*Okay, i got really inspired after watching 71 in to the fire for the nth time, and i decided to make a short story based on it with TopSica, i don't own any of the orginal script in the movie. this is just for the sake f our OTPs. so i hope there would be no misunderstanding happen in the future. 

It was June 25, 1950, whereas South Korea was in a big conflict with its other half country North Korea, and due this college students those days will leave their families and live in the army to protect and fight for South Korea’s freedom, and that includes a young guy name Choi SeunHyun, a boy who just dream to become a great musician, he live in a average family, his father past away due to a murder happened when unknown men trespassed in their home one night, it was subjected that the mastermind of his father’s death was his opponent for the candidacy of mayor in Jamsil, since then even he was young he stood as the father and head for his family, and as time passed and he grew older, his desire is to achieve his dreams and live happily with his future family but it was not going to happen since he is obligated to fight for his beloved country, at first he was hesitated but later gave in since it was for the next generation

His bag are packed and they are just waiting for a truck that also carrying other students to go in the war, SeungHyun was sitting in a chair in their nearby porch, his mother and little sister are across to him, tearing for SeungHyun’s unwanted departure

None of them tend to talk, cold breeze are just heard around them, then a loud honk disturbed the peacefulness that surrounds them, telling that it’s time to go , SeungHyun stood up and got his bag before he made his way to the truck, his companion help him load his things then he turned around for the last time

“omma, uljima!!!! I’ll be back… wait for me…” he shouted before he run back to his mom and little sister sooyoung and gave them a warm and tight hug

He barely cries but this time he was just a little boy, scared from whatever things that could happen to him, no one knows, it’s all in his luck

Then they let go and he immediately run back to the truck and rode to it, the truck and revved up and swiftly went to his destination, he made his final wave to them as a hot tear escaped from his almond shape eyes, it’s hard for him to go especially, he knew that his family need him but he can’t do anything

He let out a sighed a before he sat down besides his bag, he curled up himself and rested his head above on his knees, he knew that once they arrived and step down on their awaiting grave in the middle of war is his final destination but he still hopes to go back and be with his family

After a half day in the army truck they arrived at the camp area, one by one with his co-student soldiers, got down of the truck and immediately fell in a straight line, they are all sweating and kind of smell but they must endure these little things if they want to survive, then a man who uses to be the captain of the troop step out of the military tent

He stood still and salutes before he spoke

“As for now… I’m congratulating all of you to be here… let’s save our country for our family…” he said in a stern voice before he left again to go back to his work with his trusties

Then a head troop leads the way to their military tent, they walked in unison steps, as they are near, his attention was caught by a another tent, whereas it composes most of female, he bet it was the volunteer nurses

And one caught his attention, it was a girl who was carrying a pail of water, about to pour it in a bigger container, he noticed that she had difficulties to the task since she was petite and to be exact a girl, he put down his bag and made way to the girl to help her

“otteoke~” the girl said to herself as she finds the water was half spilled on the ground already as she tried to transfer it

But in her surprise the pail felt light as she poured it, she thought that she succeed by herself but when she was about to put it down and hand got it from her, she flinched as he saw a young handsome man in front of her

“omo!!! Anyonghaseyo…” she nervously greeted SeungHyun

“Do you need help?” SeungHyun asked her immediately

“Ani, I can do it…” she said as she grabbed the pail back and walked away

He watched the girl walked away nervously, a tiny smile plastered on his lips, but her thought of her disturbed when their head troop called him for a punishment: which is 50 push ups

Week past and they all do is nonstop training, and always alerting their selves for the coming war, but those hardships paid of whenever he saw her, the girl he used to met in his first day, but too bad he is not the only one who is admiring her a lot of his friends do, but he can’t blame them, she is beautiful from all of the volunteer, even she just woke up, she is pretty like a radiant sunshine, called him a stalker but every morning he will hide not too far from her tent just to see her beautiful face, this made him feel more alive and active and time of their formal introduction came

All of them are in the grounds, Indian sitting in a circular form, where their captain pointed to him and his friend JiYong to oppose to each other in a fist match, this match serves as their training ground, they both stood up and headed in the center, the captain told them to have sparing match, SeungHyun is the first one to throw a punch then JiYong fought back, as the match went on, they had blood on both of their lips, no man wants to surrender until the captain call it draw, the captain was amaze because of their strength and perseverance. JiYong and SeungHyun bowed to each other and gave each other a brotherly hug. The captain told them to go to the medical tent to heal their wounds

As the two walked to the medical tent, the other student soldiers went on sparing as time goes by, SeungHyun and JiYong walked in the medical tent, they saw no one, they settled themselves by just sitting in one of the flat beds.

“Hyung, you punched me too hard.” JiYong playfully muttered as he touched his jaw

“Well, you too… JiYongie…” SeungHyun answered as he playfully ruffled his dongsaeng’s hair

“Anyeong…” an angelic voice interrupted their brotherly moments

Both of the young lads stop from what they are doing and looked at to the girl in front of them, they are awed to see her, their dream girl but either of the guys don’t know that they felt the same way in just one girl

“What happened?” SooYeon asked the two

“We got into a sparing…” JiYong said shyly

“Chinja? Appa is just too harsh, isn’t he?” SooYeon said while preparing the things she needed in order for her to heal the two

“Appa?” both SeungHyun and JiYong asked while their eyes pop out in surprise

“Neh…” SooYeon said before she giggled from what she saw, she find it funny yet cute and playful

Then suddenly SooYeon approached the two, she sat on one of the flat beds opposite and facing SeungHyun and JiYong, while they are just watching her do her work and how delicate and fragile she is, she first cleaned JiYong’s wounds, she got a wet cloth and wiped it in his lips gently

“This will hurt a bit…” SooYeon reminded JiYong before she show her sweet smile

Then she damped the cotton with solution to Jiyong’s wounded lips, he flinched a little because of the sudden pain, but the pain easily went away when he is looking at the beautiful maiden in front of him

“JiYong-shi… Leader Hwang wants to see you…” a co-soldier called JiYong

Then JiYong stood up and bid goodbye to her and to his Hyung

“Aahh… JiYong-shi…” SooYeon run to him and put a bandage onto is wound, JiYong patted her head and flashed a smile before he go.

SooYeon went back to SeungHyun to clean his wounds too

“You are blushing…” SeungHyun told to her

“BWO? ANI~” she said hiding her pinkish face from him and just continue to damp the cloth in the water before she squeezed the excess

Then she did the same, she cleaned SeungHyun’s wounds but he is not like JiYong who flinched because of pain, he didn’t show any emotion and just looked at SooYeon intensely and without blinking

“It there anything wrong with my face?” SooYeon asked when she noticed SeungHyun’s intense look

But SeungHyun didn’t answer and just stay silent while SooYeon continue her job

“This will hurt too…” SooYeon reminded SeungHyun before she damped the new cotton with solution to his wounded lips too and in her surprise he didn’t bother to move until she finished it

“What a strong man you are…” SooYeon praised him while she was fixing the things she used a while ago

SeungHyun was just staring at her for the long time, admiring and daydreaming then he saw her approaching him but he immediately stood up

“Kashamnida… SooYeon-shi…” he said with her deep voice before he bowed

He was about to turned his back and walk away

“Wait…” SooYeon grabbed his arm and made him faced her

SeungHyun was nervous, this is the first time he felt this kind of emotion. He felt electricity when she touched him

“Wae?” SeungHyun asked her while keeping compose his self

“Here…” SooYeon said as she got his hand and placed an imported Hershey’s Chocolate Bar in his palm

“What for?” he asked while still get hold of himself

“For being tough while I am healing your wounds…” she said with a smile before she slowly let go of his hand

SeungHyun felt his cheeks got hot

“Are you blushing?” SooYeon while looking at him curiously

Upon hearing her question, all he can do is to run outside of the tent leaving the dumbfounded SooYeon alone, SooYeon followed him

“YAH!!!! Thanks for not saying thank you!!!” Sooyeon shouted to SeungHyun who was running for his life

Her shouting causes other soldiers who are practicing, preparing, cleaning and resting to looked at her with amazement for seeing lost her temper for the first time, while her sunbae nurses looked at her with teasing look causing her to feel embarrassed and run back to the tent

Sorry ofr those who expect that i'm going to post JiSica. please forgive me, i promise i'll make it up to you ASAP. :)
