heard a chuckle.

“Oblivious as ever I see,” the person said.

Jiyoon looked up and gasped, “Jinyoung Oppa? I couldn’t even recognize you!” Jiyoon exclaimed throwing her arms around him giving him a tight hug which he returned.

“Well it has been two years and I do look different,” he said shrugging.

“When did you come back?” she asked him.

“About a week ago- I know where this is going. Chanshik and I are the only ones who are back. The rest are coming later,” he said as Jiyoon pouted.

“What? You are only asking because you want to know if Baro is back,” Jinyoung defended himself.

“Can you blame me for missing my best friend?” Jiyoon asked.

“No, but Baro wasn’t the only one who went to Japan.”

“That’s why I missed you all! IjustmissedBaromore!” She said quickly.

                Jinyoung laughed and Jiyoon grinned.

“I heard a rumor about how you changed a bit and became an aegyo monster, guess that’s not true,” he said.

“No. It is. For a while I was doing a lot of aegyo. It was just a phase! PROMISE!” she replied as Jinyoung raised his brows in amusement, “But enough on that! Oppa what school are you guys going to transfer to?”

“Shinwoo hyung, Baro, and I are going to come to Seo Lake of course,” he said as Jiyoon grinned, “Junghwannie and Chanshik-ah are both going to transfer to Lee Garden.”

“They should have gone to Shin Hill or Hwa Creek. Ilhoon is in at Shin and Junhong, Jongup, and the Jo twins are at Hwa. I mean Lee Garden is a good school but they would have people at those two. Ah- they could have gone to Ssang Orchard too. Jonghyun is there too!”

“Lee is close to our dorm,” Jinyoung replied with another shrug.

“I guess. You five are still serious about making it big out there still huh?”

“Yeah, I mean we don’t mind taking over the businesses from out parents and all, but there is more out there than this competitive divide in Eidol district,” Jinyoung said.

Jiyoon’s eyes hardened, “Competition is healthy.”

“Yah, I don’t mean that! I mean- it just gets a little tiring sometimes you know,” he sighed.

“No, I know what you mean. I ran into someone from Ji Park today. He was really nice. I don’t know his name, he doesn’t know mine; he probably doesn’t know I go to Seo Lake. But without those pieces of information we got along fine,” she said looking down “Sometimes I wonder, if Umma and Appa were still around could that guy and I have been friends? The students from Ji Park aren’t that bad, not all of them.”

“So it’s taking a toll on you too,” he asked- she just nodded.

“Oppa don’t tell anyone this please,” she asked.

“I won’t. Promise,” he said with a smile, she smiled back.

“Thank you,” she replied softly, she cleared , “SO- When will you guys start?”

Jinyoung chuckled at Jiyoon’s obvious change in subject, “When the others come, they will be here in a week or two and then after everyone is settled in we’ll start. Chanshik and I came to get everything started here, and they’re cleaning everything back there.”

“Did you guys get in trouble?”

“NO! Not like that- I mean like, paperwork with school transfers and banks and what not,” Jinyoung said as Jiyoon laughed.

                “Just pulling your leg Oppa.”

“Aish this kid!” he said ruffling her hair.

“AH! ANDWEI!” she moved aside, fixing her hair.

“Payback,” he said grinning as she huffed but she couldn’t help but smile.

“Oppa, stay well then, I’ll be leaving first.”

“You too, I’ll see you around,” he said.

They hugged again before Jiyoon headed into the music store and Jinyong in the direction of his dorm.

Unknown to both of them, two pairs of eyes were watching. One of them happened to be Jiyoon’s over-bearing twin.

He had just finished working on a new composition at the studio for the day and headed to the Bana BBQ Restaurant where he and the boys were meeting up. It was across the street from the music store, two stores to the right. He was making his way to the BBQ when he saw his sister. He smirked knowing that she was going to the music store. That’s when he saw her talking to someone. Zico watched his sister, hug some guy he never seen before and walk into the music store, the said guy walked away. A frown graced his face as he made his way to the inside of the restaurant.

“Nice of you to finally grace us with- woah what’s with the frown hyung?” Jihoon(P.O) asked.

                “Jiyoon,” That’s all he said.

Jaehyo understood, Kyung not so much.

“Is she in trouble?” Kyung asked.

“Yeah she is,” Jaehyo said with a smirk, “She is in trouble with Zico. So which boy did she see this time?”

Taeil and Jihoon rolled their eyes, Minhyuk (B-Bomb) chuckled.

Zico scowled, “That’s the thing I don’t know who it is! This morning, she freaked out on me and TOP Hyung because she couldn’t get a boyfriend-”

“Well, you guys did- well more like Yongguk did scare away what’s his face, Hyunsoo, Hyungsung- whatever his name is- and so I wouldn’t blame her for getting mad,” Minhyuk said.

“Yeah and that kid was good too- in fact I think Jiyoon was the one calling the shots in that relationship,” Taeil commented.

“He was really quiet. I had to ask him to speak louder on several different occasions!” Minhyuk added.

Jihoon laughed, “I think Noona was wearing the pants in that relationship- OUCH!” Jihoon yelled as Yookwon smacked him beside the head and gave him a smirk.

“Ahjumma! Can we get four plates of beef to start out with and seven bowls of rice and kimchi, water for everyone!” Yookwon ordered, “I wouldn’t put it past Jiyoon to secretly date since you three have always been in her business.”

                “So what happened?” Jaehyo asked.

“I was coming here from the studio and I saw Jiyoon in front of the music store, she was talking with someone. Then I saw that it was a guy and next thing I know she’s hugging him!”

“Zico chill it could be a friend of hers,” Kyung said.

“It wasn’t, I would know!” Zico said.

                “What happened next?” Taeil asked.

“She went inside the store and he went his way,” Zico shrugged.

“Maybe it’s someone Noona hasn’t seen in a long time?” Jihoon said.

Even though he was right no one paid attention to him.

“I would still recognize him,” Zico said.

“I think you’re being over-protective here,” Yookwon said.

“She might date some really bad dude later just to spite you three,” Minhyuk put out there.

                “WHAT! NO!” Zico said.

“Well if you guys control her like that- I mean if you look at her friends, Jaemin dated that one kid for like half a year before they broke up, Minah is still in a relationship with that Hyunsik dude, and Soyoon’s siblings don’t meddle too much whenever she is with a guy. Then you look at Ailee who can flirt with whoever and not have to worry about him getting killed. And Jiyoon? Jiyoon’s longest relationship was a month… and she can barely talk to anyone without you guys asking too much about it,” Minhyuk said.

“Surprisingly it’s TOP hyung who is the most chill about Jiyoon dating,” Yookwon added.

“He’s only chill if the person can pass our pre-screening,” Zico smirked.

Jaehyo shook his head and Taeil snorted, “Very few people can pass the screenings of all three of you.”

“I doubt that even some of us would be able to pass,” Minhyuk chuckled.

The ahjumma brought them their food, “THANK YOU! WE’LL EAT WELL!” they all said.

“What! Hyung,” Jihoon said turning to Zico, “You mean that even if I wanted to be with Noona you wouldn’t let me?”

The others chuckled remembering when Jihoon had a crush on Jiyoon back in grade school- it only lasted a week.

“No, you fail the screenings. You’re too annoying,” Zico teased as Jihoon pouted.

“I don’t think he would let any of us date Jiyoon- Yah, you should send her off to a nunnery,” Yookwon said.

“He would probably let Kyung date her,” Jaehyo said.

                “What!’ Minhyuk said.

“WHY HYUNG AND NOT ME?” Jihoon screeched.

“That’s the conclusion I came to this morning too!” Zico said.

“Wait what?” Kyung said, in total confusion.

“I’ll ask again- WHY HYUNG AND NOT ME!”

“AISH- Shikuro!” Yookwon said smacking Jihoon again causing the younger to pout.

“I think I get it,” Jaehyo said.

                “Jaehyo knows all,” Taeil snorts.

“Shut up! I just use my brain-”

“Ah! So you’re not just a pretty face!” Minhyuk teased.

Jaehyo glared, “AS I WAS SAYING- Jihoon is ruled out because he is younger and also more irresponsible, Yookwon is out because he is a player. Am I right so far?”

                “More or less,” Zico confirmed.

“Then Taeil is ruled out because he likes being around the water too much, with Jiyoon’s phobia that’s not exactly the best match and he has had a thing for Nicole since he met her,” Taeil looked away embarrassed, “Minhyuk is probably ruled out because he went through ten girlfriends in two years and the yadong incident-”

“YAH! THAT WAS BECAUSE OF A VIRUS ON THE COMPUTER! YOU EVEN WENT WITH ME TO BUY A NEW ONE!” Minhyuk shouted.

“YAH! Keep it down we’re in a restaurant!” Yookwon said as Jaehyo and Taeil murmured ‘Chosoamida’ to the customers in the tables around them.

“That just leaves me and Kyung,” Jaehyo said as Zico nodded, “I would have been an option too if it wasn’t for the fact that I have a lot of fangirls since I am an ulzzang.”

“Narcissist!” Jihoon coughed, high-fiving Minhyuk and receiving a glare from Jaehyo.

Jaehyo cleared his throat, “I mean you all have your fangirls and all but they're all from Eidol District and I have them outside of the district too. This leaves us with only Kyung.”

“Hyung! Were you like psychologist in another life?” Zico asked.

“Yeah, how did you come to that conclusion?” Kyung asked.

“It’s logic. You’re the only one Zico would trust besides me to take good care of Jiyoon. That and you’re responsible and Jiyoon isn’t as reckless around you as she is with others which means she is less likely to do things that are bad ideas,” Jaehyo said.

“It’s not that I don’t trust the rest of you!” Zico defended, “It’s just…Kyungie…” Zico sighed.

Today was definitely one of the days he regretted what happened five years ago.

                Yookwon patted his friends back.

“We know, Jiho. It’s okay, we know…” Taeil said.

Jihoon coughed, “So because Noona is less reckless around Hyung that’s why she should date him?”

“Aish this kid! NO! Kyung is just the better match for Jiyoon out of all of us- of course I would be the best if it wasn’t for my fangirls,” Jaehyo said.

“Yah! You talk like you aren’t talking about my sister!”

“Dude your sister is a like one in a million, Jaehyo, Taeil and I only see her as a dongsaeng but others don’t,” Minhyuk said.

“Yeah, Noona is definitely different. But if she wasn’t reckless she wouldn’t be Noona.”

“Don’t kill me but if she wasn’t my best friends twin I probably would have hit on her,” Yookwon said.

Kyung stayed silent. He didn’t know what he thought of Jiyoon. ‘Leave it to Jaehyo to put ideas in my head…’

She was pretty, he admitted that. He did have a soft spot for her…but he actually never thought of ever being more than a friend with her. Maybe it was because she was his best friend’s twin and he didn’t cross that line. But Jiho thought of him as the only few people who he would actually like to see his sister with. That was a green light. But was it one that wanted? He didn’t know, but he was going to find out.

Jiho sighed maybe it's time that he and his brothers stop acting like Jiyoon was ten. But he couldn't help but wanting to keep her safe.

Author's Note: So how was it? Shipping Kyung and Jiyoon yet? Ah! Yes I mentioned the incident from five years ago again! Hehe that is still a secret *le kyuhyun smirk* Who was the other guy that saw her with Jinyoung. What about the group names? Personally I'm a little unpleased with what I have so far- if you have any ideas please comment and let me know!

Chapter 1: Mmm I like the writing! But personally the plot doesn't capture me, and I'll tell you why as not-offensively as I can manage! So please don't be hurt by my words <3 I'm only trying to give some feedback and not trying to put you down!

1. Your writing is great. It flows well and enough detail is given. But try to vary your sentence structures. If you put a full stop and begin a new sentence, look at your last 2 sentences and try to decide on a different word to begin the sentence. For example, it could be "It was ___. But___. Although___." instead of "But___. But___. However___."
2. Too much information not evolving the plot is given. Eg. the stuff about the cousins and Zico's name. The beginning of a story/chapter is especially important in setting the scene, so it's better to have a mood or atmosphere build up in the first few paragraphs, rather than a lot of side notes for character(s).
3. Some things that needed more explanation weren't explained. Now I'm not sure if you went on to talk about what Block B is what the 'group names' are for, but for impatient readers like me who want to understand things from the first chapter, I wouldn't give you a second chance by checking out the next few chapters just to find out what I was wondering about in chapters one.

ALL IN ALL A GREAT EFFORT! This is your first fic so it really is a very decent effort! My first fic was ugly as hell (Childhood Promises) so please don't be discouraged by my harsh advice! Practice makes perfect! <3 <3

Chapter 2: Okay... I loved it!!! I'm only commenting now because I was reading it slowly and trying to grasp the ideas put forth. I usually read everything quickly because it's slow but I like the pace this is set at!! Hope you update soon, you haven't given names to your characters yet >.<
